Howdy Folks and Good Day!
There’s been a lot of talk about the movie (and book) of The Secret. And for good reason… Namely because it works!
If you haven’t practiced creating your life in faith it may sound a bit hokey at first. But if you try out the principles of the Law of Attraction, you’ll find it works. We’ve all heard “thoughts are things” and that “the universe mirrors back to us what we believe on the inside.” But how often do we apply it in our lives?
That’s kind of a trick question because we apply the Law of Attraction all the time! We just don’t realize we’re doing it. The important part is to consciously be aware of our thoughts and focus on what we truly desire.
My husband and I had a great day yesterday, and it’s a perfect example of how the Law of Attraction works.
Mark was exhausted and slept in a little too late to make it to our friend’s church. Sunday is our Sacred Day when we intend to connect with God and each other. So we discussed ways we’d like to do that and our decided agenda was to have a leisurely Sunday breakfast out, go to the beach, do some (spiritual) reading and then head home.
I told Mark I was craving strawberry Belgian waffles but would be happy to go to the Mexican restaurant for their brunch buffet instead knowing he really enjoys it. When we arrived at El Torito, guess what they had on the Mexican buffet? Strawberry Belgian waffles!
Our server was absolutely delightful and we really connected to him. So we had to giggle when we saw his name tag… it read, “Dio.” In Spanish, Dio means God! Didn’t we say we wanted to connect with God? ;-)
After brunch, we drove to the beach and had a wonderful walk during low tide. We sat in the warm sand and listened to the gentle lap of waves. The water was the calmest we’d seen it and it literally mirrored the clouds above. It was enchanting. We chatted about wanting to see some sea lions, dolphins or whales, and jokingly called out, “Show us some fin! Or tail! Or even a head!” And out of the water pops a little sea lion head!
We decided to walk back to the car to do some reading and
conspired that we’d love to see a whale.
I had only gotten a page into my reading when the couple parked next to
us shouted, “There’s a whale!” And sure
enough, there was! In the 3 ½ years we’ve
lived in
We watched for almost an hour as the whale migrated north and other sea lions bobbed up and down the coast. Then we retreated back into the car, finished reading, and drove home.
We had an absolutely wonderful day and manifested everything we hoped for.
God is in the details within each and every one of us—whether or not we’re named Dio, (short for Dionisis). When we connect to others in a spirit of friendship and love, when we connect with our inner self and tranquility, when we connect with nature, and with our heart’s truest desires, we are connecting with God and living a Sacred Life. The world itself can be our church. Even if we sleep a little late on Sundays.

IF GOD COULD TELL YOU
IT WOULD BE, “I LOVE YOU.”
Are you tuned in to Divine Guidance? When you pray, do you listen for answers? Do you recognize when God is trying to get your attention?
If God could tell you just one thing, it would be, “I LOVE YOU.”
Those who hear Divine Guidance are given this message over and over. Not only for themselves, but for others they help on a personal and professional level. It’s a simple message, yet profound. These three words are common, yet incredibly powerful. And hearing them come from God can change your life.
We all want to be loved. We want to be accepted for who we are. We want to know we’re good enough. We spend a great deal of time and energy throughout our lives trying to receive this love and acceptance, and acknowledgment of our worthiness. Yet it is already ours.
If you sat down to have a conversation with God, and He could tell you just one thing, it would be “I LOVE YOU.”
He wouldn’t chide you for not making straight A’s in high school (or even B’s and C’s.) He wouldn’t criticize you because you put on a few pounds in the past year. He wouldn’t care if your hair wasn’t parted perfectly straight or that your teeth might be a little crooked. God wouldn’t condemn you for cutting off someone in traffic, knowingly or unknowingly. He wouldn’t waste His time or yours bringing up all the mistakes in the past. Nope. None of that stuff would matter. God would only want to tell you one thing…
“I LOVE YOU.”
Not only would He want to tell you, but He would want you to experience His Love in every cell of your being.
You see, God tells us He loves us all the time but we
block it out with our ego, doubts, fears and societal conditioning that we’re
not good enough. The truth is we
God simply loves us. All we need do is accept His Love.
The funny thing is when we accept God’s love for us, we begin to accept our own love of Self without feeling guilty or falsely conceited. Because Love is merely God’s energy flowing through us. We can direct it to ourselves at any given moment.
When we accept God’s love and our own love for our Self, we more easily accept the Love others willingly and freely give to us all the time. We realize the love and acceptance we’ve been seeking has always been there; it was merely up to us to receive it and believe it.
So open up. Receive it. Believe it. Know it in your heart.
If God could tell you just one thing, it would be, “I LOVE YOU.”
