Seeking Wisdom

Some people are still making their New Year’s Resolutions and some have already broken theirs. I seriously considered mine, and the only thing I really want to accomplish in 2009 is gaining wisdom.

To have wisdom is to have “The soul’s food,” Jacob Anatoli is quoted as saying. To others it is having knowledge, experience, good judgment, insight, common sense, intelligence, discernment or enlightenment, and that is what I really want to accomplish this coming year. Yes, all of it.

I really don’t know how to go about acquiring all of the above. But, I do know without a doubt, I will take one step at a time in my search of gaining wisdom.

Actually, I do possess some of it already. I do have common sense. And I certainly have had many experiences which have given me insight into what God wants me to do. So I have used some good judgment in following Him in the past.

Searching for a higher intelligence, discernment and enlightenment is getting to know God. Seeking to know more of HIM is my goal.
