LEARN THE LANGUAGES OF LOVE
Misty never spoke a word of English - or German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Korean, or Polish for the matter. Although we never heard her speak the words, "I Love You," verbally, we never doubted her unconditional love for us. She spoke it daily in her purrs and gentle rubs. She said it by curling up in our laps and sleeping by our sides. Her actions spoke more clearly than word ever could.
It would be absurd to expect to hear a cat verbally say, "I Love You." They simply don't know how to talk and weren't designed to communicate in our language. Some people are that way, too. They have good hearts but for one reason or another, cannot speak the words, "I Love You." So just like we would with our pets, if we desire to know we are loved by them, we must hear more than words. We must allow ourselves to see love in their actions and in their true intentions. This can be harder to do with some people than with others, but once we learn to understand how each of us expresses and communicates love, we can create better relationships, and we can rest assured we are loved.
Remember: learn the secret languages of love.
