Howdy Folks and Good Day!
I hope your day is being filled with sunshine, joy, laughter, health and love
from within!
One of the best feelings in the world is to wake up smiling and grateful to be alive. When you open your eyes and feel joy run through your heart and just love who you are and where you are in life, it fills you with positive energy and you feel on top of the world. Maybe even like dancing and singing in the shower!
Do you feel that way today?
Do you feel that way most days?
I know a lot of folks are shouting “Hallelujah! I do!” Yet other folks are mumbling “Yeah, right. What planet did you just step off of? What meds are you on anyway?”
The truth is we usually don’t need medications to feel ALIVE and passionate about life. Most of the time we just need to get out of our own way and allow ourselves the experience.
If I asked you to sing and dance a happy song or perhaps bop along with a favorite tune, you’d think I was nuts. You’d probably judge me as a lunatic. If you allowed yourself to play out doing a happy dance in your mind’s eye, your ego voice would probably kick in and judge it as stupid, foolish, dumb, childish, etc. There might even be a few other explicatives in there.
You know what? That is a perfect example of why we don’t enjoy our lives more!
We get so caught up in judging things! What will people think? Oh, I couldn’t do that… it’s too hard. It costs too much… I’m not smart enough, talented, enough, creative enough, pretty enough… I’ll make a fool of myself. I don’t have time. Nobody will listen to me. Nobody will like me. I’ll fail.
We create all sorts of judgments before we even allow ourselves to try! All those judgments act like a concrete wall with barbed wire and an electric fence around our heart. They literally disconnect us from our spirit, our soul, our very essence. They short circuit our creativity and our zest for life. They cut us off from our real energy source and the true source of love, passion, joy and health!
Wanna know something else? Most of those judgments aren’t even ours!
When we were babies, we didn’t put ourselves down for not being able to talk or walk yet. That would be absurd! But we sure do as adults. We’ve picked up others’ judgments of what is or isn’t, what should or shouldn’t be, what could or couldn’t be. We unconsciously measure ourselves against other people’s standards all the time! Often, we even judge what we look like and what we wear by what other people do or say.
Folks, it’s your body!
Your mind! YOUR
Each one of us is an incredible human being. I know you’ve heard it hundreds of times before but we really are all unique in our own way and that in itself is a miracle! The fact that we’re alive is worth celebrating! Each day has new choices to be made, hundreds of opportunities we can make and take, and unlimited chances to experience love, joy, laughter, passion, gratitude, health, positive energy and life at its fullest, most passionate best!
Right here, right now, think about something you do, can do, or used to do that gives you incredible joy and just sets your heart afire with passion and bliss! Write it down. Make a list of more!
Now comes the fun part… do them!
If you can’t do it today, take a step toward making it happen.
For example, one of my passions is musicals. I love the singing and dancing and happy endings! Mark and I recently went to see Hairspray and we treated ourselves to the CD of it. Now I find myself singing and dancing along with the CD all around the house and I am so filled with Spirit when I do! I’m not even close to be a pro, but I am filled with joy and having fun! And I’m connecting to my true essence and charging myself up. Best of all, I can do it any time and feel great when I do!
What’s your passion?
What can you do today to fill yourself with that divine joy and let it
just overflow through your heart? What
can get you tap-dancing across the floor and singing at the top of your
lungs? (If not literally then at least
figuratively.) What can you do to HAVE
Folks, be prepared! Because as you come close to living full out in the joy of Spirit, your ego mind is gonna kick up a fuss! Pay attention to what comes to mind as you’re thinking of doing something fun on your behalf. Ask yourself where those judgments are coming from. Give yourself permission to move beyond them. Give yourself permission to soar on the wind of today and enjoy your life! Once you get past those judgments, it’s clear sailing!
So come dance with me! Come fly with me! Come enjoy life with me! And do it YOUR way! Your Spirit is calling you!

Holy Smokes People have I got something to share with you!
I am an artist! I am an artist!
There I was minding my own business, going about my life,
when my inner voice kept nudging me to
Me being one who follows her inner promptings, even begrudgingly at times, even when they sound whack at the moment… dutifully set out by taking small actions here and there.
For the past year I have been dabbling in art. Playing, learning, creating and playing, learning and creating some more! And now I have got something to show for it…and it is with great pleasure that I share with you my new product line ~ Simple Truths! And the crowd goes wild!!!!!
I can barely sit still long enough to tell you about these lovely little whimsical wall plaques! They are fun! They are sweet! They are simple! They are the truth ~ lighten up, relax and don’t take life so seriously!
I have created a makeshift website to show the plaques that I have left right now (and there are so many more to come!) because they are flying out the door! As soon as I make them, they are gone. Woo hoo!
Another reason for the makeshift website is because I am having my website professionally designed and I can’t wait to share it with you guys! And can I just tell you that I love my new website! I love it so much that I proposed marriage to the web designer Noah!
As I have never given nor received a marriage proposal, I was wondering if it is a bad sign that I haven’t heard anything back on this particular subject. I mean it has been 3 days, 17 hours, 37 minutes and 28 seconds. Oh well, I am a patient gal. Anyway, I think he is just trying to get his head around that fact that when I was graduating from high school, he wasn’t even an idea yet! I am just kidding Noah! Anywho, I digress… like I was saying, my current website is a makeshift website for in the meantime. And the pictures don’t do the plaques justice ~ but I can’t be all things artistic. I am cool with that! I made this website in response to the overwhelming advice from the folks who have seen (and bought!) the plaques in person who are screaming at me to get them out there!
Anyone who has seen them gets this really big grin on their face and get all excited and then I get an even bigger grin and say, “I know, I know! Aren’t they so cute?!!” And then like school children we grab hands and twirl round and round so excited to the point of exhaustion… Ok, so maybe it’s only me, but we come close to it!!!
And my Mom has been my greatest supporter. It is just
like being in kindergarten all over again! I have shared all of my
masterpieces with her over the course of the last year and each step of the way
you would have thought I was Picasso! I even have a special little folder
in her computer that houses all of my work. Kind of like a refrigerator
door computer style. I am 36 and repeating kindergarten ~
The sole purpose of these plaques is to serve as a reminder to not take life so seriously all the time. One of the best places to hang the plaques is in your work space. Talk about a mood shifter when your eyes fall on one of these and you remember ~ Lighten up Dude! They are guaranteed to make you and others smile. They make perfect gifts too!

WHAT’S ON THE INSIDE?
"Energy
Alan Cohen is one of my most favorite authors. I have taken several workshops with him and find his wisdom ever so timely in my life. I just received an email with an ad for one of Alan’s books and followed the link where I read some of the reviews and there was the quote. There are no coincidences... I was meant to read it and think about how this concept applies to my own life.
Last week I wrote about my fantastic summer and how it all seemed to be about gratitude. I thought a bit more about it and realized it also is about attitude.
I spent three of the best hours over the weekend down
at the beach at
I took a break to sit on a rock and just contemplate my life. I was overwhelmed with gratitude for all that I have today.
I watched the waves come in and rush to the shore, crashing up against the rocks. Watching the waves reminded me of how life sends us experiences just like those waves. Some are gentle and soft and don't make much noise. Those are ones that if we aren't aware, can go by unnoticed. Yet, some are full, loud, demanding our attention and bring us crashing to our knees.
If I said everything thing about my life-changing move here was easy, I would be lying. I have had several very tough challenges. I got through each one and know I am a better person because of those challenges. What occurred to me was that all things considered, my life is good. I am good... Deep down inside, my heart and soul are happy!
My happiness comes from within and I did the work on myself to feel the way I do today.

We all know people who seem to have challenge after challenge and yet they are happy and go about making the best of their situations. It has to do with what is going on inside of them, how they look at their lives, and what is important to them.
What is going on inside of you?
Do you look for your happiness on the outside and don't seem to have it?
Does it matter where you are and what you have?
Are you insides happy?
If not, are you willing to do the work that it takes to become happy inside?
Trust me on this one -- it's worth all the work.
