Have you ever noticed that life sometimes gives us earthquakes to shake loose the weaker foundations so we can build a stronger one?  I sure have.  Especially the past month!

In fact, it was a 4.7 shaker if I recall correctly.  Not only did we experience an earthquake last month, but Mark got into a car crash, our plants got infested, our water heater started to leak, I ended up with heat stroke and then caught a virus and things were just generally whacky.

Wait a minute!  Isn’t this supposed to be a POSITIVE e-zine?  Why am I sharing all this “bad” stuff with you?

Well, that’s just it.  I could perceive it as bad, or I could perceive it as the Universe working on our behalf in mysterious ways.

The earthquake literally woke us up!  Its shockwave energy made me acutely aware of everything that was going on around me.  Because of its intensity, I was forced into nurturing myself and doing some much needed energy and clearing work.

Although Mark’s car was totaled, he’s OK!  And we were able to replace it with a newer and somewhat improved version.  The new car even has heated seats!  Mark’s Mom even sent us a “gift” out of the blue for a down payment so our car-loan payments would be less. J

The water heater only had a trivial leak. Because of the earthquake I began to check daily to make sure no damage had been done.  As a result, we caught the leak right away. And it was actually covered by our Home Warranty!  Plus it’s bigger and works much more efficiently.

The bug infestation led us to change out our garden beds and simplify the plant-scape on our balconies making everything much easier and low-maintenance.  I did have to cut back a petunia and it’s now growing better than ever.

The heat exhaustion hit as I was in the middle of photography gig for an air show and landed me face first on the floor.  I woke up on a stretcher, with a busted lip surrounded by paramedics and some of the other photographers.  The cool part is I got to meet the very same paramedics who worked on me four years ago when something similar happened.

The other photographers and folks at the air show didn’t hold it against me at all.  They were there for me and showed me how much they cared!  Instead of feeling embarrassed, I felt God’s love truly working through everyone there.  I thought I was there to bring God’s love to everyone else but I ended up being the one to receive it through so many good and decent people.  It truly was a blessing!

When I returned home from the air show, a good friend left a note on my fridge that said, “Welcome home.  We missed you.” And my husband was exceptionally loving and kind.  It felt really good.

As a result of all the insanity and being in survival mode for the past month, my body and mind forced me to take a good look at my daily routine and realize that I needed to care for myself first before I care for others.  Logically, I’ve KNOWN that all along, but I guess I got out of balance with how much I was giving to others verses giving to myself.

Of course, I would prefer NOT to go through the earthquakes, crashes, and wipe-outs to get the blessings.  I certainly don’t believe God caused these things to happen.  He just used them to work with me and through me to help me get where I needed to be.

And this morning, I wake up refreshed, renewed, and rejuvenated.  I can breathe again.

I’m in a new routine of self nurturing and giving myself the care I need.  I’ve been shook up, laid flat, and have experienced what might be considered a major clearing or healing crisis.  And you know what?  I love where I’m at!

I love LIFE!

I love my friends, family, and especially my hubby and kitties!

I love God!

And I even love me and who God is helping me to become!

If the earth beneath you has been quaking, ask God to show you the blessing He’s trying to give you!  Know that He’ll work through any situation to bring you what you need. There really is hope no matter what you’re going through.

So shake, rattle and roll and have a GREAT day!

With Peace, Love, Happiness, Health, and Prosperity…

Rev. Jeanette

Living On Purpose

By Rev. Scott Allen Russell

What is living on purpose?

The fundamental question first is what is our purpose?  Our purpose is to express God to the highest and fullest in all.  Our purpose simply is to complete the pattern of the Universe.

We all come here with our unique gifts and talents; whether that’s painting a picture; or coaching a little league pitcher.  Caring for the sick and needy, or caring for the needs of a neighborhood.  We are all children of God, and as such are entrusted by God to look after one another.  Living on purpose means living to serve, living to give, living to receive; looking past the ego and race consciousness to the Divine within always, and living with joy as our compass.

We are here to create and complete, not recreate and compete.

When you go from working for money to working for God, you are living on purpose.

When you go beyond a commitment to just survive, to a commitment to prosper, you are living on purpose.

There is enough…there has always been enough, that’s the secret.  We attract what we are - and if we are living on purpose, we will attract that which we need to fulfill our purpose, and we will be completing the pattern of Divine Creation, and Divine Inspiration.

Living on Purpose takes into consideration the highest and best for all.  There is no selfishness involved when living on purpose.  There is only God, and God’s will.

Our purpose is to express God.  Our purpose is to change the world, by changing our thoughts and deeds.  Our purpose is to Love.

6.      A Fuzzy Tales Quote

WANTED:  HUMAN TO LOVE
by Senator George Vest, Thanks to Jan K.

"The one absolutely unselfish friend that man can have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him, the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous, is the dog.

A man's dog stands by him in prosperity and in poverty, in health and in sickness. He will sleep on the cold ground, where the wintry winds blow and the snow drives fiercely, if only he may be near his master's side.

He will kiss the hand that has no food to offer; he will lick the wounds and sores that come in encounter with the roughness of the world. He guards the sleep of his pauper master as if he were a prince.

When all other friends desert, he remains. When riches take wings and reputation falls to pieces, he is as constant in his love as the sun in its journey thru the heavens."

--- Senator George Vest - 1870

8.      God Given Daisies       — by Carole Devecka

What does it take?

Last weekend I worked at the Helping Hands Loving Hearts Gift Boutique.  It is a retail store located in a little seaside town called Lavalette in New Jersey.  The mission of the Helping Hands Loving Hearts store and non-profit  organization is to raise money to help children suffering from a catastrophic illness and their families.

We are a unique group of volunteers who love what we do, and love the fact that our customers love the reason for the store, love the handmade gifts that we sell, and love that we are all there.

We laugh and say it is guilt free shopping, buying gifts that keep on giving.

From the youngest volunteer who is seven years old, and hand paints garden rocks to sell to raise  money for our children in need, to teenagers and seniors donating time and their talents as we try to fill the needs of these families going through desperate times, we are all blessed.

Customers and volunteers share stories. Stories of God's grace and guardian angels surrounding all of us at different times and changing or saving lives of those we love.

As we were sharing stories of guardian angels protecting us, one customer said that recently her three year old daughter left the house without being noticed. She walked calmly into a high traffic intersection. Many of the cars run through the intersection at a high speed. It is extremely dangerous and many accidents have happened there.

When the little girl was in the middle of the road cars began screeching all over the place.  The car closest to the little girl just stopped dead. No screeching, in fact the driver didn't even hit the brakes.

 The car just died!

It stopped one foot away from the little girl!

The driver said it was like arms were holding cars away from the child's space.  The mother of the child fell to her knees thanking God and the guardian angels for saving her child.

When the father of the child returned home, he was told of the miracle that happened that day and how God's intervention and guardian angels saved his little girl.   The father didn't believe what everyone was saying. He thought that everyone exaggerated the true story.

When everyone asked him, "What does it take?" he had no answer.

"What does it take for you to believe?"  I ask you the same question.

What does it take for you to believe?!
