"PAWS" FOR THE MOMENT
Misty loved to sit near, around and even under the Christmas Tree. She'd stare at the twinkling lights and the look of contentment and peace that surrounded her would always catch my attention, making me stop to enjoy the moment with her. It often brought back memories of holidays long gone by when I'd wake up at 4:30am, sneak downstairs and finish my homework by the soft colorful lights of the tree. These memories, both of my childhood and especially of time shared with Misty, always bring a smile and feelings of love and joy to me.
What strikes me most is how simple it is to capture a moment and hold its essence in the photographs of our mind. Just like taking a picture with a camera, all we need do is "paws" and focus. Notice all the details, take a moment to really see and feel what's there… the shapes, sizes, colors, sounds, scents, and especially the emotions and feelings. The most simple, everyday aspects of our lives can become sacred when we stop to notice them and record them within.
Remember: "Paws" for the moment.
