STRETCH YOUR BODY, STRETCH YOUR MIND
If Misty was an expert at anything, it was cat-napping! She could sleep morning, noon, or night, in silence or in blaring noise, light or dark, in solitude or multitudes. Not only did she snooze, but she'd have sweet dreams as she did. We'd laugh in amusement as her little feet would show the motion of trotting through fields and a smile that spread out her whiskers would appear in her sound sleep. Quite frequently Misty would momentarily wake and stretch her body in a series every imaginable position - and even some that we couldn't imagine!
Sometimes I would take a catnap with Misty and upon waking, I'd stretch, too. Although I've never been one to actually enjoy exercising, stretching felt really good... especially when I noticed that each time I stretched, I could push myself a little further than before without straining or hurting too much. I think learning to stretch just a little beyond our comfort zone is one of life's most basic pleasures. At first it feels like we can't do it, but with a little practice and effort, we soon learn we can… not only physically, but psychologically too!
Remember: Stretch your body, stretch your mind!
