Around
How many defining moments have you had in your life?
Some of them could be events: a wedding, a divorce, the loss
of a dear friend or the birth of a child.
Others could be decisions you made: a job you took or left,
a new career, a new house, a move to another part of the country--or a
different one.
It might be one of the times you got sick and tired of being
sick and tired. You'd had it. You said, "enough
is enough" and you said no to overeating, smoking, alcohol or something
else.
Those can be monumental decisions with life-long ramifications.
Or maybe it was one of those big ahas--a
profound blinding flash of awareness that redirected your life.
I think it's a good idea to make a list of your defining
moments and place it in your journal.
They're good things to reflect upon and talk about with
others.
What are YOUR defining moments?
Have you had a day that turned your life around? What was
the difference it made in your life and the lives of those around you?
What will become a defining moment in your life?
Every day is a new day. This could be the day.
It's something to think about.

DARE TO BE YOU!
Do you know who you really are? Are you authentic to your Self? Do you have the courage to outwardly express who you are on the inside?
Dare to be YOU!
So often we’re taught to conform to the rules and others’ expectations of us. We have magazines, TV shows, books, and even schools which teach us how we should think, walk, and talk. We have dress codes and uniforms so everyone looks alike. We have fashion experts, beauty experts and behavior experts all telling us who we should be.
But how can they?
No one but ourselves lives inside of us.
We are the only ones who can know what is truly right for us. This requires drowning out the external voices and tuning into the voice of Self and our higher power.
When we listen to our heart and soul we are guided in so many ways. Everything from how to cut our hair to what job is best for us to who to marry must come from within and from God… and not society’s rules about God, but who we experience God as for ourselves.
When we check in with ourselves we know what is right and wrong for us. We know what is healthy and what is not. Our bodies are human barometers and send us signals all the time. We need only pay attention to hear them.
When we do follow our own infinite wisdom, we live life with joy because we are being true to ourselves. We put love and our health first. We know how to set boundaries and how to reach beyond our comfort zone. We follow our passion and reach for our dreams.
Every time we dare to live fully as our Self we inspire others and give them permission to be their true Selves!
They say “teach by example” and how we treat ourselves is no exception. If we want others to respect who we are and our heart’s truest desires, we must do so ourselves. This can require faith, courage, and taking the chance of being laughed at or ridiculed at times. Even so, when we step out fully as ourselves, most people will admire us instead of degrade us. Those who do belittle us have no right defining who we are. We on the other hand, are required to define ourselves and we must do so honestly through the eyes of Divine Love. It’s OK if we change our self definition as we go, as long as that definition comes from within and from our higher power.
It’s time to live all out as your number one fan…
