God Given Daisies — by Carole Devecka
What Am I Here For?
Most people wonder from time to time, “What am I here for?” Or “Why am I here?” Or “What is my purpose in Life?”
We are all here for one reason, and that is to do good. To do good works for God, and for others.
It doesn’t matter what age you are, what your physical condition is, or what your financial situation is, we can all find someway to help others.
You can always give a prayer and/or your time. Sometimes that is the greatest thing we can do.
Give time and a prayer to help a friend. Just listening can be a blessing.
Give time to a child or the elderly. Both groups are frustrated by the things they can not do.
Remember to say, “I Love You.” It’s good for the person hearing it, and it’s good for you!
Give sincere praise for a job well done, for kindness given, or for good works given to others.
Ralph Waldo Emerson said in his famous essay on The Law of Compensation, “Whatever you put out into the universe will come back to you ten fold.” So whatever your needs are, recognize them in others, and give.
Love thy neighbor as you would love yourself or do unto others as you would want it done to you.
You will attract all kinds of blessings into your life.
Pray, always thanking God that He dwells inside each of us. See God in everyone and everything. Ask God to use you to do good works and to be a blessing to all you come in contact with.
Soon you will know why you are here.
