Howdy Folks and Good Day!
I’d like to personally say THANK YOU to everyone who wrote in to show their
appreciation for the “angel of joy” e-card sent to each of you on Monday.
I’ve been so blessed in my life to have my own “angels of joy” (many of whom are SFPNNers) show up or drop me a message just when I’ve needed it most. My hope was that Monday’s e-card would do the same for you. And it looks like “Mission Accomplished!” YEAH! J
So much stuff can happen in our world… personally, professionally, and in all areas of life. Some of it is trivial, some of it monumental, some even unfathomable. Regardless of what “it” is, we all need a pick-me-up now and then.
What we may not realize is how simple it can be to provide that “pick-me-up” to ourselves and others.
Sometimes all it takes is a smile!
Or a few kind words.
A funny joke. (Or even a real groaner.)
A Hug.
Encouragement.
A flower.
A balloon.
Sharing some chocolate or another treat.
Saying, “I love you” or “I care about you.”
Letting someone know they make a difference.
Leaving a surprise gift.
Treating someone to lunch.
Bringing their favorite coffee or tea.
Giving an unexpected photo.
Lending an ear.
Making and sharing home-made cookies.
Showing you believe.
Pointing out their positive attributes.
Assuring it will be OK.
And of course, an e-card or a little angel is always nice.
The point is every one of us has it within ourselves to bring Light into the darkness…whether that darkness exists within ourselves, someone else, or our planet. We are all a spark of God’s Divine Love and Light. There are no exceptions. It’s up to us to claim that Light within and let it shine outward.
I know there are days when it seems nearly impossible. After all, we are but one little light and the whole world can present the illusion of appearing dark. Think of it like this…
If you light one candle in the corner of the room, it will throw a good amount of light into that corner, and spread out about half way across the room. Yet, you could use that candle to light another candle, and place the other candle on the opposite side of the room. Between the two, the entire room is lit. But it doesn’t stop there. Each of those candles can be the source for lighting additional candles, and those additional candles can light even more candles. Pretty soon there are enough candles for every room in the house. Or in our case, the world.

NEWS FROM TIPPY – ANSWERED PRAYERS!
You may recall a while back I asked everyone to extend their prayers for Tippy’s son Rusty who was suffering from seizures due to a disabling stroke several years ago. I just received this update from Tippy yesterday afternoon. She says:
Rusty's condition continues to improve with the
numerous additions and/or changes in his medications. He spoke with his neurologist this morning
and will return to the neurosurgeon as he deems necessary.
I feel as though a
monstrous weight has been lifted from my mind and body and truly feel this is
the result of the many Prayers offered in his behalf. What an awesome God we have the privilege of
serving! I will let you know if the
situation changes.

I'm starting to get
some recognition of my work, and it is greatly appreciated. I have sent more photos to AAHS and they plan
to use at least one for a cover of their wonderful Journal, plus build a story
around some of my Beechcraft photos!

Twenty years ago, yesterday, Mark and I had our first “official” date, going to his Senior Prom. We’ve been together ever since and actually celebrated our 15th Wedding Anniversary in February.

It has been applauded by kindergarten teachers and by parents of children aged 3 to 10 years. The Casey book will be a wonderful tool for staff of both Day Care Centres and Family Day Homes. And if you are a student studying Early Childhood this is a must need to add to your reading list.

This book, filled with ideas for children to explore their world, was designed
for anyone who has a young child or works with young children and wants a new
way to interact with them.
Kindergarten teachers and parents of young children up to the age of ten will
marvel at the easy way the book is laid out and overflowing with movement rhymes
and songs. There are also ideas to stimulate children to create dances. Staff
at Day Care Centres and Family Day Home personnel
will want more than one copy of the Muttering Moths book. And College students
if you are in Early Childhood studies get a copy. Take note this book is
already suggested reading by a number of Colleges. Muttering

Mark and I did the 3-day Intensive with my Mom and Dad. I have to admit I was more than skeptical and a bit reluctant to go. I figured I knew everything I needed to know. I discovered I did know a lot, but I had a lot more to learn. I also discovered things which were blocking me, and had the incredible experience of seeing my parents unblock issues which had plagued them through-out my life-time of knowing them! It was an amazing experience.

HAPPINESS
"Put
your ear down close to your soul and listen hard." — Anne Sexton
I've asked some important
questions these last few weeks such as “Who are you?” “What do you really want?” Now I am asking, "What makes you
happy?"
What percentage of the time do
you consider yourself happy? Is it most of the time, sometimes or rarely? Only
you can answer that.
I've always heard that
happiness is an inside job. It is
entirely up to me to make me happy. I
think it also is up to me to determine exactly what brings me happiness.
Does your happiness come from
other people, places of from having things? When I base my happiness on
external things or situations, it usually doesn't last long.
When I am true to myself and listen to my heart and soul, I find happiness in such simple pleasures.
Most days finding reasons to be happy isn't an issue. Sometimes for no
apparent reason I find I am happy.
Oddly, when I am happy my entire perception of the world is one of
happiness and pleasure.
What does your soul tell you brings you happiness? Do you listen to your soul when it
speaks to you? Do you recognize when your soul is telling you something?
Next time you are feeling happy and joyous notice what you are doing or why you are happy. It might surprise you, once you start to notice, exactly how much time you spend being happy or not being happy. The choice is up to you.
