With that out of the way, Wednesdays are our Good News day and I have some good news of my own I’d like to share with you.  J

Part of why I keep trying to encourage everyone to follow their dreams is because I’ve learned to follow mine!   And keep following them.  In fact, last year, at age 37, I decided to get a university education!  I found a wonderful online program and am working toward a Ph.D. in Metaphysical Sciences and a D.D. in Spiritual Counseling.  I felt these degrees would help lend credibility to my Angel Therapy® practice and give me even greater skills to help those who need it.

I also began my Reiki training and as I shared with you last week, I just got certified at Level 2 and want to advance to the Master Healing and Teaching program.  So far, so good!

Now here’s my latest good news… I also just got ordained as a minister!

That’s right, I’m now “Reverend Jeanette.”   :)

I had planned to get ordained when I finished my Ph.D. and D.D., but in order to do Angel Therapy® and Reiki in some states, you either have to be a licensed physician or an ordained minister.  So I got ordained!

I was kind of surprised at how easy the decision came to me and how good it felt.  People have told me for years that SFPNN felt like a special “ministry” to them and that our little e-zine has helped them change their lives for the better.  My ordination feels like it’s opening the door a little wider and I’m happy about that because I think God’s been pushing me in this direction for a long time.  I just wasn’t sure it’s where I wanted to go!    J

I wasn’t even sure I should share it with you yet.  You see, growing up, we were always taught that ministers, pastors, preachers, etc., were kind of off-limits because they were really “special” people.  They were “holy” and “above” everyone else and that you had to be on your best behavior around them or they might judge you.

Heck, I’m still just Jeanette!   And I know every one of us is holy and special!   Just like before, I do my best not to judge anyone but to try to live through Love and allow God’s Divine wisdom and energy to flow through me. The only difference is now I get a title for doing that.

You may start to notice changes in my signature (starting in March) or the information about me on SFPNN’s website to reflect the ordination.  I assure you it is not to be pretentious or because I want people to treat me any differently.

But I do want to remind myself of this commitment to allow God to work through me.  I also hope it will be a source of comfort, trust, and credibility to anyone who reaches out to me either through SFPNN or the Angel Therapy® practice.

Rest assured, no matter what title or initials I earn or put with my name, my goals and mission in life remain in helping people.

And that’s good news!

With Peace, Love, Happiness, Health, and Prosperity…

Jeanette

7.      Wednesday WORD      — by Diane, The California Dreamer

WHO AM I?

"There is a place that you are to fill and no one else can fill, something you are to do, which no one else can do."

Florence Scovel Shinn

Each and every person is unique and an individual.

Each one of us brings into the world a very special gift that only we can give.

The challenge for us is to figure out or accept what our gift is and give that gift to the world freely.

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when I ask "Who are you?"

I am a parent - a sister - a brother - child.  I am a professional (fill in the blank)…

Do you define yourself by what you do, your accomplishments, the material possessions you have acquired?  Is it directly linked to your outwardly appearance?

Would you answer, “I am so-and-so's parent”? Or would your answer be: “I am an artist - poet - author - a person that helps others, I am a kind and loving soul, an expression of the Divine, a person that wants to make a positive difference to others”?

How we define ourselves says a lot about what we think of ourselves.  What we think about ourselves also shapes our attitudes and behaviors.  It can directly affect not only the way that we communicate with others, but how we see others and the world.

What does your current consciousness tell you about your world and how you fit into it? Does it tell you that you are better than others or maybe less than others? Do you believe that you have enough or is your belief that you need to get more and have more to be happy?

Part of being awake in this world is to figure out just who we are.  This isn't always an easy job.  Many of us don't know exactly who we are and what we really want.   We might have lost touch with that artist, poet or kind person we used to be and don't know how to find ourselves again. We may have allowed someone else to stifle that creative side of us.  We might have put our true self away to please another or fit in.

This week ask yourself... Who am I?

What place do I fill that nobody else can fill?

What do I like to do?

What really makes me happy?

You'll be surprised at the answers you come up with if you give it some serious thought.
