The Week That Got Away

It has been one of those weeks! You know the kind… with too few hours and too few days to get it all done.

Many of the things that needed to get done, did. But, that didn't leave any time for anything else and the week just seemed to fly by. I jumped up and said, "Oh my, I forgot to write a story for this week! Where did the week go?”

Then I started to think of all the things on my "Had to do" list and I found out exactly where the week went!

I am trying to prepare to drive from New Jersey to Florida to attend a wedding this coming weekend. Just trying to squeeze in other things to get ready has stolen a lot of time. Between getting my car ready, my things ready, and my 90 year old mother ready (who changes her mind about going from day to day) and my working, plus remembering a million things, like renewing prescriptions, etc. there really isn't enough time in a day for me. I try stretching it (the day, that is) as far as it will go, but some how I always come up short.

Life has a habit of getting in the way of the best made plans and then changing them all around.

Many of you know exactly what I mean.

I believe people are the most important things in the world and that other things can wait, most of the time. When you are involved with many people time does slip away and then you find yourself asking "Where did the time go?" I know better, but sometimes need to be reminded that when I totally rely on God, He stretches the day and it all seems to get done. When I try to do it all myself, nothing gets done to completion and I become totally exhausted in the process.

The secret to getting it all done well and on time? Remember the Source.

Ask Him for the help you need and thank Him in advance for getting it all done to perfection…and on time.

Then, you will have the time to enjoy the sun rising and setting as a reminder that He is still there and in charge of every minute, every hour, every day of every week.
