ˇˇˇˇ ATTENTION ALL CAT AND DOG OWNERS !!!! 

If you haven’t heard about it yet, there’s a massive recall on 40 different brands of canned, pouched and other varieties of pet food!  Some of the recalled items have already caused severe illness including kidney failure and others have been recalled as a precaution.  In either case, better safe than sorry! 

Having lost our Misty Kitty to kidney failure, I immediately checked the list and was shocked to discover all three brands of pet food we buy for our kitties were manufactured by the same packaging company even though the brands we buy are fierce competitors in the industry! 

For the health of your fur babies, please check the following to see if you have any of the affected products.  Some of the companies will actually send you a refund or vouchers for non-affected replacement cans.  Policies vary by brand.

Also please put Tippy’s son, Rusty in your prayers.

Rusty had a disabling stroke in 2001 which left him with seizures that are becoming more frequent and severe.  During his last MRI they detected a "lesion" in his brain.  Please send him love and healing energy as he goes through additional testing and possible surgery.

One of the most important things to remember about creating and living a positive life is not every day and every thing is going to seem positive!

Life in all its glory—and all its woes—happens to each and every one of us!

Some days we feel on top of the world and nothing can bring us down.  Other days opening a jar of peanut butter seems impossible and overwhelming.  It’s what we do in response to life that makes all the difference.

When we remember to not just think positive thoughts, but BELIEVE in positive outcomes, we actually strengthen our body’s energy field, increase our immune system and boost the mind’s ability to find positive outcomes.

Yet when we think and believe in the worst, we literally weaken the body’s energy field.  (Even picking up that jar of peanut butter can seem like too much!)  We also drain our immune system’s defenses, and disempower our mind’s ability to think clearly.

If we can pay attention to our thoughts and stop them at the first sign of lower fear-based or ego-thinking we have a much greater chance at overcoming the day’s obstacles.  But if we allow that one negative thought to spiral and keep picking up negativity and speed, it’s like trying to stop an avalanche instead of a snow ball!

On the flip side, if we can add to our positive thoughts and beliefs, and keep building on them, we just keep adding strength, energy, creativity, and clarity.  We become an open channel for the Divine to flow through and we can handle pretty much anything life throws at us.  Ironically, when we keep ourselves “up” or positive, we tend to attract more of the glory and less of the woe!

Tune into your thinking today (and everyday) and turn up those positive thoughts!

GET CENTERED. 
CHECK IN.
TAKE ACTION.

Do you move through your day one thing after another, feeling like you don’t have time to breathe?  Are you always on the go, never taking time for you?  Are you ready to stop the chaos – or at least slow it down a bit?

Get centered.  Check in.  Take action.

If you get through the day with sugar, caffeine, energy bars and drinks, or are simply in “get-it-done” mode all the time, you might want to consider the following…

Many of us have become addicted to adrenaline.  We’re under such stress to get everything on our to-do lists done and accomplish it all that our bodies actually become stuck in fight or flight response.  In addition to the instant energy boost, it also creates more of a stress sensation, tightens all the muscles and then begins to actually drain the body’s energy instead of creating it.  This also releases chemicals into our bodies, which if not released properly, can later create sensations of pain.

Even if we can’t change our schedules, we can at least change how we approach the day.

First and foremost we can get centered. 

A very simple yet powerful way of doing this is to slow down and deepen our breathing, then place our hands together palm to palm (in prayer position) touching our heart center with our thumbs for at least two minutes.  While doing so we can use an affirmation with our breath such as, “Slow down… Relax…” We can also address ourselves by name, focusing on the heart center, and saying, “I send you love.”

Once we feel calm and centered, it’s time to check in.  (It’s important to get centered before checking in so we can actually focus and not let the mind run all over us!)  While maintaining slow deep breaths and the prayer position, we can ask ourselves questions such as:

“What am I stressed about?  How can I release this?”

“What is my objective…for the day…for this hour... for the next few minutes?” 

“What action do I need to take next?”  

Calmly allow the mind’s Higher Self to answer and take note of the guidance received. 

If a sensation of stress begins, center yourself again and start over.

Once centered and focused on the next step to take, it’s time to take action.

Now when we act, we are working from a place of calm centeredness and clarity.  We have Divine Guidance flowing through to energize us instead of relying on chemicals and adrenaline.  

The world will feel less hectic and even like it may have slowed down a bit.  The irony is we will most likely accomplish more in our relaxed state because we’ll have clearer focus and will be less distracted.  And anytime we have God flowing through us, things just move!

Repeat this process between everything on your to-do list, and when switching from one task to another.  Also use it every time you feel your heart and mind start to race, or whenever you’re feeling overwhelmed.  It’s amazingly simply yet powerfully effective!

Get centered.  Check in.  Take action.
