Start an Epidemic!

Often on the news we hear the awful tales of how epidemics have spread in our society.  As a healthcare provider, I am constantly notified on the spread of MRSA, a virus that does not respond to most antibiotics.

Proper hygiene, and "Washing your hands"  can, and does, slow down and stop the spread of many of these virus strains.

Another epidemic spreading like a wildfire in our society is negativity and constant complaining.

Even during this season which encourages us to focus on Gratitude and Brotherly Love, I find people walking around grumbling and complaining about anything and everything. Mostly because they don't have the time to create a Norman Rockwell setting for their holiday gatherings.

I often remind people (myself included) “who knows, or cares, that things aren't decorated or prepared, just so.” Most of us do not aspire to be a clone of Martha Stewart. How may people will remember if the color coordinated napkins were tied with raffia and a nature tinted leaf from our yard?

Memories of my family gatherings, while growing up, didn't include remembering what color the napkins were. Just remembering the people that were there, and the great time tasting all the wonderful foods prepared with enthusiasm and love.

Speaking of enthusiasm and love... They too are contagious!

Start an epidemic and spread some around.
