Giving Thanks

So many people have faced devastation in the past few years. Yet, many of them are the most thankful.  Thankful, that they are alive.  Thankful for all those who helped and saved so many.

Then there are those who have faced an awful disease and have lived to tell their story.

We each have been blessed. Even though we sometimes do not recognize our blessings.

There is a little poem called “Be Thankful” that I keep in my office. Today I read it on AmazingBlessed.com. Here are the words.

Be Thankful

Be thankful that you don’t have everything you desire.  If you did you would have nothing to be thankful for.

Be thankful when you don’t know something, for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful in the difficult times, for during these times you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations, because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful when you make mistakes for they will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you’re tired and weary, because it means you’ve made a difference.

It’s easy to be thankful for the good things.  A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful during the difficult times…

Each of us has our own unique list of things we are thankful for, and to be truly thankful we must recognize and acknowledge the source from which all blessings flow.

Thank you my Heavenly Father for being real in my life. Thank you.
