http://www.sfpnn.com/Submission%20Guidelines.htm

Or go to www.sfpnn.com and click on the Submission Guidelines button!

I’m looking forward to your jokes, stories and articles!   J

I’m also looking forward to this weekend and hope you are too!

It’s so important to take down time to refresh ourselves and rejuvenate our spirit.  Play time energizes us, invokes our creativity, helps feel better about ourselves and our world, and hey, it’s just plain fun!

So often we force ourselves to keep going and to continue working on our problems long after we’ve exhausted ourselves.  The irony is that if we allow ourselves to temporarily step away and have a little refresher to just play and nurture our spirit, the answer to our problems will come without even thinking about it.

So have some fun this weekend!  And know whatever is on your mind, God is working on it for you!   Trust the solution to come while you’re relaxing and enjoying life.  And have a really GREAT weekend!

With Peace, Love, Happiness, Health, and Prosperity…

Rev. Jeanette

ANGELS AS EXPLAINED BY KIDS:

I only know the names of two angels. Hark and Harold.
 — Gregory, 5

Everybody's got it all wrong. Angels don't wear halos anymore. I forget why, but scientists are working on it.
— Olive, 9

It's not easy to become an angel! First, you die. Then you go to heaven; then there's still the flight training to go through. And then you got to agree to wear those angel clothes.
— Matthew, 9

Angels work for God and watch over kids when God has to go do something else.
— Mitchell, 7

My guardian angel helps me with math, but he's not much good for science.
— Henry, 8

Angels don't eat, but they drink milk from holy cows.
— Jack, 6

Angels talk all the way while they're flying you up to heaven. The basic message is where you went wrong before you got dead.
— Daniel, 9

When an angel gets mad, he takes a deep breath and counts to ten.  And when he lets out his breath, somewhere there's a tornado.
— Reagan, 10

Angels have a lot to do and they keep very busy. If you lose a tooth, an angel comes in through your window and leaves money under your pillow. Then when it gets cold, angels go north for the winter.
— Sara, 6

Angels live in cloud houses made by God and his son, who's a very good carpenter.
Jared , 8

All angels are girls because they gotta wear dresses, and boys didn't go for it.
— Antonio, 9

What I don't get about angels is why, when someone is in love, they shoot arrows at them.
— Sarah, 7

Some of the angels are in charge of helping heal sick animals and pets. And if they don't make the animals get better, they help the kid get over it.
— Vicki, 8

My angel is my grandma who died last year. She got a big head start on helping me while she was still down here on earth.
Katelynn, 9

A NOTE From the Editor:  I just loved this compilation of angels explained by kids.  Besides being funny, it’s a great invitation for us to think about our own notions of angels… who and what they are, what purpose they serve, and how they help us in our every day lives.

An interesting side note here is that angels send us various signs to let us know they are close by.  One of those signs is the number 4.  Since I got certified as an Angel Therapy Practitioner® last April the numbers 44 and 444 come up for me all the time! (It means I’m surrounded by angels!)

When I was cleaning up the original version of Angels Explained by Kids to get rid of all the lines preceded by “>>>” I did a Find and Replace command.  Can you guess how many instances were found?  Yep, 44!   J

4.      For A Good Laugh, Check Out Tom R. Oh!

It started so simple, so innocently… Tom fulfilled a promise to write the stories he said he would tell. A man, two dogs and a forlorn tree… Who could have known it would turn into the intriguing series known as "The Christmas Tree Chronicles." Don't be fooled by the name, these twisted tales take you year round!

It doesn't stop there, though. Tom R. Oh is one of SFPNN's most prolific writers with a style uniquely his own and several mini series in the making.

5.      Kindness Suggestion

ALL IS WELL – LET GO
Thanks to Ellie Braun-Haley and Rev. Darlene

A friend of mine who is also a minister just sent me some lovely calming thoughts…

When the negatives of life crowd in and we feel overwhelmed or helpless, there is always something we can do.

Darlene says:

"People still have to decide to act by the will of God or by their own lustful interests. God created this world for the Soul to have experience and with that we have free will and choice.

We live as examples of how to be in accord with the will of God and in that, hope that some might follow.

All is well. Let go."

Now those are dearly calming thoughts. It is so wonderful that we can reach out and help one another!

Have a great day!

Love and hugs, Ellie

A NOTE From the Editor:  I was really moved by this piece from Ellie because I recently had a first hand experience of this lesson.

Wednesday night, we attended a seminar by a very talented author, speaker and businessman who has had great success.  At the end of his seminar, he did what great marketing and business people do… sold his products and services.

While my husband was standing in line to thank him for a wonderful presentation, the speaker was approached by a woman who asked if he would give her his $797 seminar package for free.  He smiled, shook his head no, and waved her off while he greeted other people in line.  But the woman persisted that it was for her son and asked again if she could have it for free.  He jokingly said no because she’d just spend the extra money on his Christmas presents and continued to talk to others who were in line to meet him.

The woman was furious and began to slander him, saying he’d said things he had not and vowed to tell everyone she could how rude he was to her.  Standing in line for the rest rooms, she must have told at least twenty people.  As the seminar was based around the Law of Attraction, I smiled and as friendly as I could, told her to be careful of what she was sending out because it would come back to her, then continued to converse with others who had enjoyed the evening.

I have to admit, my own ego was activated by her presence and her thrust to overpower everyone there with her story.  Thoughts raced through my mind in judgment about her, as well as pointing out lessons I could learn from it.  It was very tempting to reveal the truth of what had happened which would have made her look very bad, and also to teach (i.e. preach) her a thing or two about what she was doing “wrong.”  (I’m sure we’ve all met people who have triggered this in us!)

Recognizing this was coming from ego energy I chose not to engage.  As Ellie’s friend Darlene said:

People still have to decide to act by the will of God or by their own lustful interests… We live as examples of how to be in accord with the will of God and in that, hope that some might follow… All is well. Let go."

In letting go, I was able to connect with a very nice woman behind me and raise my energy to a higher frequency again.  I laughed, I joked, and I had fun with the others around me, including a friend who motioned to “get over it!” as taught in the seminar.

In other words, All is well.  Let go!

6.      TAKE THE SFPNN KINDNESS CHALLENGE!

Living through the words of Gandhi, we must be the change we want to see in the world.  We must also acknowledge those who are in the act of creating those changes.   Therefore, we have two challenges for you.

Kindness Challenge # 1:  Do something kind today and every day.   It doesn’t have to be of earth-shattering proportions to make a positive difference.  Simply saying “Thank You” or letting someone know they’re appreciated can have a tremendous impact.   Find little ways to be kind and to make our world a kinder place.  And feel free to tell us about your kind act!

E-mail: “KINDNESS

Kindness Challenge # 2:  Share something kind someone has done for you!   People are kind to us in a myriad of ways on a daily basis.  But we often overlook their kindness.  Become aware of acts of kindness and acknowledge the person performing them.  Then share their kind gesture with SFPNN.

E-mail: “KINDNESS

7.      Moments of Joy — From Joy Hart

This little song came as a reminder came to me one morning.

make friends

Make friends with what’s in front of you.
That’s the most important thing to do.
Whatever you see is what you’ve created;
Find something in it that you like.
And if you don’t like what you’re seeing,
Take a tip from me,
Turn your head in another direction,
And see what you want to be.
If you look, you can’t fail;
There’s infinite possibility.

Later on that same day, this one emerged.

play in possibility

You gotta let yourself play in possibility;
It’s the only way you can be free.
Free of every limitation
That you thought was there.
Free to explore something brand new
That never existed before for you;
Free to be more of who you came here to be
With no interference from you.
