Howdy Folks and Good Day!
It’s graduation time again and as students and their families prepare for the “big
day” it gives us all a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our life and personal
“graduations.”
When I graduated from tech school (a long time ago) I thought I was done learning but the real learning was just beginning! Some out of necessity, some out of a calling to learn better, know better, do better and ultimately feel better. And that’s what I’ve done. I’ve learned how to become a better person. I’ve learned new talents and skills. I’ve learned how to incorporate spirituality and continued personal growth into everyday real life. And I’ve come to realize we never stop learning because life never stops changing!
Just as we never stop learning, we also continue to graduate from one level to another. We might not have formal ceremonies, but we do continue to move through life’s various courses and levels. Sometimes it’s quite noticeable… like getting married, having children, or the loss of a parent of loved one. All these things graduate our souls to higher levels of living and learning things like love and compassion.
Other times, the graduations are more subtle… We decide to stop putting junk food, soda, excess alcohol, cigarette smoke or caffeine into our bodies. We realize we are no longer interested in the friendship with the person who gossips and talks negatively all the time. We find ourselves feeling more compassion and empathy for others. We stop feeling angry and resentful, or like helpless victims, and stand in our own internal power and in the power of forgiveness and making better choices.
There are a lot of little signs which signal our growth and graduation to the “next level.” And just like the current high school and college grads, these graduations signal new beginnings, new hopes, new dreams, and a new way of being in the world as we try to make our way through it.
The best part is that Life continues to be one great big celebration if we choose to make it so! Come celebrate with me!
And congratulations to all the grads!
With Peace, Love, Happiness, Health, and Prosperity…

UPDATE ON
EXPECTANT DOLPHIN, CASTAWAY
From Marine Mammal Conservancy
Our soon to be dolphin mama and her calf have yet to meet
face to face, but both are doing just fine. Castaway's appetite is healthy, her
response to caregivers is willing and she appears to be very comfortable in her
surroundings. During our very brief medical exam this morning, she was calm,
unconcerned and cooperative - behavior that shows up more and more as her
training progresses. The ease of examination for medical procedures is very
important in order to reduce the risk of stress on the animal.
It has been a quiet couple of weeks for Castaway, although
preparations at the
At this time, little is known about the ‘Offshore’ variety of Tursiops Truncatus. As an “ambassador” for this species, Castaway has captured much international attention. Her presence affords us a truly unique opportunity to record and study dolphin communication and acoustics, particularly due to her pregnant and hearing-impaired condition. A dolphin calf learns the skills it needs to survive from its mother and other members of its pod. Much may be learned from Castaway’s ability to successfully adapt to her impairment, bear, care for and teach her calf. Marine mammal industry personnel around the world are focusing on this very special dolphin in our care.

Is it real? Judge for yourself!
Hypnotherapists are taught how to
conduct Past Life Regressions not because they advocate it is real, but rather
because some very real healings have occurred from visiting a past life when no
other method, whether physical (doctors) or mental (general hypnotherapy),
worked!
Whether or not it is imaginary, Past Life Regressions serve
a very real purpose and people heal upon experiencing them. Those results could not be overlooked.
During a past-life regression you consciously know you are
here in the current time and space, but a part of your mind becomes awakened as
it recalls memories from a past life by being induced into slower brain waves
(hypnosis). You will see your past life
experience just like you "see" any memories you consciously
remember.
Some hypnotherapists charge
hundreds of dollars for past life regressions, however you get to experience
this in a group setting at a fraction of the cost.

NRDC
& AMERICANS SPEAK OUT FOR WOLVES
Over the past 60 days you've given wolves a fighting chance against
the Bush Administration's proposal to strip them of their Endangered Species
protection, leaving them vulnerable to mass killing.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service estimates
that more than 200,000 citizens registered their opposition to a dangerous plan
that could doom up to one half of the wolves in Greater Yellowstone.
I'm proud to report that NRDC Action Fund supporters generated
137,000 of those 200,000 comments!
Thanks to your support, we also made sure that concerned citizens
turned out in force at public hearings across the
And the outcry we raised was bolstered by more than 250 scientists,
who expressed their own opposition to the Bush Administration’s proposal.
What's next? The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service will
review all the comments it has received and will make a decision in about six
months on whether or not
to maintain protection of the wolf under the Endangered Species Act.
Although the American people have spoken out loud and clear in favor of such protection, it is far from assured.
In the months ahead, we will be building even more public
pressure on the administration...bringing the plight of wolves to the attention
of the media... and making sure that scientific evidence in favor of protection
gets a full hearing.
We'll be counting on your support and activism at every step
of the way. Thank you again for making your voice heard during this critical
comment period for the wolves of Greater Yellowstone.
Sincerely,
Frances Beinecke
President, NRDC Action Fund
A
NOTE from the Editor: If you
have ever wished there was a way to make your voice heard and be counted in the
protection of wildlife and our earth’s most delicate natural resources, NRDC
(Natural Resource Defense Council) is a great organization. They do all the hard work, research and
lobbying, then send their members a link to a form e-mail. You merely enter your e-mail address to “sign”
the pre-written e-mail, hit send and it gets routed to the appropriate
people. It’s easy and it makes a big
difference. To learn more about NRDC,

Wednesday WORD — by Diane, The
MAKING AN IMPACT
"Everyone
—
Erica Jong
What do you consider your
talent to be? Are you having a hard time even naming your talent? Is it something you consider yourself as
being able to do well or that you are exceptional at?
It might be something others
notice in you that you can't recognize in yourself. Or that you take for granted because it comes
second nature to you.
Each and every one of us has talents which make the world a better place.
It doesn't have to be something
huge or monumental, it can be something as small as the ability to see the best
in your day and have a positive attitude which you share with everyone you come
into contact with.
Talents come in many forms. They
don’t have to be in artistic fields. Talent
can be the ability to talk to people or work with animals. It can be something we enjoy, and because we
enjoy doing it, we do it well. It doesn't
have to be something that’s taken years to learn or that requires a formal
education to do.
I often get replies from people
regarding what I write or saying I am a talented writer. It has taken me years to see this in myself, but
others see it immediately. I don't have
an education in journalism, I just write from my heart and soul. I share my experience, strength and
hope. And in doing so, I help others.
Last week I received many
replies to the article on my reunion with my Father and how my story has
touched people. Several asked for
suggestions on how to mend their own relationships.
Getting these notes, I finally understood that I don't have to be rich and famous to make a difference and I don't have to touch masses of people!
If I can make a difference in
just one life, or if by my example lives can be changed, then it is clear to me
that each and every one of us can make an impact, making this a better
world. It becomes the trickle down
effect - one person at a time. And
before we know it, many have been touched and carry that on to others.
Look at your life, at your
talents, and know that by sharing with others you are making a difference, even
if it is just in your own house.
Don't discount yourself and
your talent. Make a list and revel in
your abilities. If there is something that interests you, do some research and
see if you are good at doing it. Say
thank you when others notice and compliment you. After all -- there is only one
YOU.
