DECIDE TO GET ALONG: The Dog, The Cat, and the Rat

Joy sent the following description of the widely popular video seen on U-tube.  After watching you are invited to go to http://www.humanityascending.com/ to learn more and view the documentary series entitled Humanity Ascending.

Although the following video clip is only about 35 seconds, and there are no words to, it is priceless – and a good reminder that we CAN all get along no matter what our differences, or our “expected” roles in life.

It was interesting to read the comments on the page… Some folks obviously “got it” and were very inspired.  Others were in need of some love, healing energy, and compassionate awareness.

I hope you will enjoy and use it as inspiration to DECIDE TO GET ALONG.

This is a video of one of the homeless in Santa Barbara, California and his pets. They work State Street every week for donations. The animals are pretty well fed and are mellow. They are a family. The man who owns them rigged a harness up for his cat so she wouldn't have to walk so much (like the dog and himself).

At some juncture the rat came along, and so no one wanted to eat anyone else, the rat started riding with the cat and often, on the cat. The dog will stand all day and let you talk to him and admire him for a few chin scratches. It is reported that the mayor of Santa Barbara filmed this clip and sent it out as a Christmas card.

TAKE THE SFPNN KINDNESS CHALLENGE!

Living through the words of Gandhi, we must be the change we want to see in the world.  We must also acknowledge those who are in the act of creating those changes.   Therefore, we have two challenges for you.

Kindness Challenge # 1:  Do something kind today and every day.   It doesn’t have to be of earth-shattering proportions to make a positive difference.  Simply saying “Thank You” or letting someone know they’re appreciated can have a tremendous impact.   Find little ways to be kind and to make our world a kinder place.  And feel free to tell us about your kind act!

E-mail: “KINDNESS

Kindness Challenge # 2:  Share something kind someone has done for you!   People are kind to us in a myriad of ways on a daily basis.  But we often overlook their kindness.  Become aware of acts of kindness and acknowledge the person performing them.  Then share their kind gesture with SFPNN.
