Which is exactly what Take A Stand is all about, making lemonade. This is the 5^th annual Take A Stand. If you have any children in your life or the lives of those you know, I hope you will take a look at this fun opportunity for kids to learn about and practice giving back to the community by raising funds for their favorite charity.

Last year Sunkist gave 15,000 lemonade stands to kids for this purpose and this year they plan to give 20,000 lemonade stands for “thoughtful kids eager to make a difference”. Besides learning about giving they get to learn about running a business, marketing, money and have fun. (You don’t have to tell them all the neat things they’re going to learn, they’ll figure that out for themselves after they are finished.)

I hope you will give the children you know a chance to feel all the great emotions that we feel when we give to others, especially when we do more than just write a check.
