In a hurry? Click for direct
links to your favorite SFPNN Featured Authors
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Doh! Friday the 13th must be having
some fun with us! The first time I
decide to do a “tour” letting you know all the convenient features of our
newsletter, I somehow messed up all the links on the bottom of the issue! Ouey Vey! Here is an
updated version with working links. (At
least they worked when I tried them! Ha, ha, ha!)
Special thanks to Mark for letting me know about our Friday the 13th mix up!
Howdy Folks and Good Day!
I’d like to point out a few features of SFPNN that might get overlooked because
they’re part of our daily issues. I know
from experience anything in our line of sight which is always there we tend to
stop seeing… It’s like the baseboards and walls of our homes. We just know they’re there, we might even
appreciate them being there, but we don’t really notice them after a
while.
So please join me for a quick tour of your daily issues of SFPNN…
At the very top of every issue, even before the greeting is a link listing that
day’s featured authors as well as their links in chronological order. If you’re in a hurry and don’t have time to
read the entire issue, click the In A
Hurry link, click on your favorite author, and it will take you
right to their SFPNN Featured Author page on our website where their latest
article will be posted.
If you haven’t visited our authors’ online Featured Pages I highly recommend doing it. We post all of their stories and archive them back to 1999. Plus, you’ll get to see their photo, learn a little bit more about who they are and find their e-mail address as well as favorite quotes and links to their professional webpages if applicable.
If you want to find SFPNN’s homepage, there’s always a link immediately after
my signature.
If you’re interested in any of the healing work I do and would like to find out
more, please use the links (following the homepage) after my signature. The money made from my Angel Therapy® Reiki,
and Theta practices helps fund SFPNN and keep it free for all of our readers.
After all the links, you’ll notice the invitation to share today’s issue of
SFPNN with others. If something speaks
to you in one of our issues, we’d greatly appreciate it if you’d help get the
message “out there.” If you don’t want
to send the whole issue, feel free to copy and paste your favorite part, but
please do include author copyrights and either a link to www.sfpnn.com or copy and paste the
subscription info so they can sign up if they’re interested.
You’ll notice the very first feature after SFPNN Heading and today's date is
always the affirmation. (Unless we have birthday
announcements!)
In addition to reading that day’s affirmation, please take a few moments to use the fill-in-blank section, even if it’s only to state what you want silently within your mind. If you can jot it down on a Post-it or piece of paper, or even somewhere on your computer, all the better! Keeping a notebook of just your daily affirmations can be really empowering!
This blank affirmation is for YOUR use! It’s been my experience that when we declare what we’d like for that day, it very often comes true! I’ve had many readers write to say their lives started to have more positive results after using the daily affirmation so please do yourself a favor and fill in the blanks! :)
Every time we quote something out of a book, I try to include a hyperlink
directly to that book on Amazon. This makes
it easy and convenient for you to find material you relate to. And for every
item purchased through these links, we earn a few pennies commission. There’s no additional cost to you, but our
hope is these affiliate links will help cover SFPNN’s expenses. And as I said
before, we want to keep SFPNN free for YOU, our readers.
You may have noticed some of our columns such as the Kindness Suggestion, Good
News, and Soul Magic have their own sections asking you to submit your ideas
and experiences. In all honesty, we
welcome your submissions and try to post as many of them as possible! When you see these invitations, please read
them, and if appropriate, submit YOUR story or Good News. :)
You can also visit http://www.sfpnn.com/Submission%20Guidelines.htm for a full list of stories we’re looking for and guidelines for submission. (Following the guidelines helps ensure your story is run for the column you intended.)
In EVERY issue of SFPNN, you will be given the opportunity to make a big
difference in our world by taking a tiny action...
Simply click.
There are links for the Hunger Site, Animal Rescue Site, Breast Cancer Site and others. Folks, I urge you, please use these links on a regular basis. It doesn’t cost anything but a moment of your time.
In literally under a minute (two if you’ve got dial up) you can help six different worthwhile causes and actually contribute to saving lives! Please be the change you want to see in the world! These are legitimate organizations but they need our support. All we have to do is click to make a difference. It’s that easy. We all say we want the world to be a better place – it doesn’t get much easier than this to improve it.
Toward the bottom of every issue, you’ll also find the “For More Positivity”
link which features other positive websites.
If you’ve got a favorite website you’d like to see added, please send me
a note with the link including a brief description of the site, and put “To Add
to the MORE POSITIVITY links” in the subject line.
Finally, you’ll find the Subscription information section. This includes information on how to sign up
for SFPNN (and Sir Froggie’s Pondering with the
cartoon.) It also gives a generic
description of how to unsubscribe or change your subscription.
If you’re already an existing subscriber, you’ll notice there’s a tagline from SFPNN at the very bottom of every issue. I recommend using that link to change or unsubscribe because it is personalized for YOU and you won’t have to go through as many steps to change things.
If you want to forward an issue of SFPNN to your friends, family, co-workers, etc., please be sure to include the generic Subscription information as we are required to include this under the “can spam” laws. You may, however, delete your personal link so they’re not accessing your subscription info.
I hope you enjoyed this tour of your daily issues of SFPNN and that you might
discover something helpful you hadn’t noticed before!
All of our authors, including me, do our best to bring you positive, inspiring
and uplifting material in a way that’s convenient and easy for you to use. We respect your time and energy and know your
choice of reading material is virtually unlimited. We are honored you choose to spend your time
with us and hope every issue will feel like a blessing.
With Peace, Love, Happiness, Health, and Prosperity…
Rev. Jeanette

Humor:
Thanks to Chuck S.
On the first day, God created the dog and said:
"Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who
comes in or walks past. For this, I will give you a life span of twenty
years."
The dog said: "That's a long time to be barking. How about only ten
years and I'll give you back the other ten?"
So God agreed.
On the second day, God created the monkey and said: "Entertain
people, do tricks, and make them laugh. For this, I'll give you a twenty-year
life span."
The monkey said: "Monkey tricks for twenty years? That's a pretty
long time to perform. How about I give you back ten like the dog did?"
And God agreed.
On the third day, God created the cow and said: "You must go into
the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves,
and give milk to support the farmer's family. For this, I will give you a life
span of sixty years."
The cow said: "That's kind of a tough life you want me to live for
sixty years. How about twenty and I'll give back the other
forty?"
And God agreed again.
On the fourth day, God created man and said: "Eat, sleep, play,
marry and enjoy your life. For this, I'll give you twenty years."
But man said: "Only twenty years? Could you possibly give me my
twenty, the forty the cow gave back, the ten the monkey gave back, and the ten
the dog gave back; that makes eighty, okay?"
"Okay," said God, "You asked for it."
So that is why the first twenty years we eat, sleep, play and enjoy
ourselves. For the next forty years we slave in the sun to support our family.
For the next ten years, we do monkey tricks to entertain the grandchildren. And
for the last ten years, we sit on the front porch and bark at everyone.
Life has now been explained to you.

For
A Good Laugh, Check Out
It started so simple, so
innocently… Tom fulfilled a promise to write the stories he said he would tell.
A man, two dogs and a forlorn tree… Who could have known it would turn into the
intriguing series known as "The Christmas Tree Chronicles." Don't be
fooled by the name, these twisted tales take you year round!
It doesn't stop there,
though.

Kindness Suggestion
CREATE A WORTHWHILE RIPPLE
Thanks to Ellie Braun-Haley
May your day be filled with the goodness of others.
May you start a worthwhile ripple each day through your own goodness, through your own smile, through your own thoughtfulness.
Then realize this smile, this act of thoughtfulness, this warmth you are presently sharing, will circulate and circulate from person to person.
May all your ripples be positive and wholesome.
Hugs and smiles,
Ellie Braun-Haley

TAKE THE
SFPNN KINDNESS CHALLENGE!
Living through the words of Gandhi, we must be the change we want to see in the world. We must also acknowledge those who are in the act of creating those changes. Therefore, we have two challenges for you.
Kindness Challenge # 1: Do something kind today and every day. It doesn’t have to be of earth-shattering proportions to make a positive difference. Simply saying “Thank You” or letting someone know they’re appreciated can have a tremendous impact. Find little ways to be kind and to make our world a kinder place. And feel free to tell us about your kind act!
E-mail: “KINDNESS”
Kindness Challenge # 2: Share something kind someone has done for you! People are kind to us in a myriad of ways on a daily basis. But we often overlook their kindness. Become aware of acts of kindness and acknowledge the person performing them. Then share their kind gesture with SFPNN.
E-mail: “KINDNESS”

Moments of Joy — From
Inspired
as I was reading a book about angels entitled “Natives of Eternity,” by Flower
A. Newhouse, in which they are referred to as Willing
Servers, this song came to me.
willing servers
Willing
Servers are all around us,
Waiting for us to call.
All we need do is accept their help;
That’s what they came here for.
Their only purpose
Is to make a contribution,
Coincident’ly, so is ours.
Wherever we are, we can find a way
To make a diff’rence today.
And make a moment shine
Like it wouldn’t have,
If we hadn’t been alive.
Make a moment shine
Like it wouldn’t have
If you hadn’t been alive.
