Howdy Folks and Good Day!

How do you feel about who you are?

One thing I’ve come to realize in life is that it’s really important to feel good about ourselves.

We need to be the kind of person we can be proud of every day.  And should we mess up, it’s important to forgive ourselves, pick ourselves up, learn from our mistakes, make amends where needed and get back to being the kind of person we can be proud of.

I’m not talking about the conceited pride of ego, but the gentle pride of bringing divine love into every situation, being authentic, and truly trying to do a good job.  It doesn’t matter if we’re meditating, working, playing, cooking, doing the dishes, driving or spending time with family and friends.  What does matter is bringing a positive attitude and acting with purpose.

Sometimes we’re tempted to compare ourselves with others to judge whether or not we’re giving it our best.  Am I as smart, talented, rich, thin, good looking, religious, etc., as they are?   This might motivate us to try harder at what we’re doing but I wouldn’t recommend using it as our driving force because it gives the ego too much opportunity to make judgments against ourselves and others, blocking out the divinity in us all.

If we want to compare ourselves in order tell if we’re doing well, let’s make those comparisons only against ourselves.  Am I bringing a positive attitude?  Have I learned anything new?  How can I integrate the lessons into my life? Did I bring love and light and into every situation I could?  Did I stick to my personal goals today?  Did I act with compassion and integrity?  Did I respect myself and others?  Did I do my best?

When we live by our own positive guidelines each day of our lives and know we do the best we can in any situation, it’s much easier to feel good about who we are.  And when we feel good about ourselves, we emanate our Divine spirit to everyone and everything around us, raising the energy even higher, making ourselves and everyone else around us feel better, too.

Every now and then it’s good to ask, “Am I the person I truly want to be?”

Hopefully, we can answer “yes!”  Or at least, “pretty close to it!”

If not, it’s time to make some changes and adjustments.  That’s not something to feel bad about.  In fact, it can be pretty darn exciting because it gives us new goals and purpose.  We can get motivated and inspired to change our lives for the better.  And that WILL make us feel good about ourselves… and consequently the world around us.

With Peace, Love, Happiness, Health, and Prosperity…

Do you know what you want? Are you sure?

Mark Twain said it over a hundred years ago: “I can teach anybody how to get what they want out of life. The problem is I can't find anybody who can tell me what they want.”

And it's as true today as it was in the 1800s.

Most of the people I talk with do NOT know. They might think they know, but most don't.

I've been doing an informal survey recently and less than 10% can tell me clearly what they want to achieve. Less than TEN PERCENT! And this is from asking some pretty knowledgeable and sophisticated people.

I just put up a survey (bottom left of our home page) and the question is, “What Do You Think You Need Most to Succeed?” I invite you to participate in this poll.

Already, the top answer is “More Clarity on How to Achieve What You Want”.

The what and the why are always more important than the how. The how is the easy part.

So here's what I see as some of the best ways to get clear on what you want.

What's Important to You?

It starts with knowing yourself and knowing what's important to you. Do you know what your core values are? If you understand what matters most to you, you'll find all the choices you need to make are much easier. The clarity that comes from discovering your core values will position you to gain more fulfillment and experience less frustration.

There's a very popular course on discovering and living your core values at http://YourCoreValues.com

A Mastermind Team

One valuable source of support for you to get clear—and stay clear—on what you want is a mastermind team. Being able to bounce things off from a trusted group makes a huge difference. If you don't have a Master Mind, resolve to form one now. If you already have one, put your best into it—and get all you can out of it. You can even join one that's just forming if you want to be part of my Diamond Club.

Tolerations

Getting clear on what you DON'T want is also a good place to start. Sometimes it's the best way to figure out what you [DO] want.

We recommend keeping a Tolerations List. This is where you record the things in your life you are tolerating. Things that are broken, worn out, don’t feel god or look good. Anything that makes you feel bad.

The idea isn’t to dwell on these things but to bring them to light, so you can see what needs eliminating. It's amazing how fast they get handled just by writing them down.

The opposite of what you don't want can be candidates for things you do want. Having an aging wardrobe can lead to the goal of buying a new one. A toleration of credit card debt can lead to the goal of paying all cards in full every month.

Your Dream List

I recommend keeping a list of everything you've ever wanted. Write down anything that strikes your fancy. They won’t all become goals, but many of them will. It's fun to tap into this well of ideas. Let yourself dream.

Make Sure You Choose What YOU Want

Clear out any expectations that others have of you. Often we get confused because we think the things others want for us belong to us. They don't.

A hint that you're getting close to your own wants is the feeling that goes with it. Our own wants will have a lot of energy around them (excitement, thrill, enthusiasm, etc). If you feel low energy about something, it's probably not something you want or you associate it with too much work and effort to get it.

Invest the Time

Most of our lack or confusion comes from not taking the time to think about what we really want.

Block out some time to think, to make the lists and to talk about it with someone you trust and respect—and who trusts and respects you. Liken this process to an archeological dig. It's a process of discovery. Rest assured the answers are there.

You might have to dig for awhile, though. It may take a number of sessions, but it will be time well invested, because you'll be working on things you TRULY want—things for which you have passion. You will know once you've hit on the right answers. It will feel GREAT.

Clarity Does Lead to Power

Once you are certain about what you want, you can be more conscious about your intent. And the more conscious you are regarding your intent, the more probable your extraordinary success.

5.      Sir Froggie’s Pondering — from Sir Froggie

GIVE IT YOUR BEST BRETT SHOT!

Are you living your best possible life?   Are you giving your all to your Self, your family, health, career, and spirituality?  Do you feel proud of who you are, where you’re at and where you’ve come from?

Give it your best Brett shot!

In a world of fast action video games, glorified villains, and prevailing violence in the media, real life heroes are hard to come by.  It’s even rarer to find someone who’s not only looked up to by their team-mates but their rivals as well.  And when’s the last time you saw someone whose so good at what they do even their six foot, 300 hundred pound, foot ball playing enemies would give them a hug when the possibility of their retirement came about?

Brett Favre is one of those real life action heroes.

What makes him a hero?  He gives it his best no matter what!

And Brett Favre doesn’t wait to give his all; he jumps right in from the start.  In fact, he holds the NFL record for most consecutive starts, at 225.  Brett consistently gives his best shot at whatever he does including shooting a football downfield to his teammates at the equivalent of a 100 mph fastball!  It’s no wonder he’s the NFL’s only three time MVP award recipient between 1995 - 1997.

There’s no question the Green Bay Packer’s No. 04 is a Number One Player when it comes to professional talent.  But skill isn’t the only thing that makes Brett Favre a great guy.  While other football players harass their opponents, and might even blame their teammates for fouled up plays, Brett pats them on the back and lets them know they’ll do better next time.  He encourages, he teaches, he pushes everyone to do their personal best.

When Brett Favre brought the Green Bay Packers back to being a topnotch professional team, he also brought the entire state of Wisconsin with him.  He brought back the light of hope to a region which had been dark for many years.

Brett Favre has earned a hero’s status both on the field and off but it hasn’t come easy.  Just like many of us, he’s survived personal injuries, loss of loved ones, and his wife’s battle against breast cancer.  He could have quit many times and would have been quite justified in doing so.  But he stayed in the game — both on the field and in real life — and gave it his best.

Yet Brett hasn’t taken himself so seriously that he’s let his ego block his perspective, making cameo appearances in movies such as Something About Mary and even a few commercials.

Watching Brett play football and listening to him in interviews truly is an inspiration for us all.

And reminds us that no matter what we’re doing, it’s time to give it our best Brett shot!
