Howdy Folks and Good Day!

I’d like to ask you to participate in an experiment with me today…

Think of someone you really love — perhaps an infant, a pet, a parent, a spouse, a friend, a mentor — anyone who brings a smile to your heart and with whom you truly have a soul connection.

As you think of that person, see them smiling and envision being with them; perhaps giving them a hug, holding their hand, laughing together, or just talking.  How does it feel?  Is your body relaxed, joyful, and happy?  Do you feel both loved and loving?

As you were thinking of this person and visualizing yourself interacting with them, did you notice how positive your thoughts and words for them were?

Now, try the same experiment but this time visualize being with your Self.  You may call it your True Self, your Higher Self, or even your Inner Child.  But get with you!  Talk to your Self and listen in on your thoughts.  What kind of things are they (you) saying?  Are your thoughts positive or negative?

When we are with those we love, we do our best to speak positively, warmly, and lovingly to them.  Yet, often we do the opposite to our Self as our ego or fear driven thoughts become negative and toxic.

It’s time to get back to loving our Self!

Loving ourselves is crucial to building a positive life. To truly love our Self, we must become aware of negative self talk and reprogram our beliefs and thinking with positive, loving, and peaceful statements of truth.  We must be willing to invest in our well being in every way including physically, emotionally, spiritually, financially, and creatively.

Many folks would give the shirt off their back to someone they love if needed.  Yet they may have been taught to feel guilty or unworthy of replacing that shirt with another for their own needs.   We would not starve nor deprive those we care about; we need to care about ourselves enough to fill up our consciousness and well-being with peace, love, joy, and health.

Today, love on you.  Take care of yourself and nurture your spirit.  Believe in YOU.  Believe in your dreams!  Believe you are worthy of pursuing and receiving your heart’s truest desires.

Love yourself enough to move through the storms of doubt and fear should they plague you.  There’s smooth sailing on the other side.  You just have to trust Love and your instincts and be willing to create a little more positive programming to live by…

With Peace, Love, Happiness, Health, and Prosperity…

ARE YOU DISAPPOINTED IN YOURSELF?

I recently received a thread of emails from one of our MasterMind Teams. It seems a few of the members were feeling like they’d lost some of “the magic”.

It happens to all of us. We don’t achieve some of our goals as fast as we’d like. We don’t do what we SAID we’d do. We feel like we’re just going through the motions. We stop doing what worked in the past and we get off track.

For many of us, we’re looking for that magic key, that new piece of information, that miraculous insight that will make it happen in a fun and exciting way.

But most often, what we really need is to get back to basics.

Professional sports teams constantly drill on the fundamentals of the game. There isn’t much in the way of new strategies, tactics or tools. The good coaches and the good players know that they have to constantly practice what they already know in order to win games.

We’re no different. We have to refocus on our goals, do the work that’s needed and trust that the process will yield results.

That’s why our Diamond Club requires at least a 12-month commitment. There will likely be times when we aren’t making as much progress as we think we should. We will sometimes be embarrassed to report our lack of activity toward our most important goals.

And yet that’s when we most need a mastermind team. That’s when we most need to get back to the basics—what worked, what didn’t and what’s next.

If you’re disappointed in yourself for not having done what you said you’d do, you just need to get over it. Because it is OVER. It’s history. You can’t un-ring a bell. You have to learn to refocus, recommit—and sometimes rethink—but you have to start again.  You have to remain committed to the objective even though the PATH you use to get there may change.

We need to ask ourselves: what do we want?  Why do we want it? What are we willing to do to get it?

If you spend your time agonizing over what you failed to do, what didn’t work or what’s wrong with the process, you are living in the past.

The point of power is in the present.

Successful people do not live in the past. They start over every day.

Do they get disappointed in themselves? Sure.  But they use that disappointment to create ‘inspirational dissatisfaction’. They turn their SHOULDS into MUSTS and they move forward.

Notice where you fall short of the mark, but don’t beat yourself up. You can’t change the past, but you CAN create a new future.

You can do it.

5.      Sir Froggie’s Pondering — from Sir Froggie

SET YOUR FLAG ATOP THE MOUNTAIN

What have you accomplished in your life?  Do you know where you’re going and where you’ve been?  What imprints have you left behind?

Set your flag atop the mountain!

Looking out from my home, there’s a large hill leading up to a steep rugged mountain peak.  The rocky terrain is destitute from a bygone wildfire yet the chaparral vegetation has managed to return.  Hawks circle above it in the afternoon thermals and the song of coyotes come from its hidden crevices by moonlight.  The mountain and hillside conceal several valleys from my view, yet I know of their existence from attempts to hike the trails.

I’ve stared out at the top of that mountain many a day, wondering if anyone has ever reached its summit.  There must be a trail to it somewhere, it must be accessible somehow…  But how?  Is it even possible?

One sunny afternoon as I let my spirit drift along with the lazy flight of a bird I saw it.  There! Atop the mountain!  Or were my eyes playing tricks in the blazing light?  No.  There it is again!  A red flag!  There’s a flag on top of the mountain!

It seemed to appear out of nowhere and yet there it is waving in the breeze, standing as proud as can be.  Someone had to have placed it there!  That means someone actually made it to the top!  Someone found the way!  Did they leave a trail for the rest of us?

I haven’t found the path to the top yet but I feel as if I'm there already.  Every day I see the red flag waving hello to me, beckoning for me to try.  Beckoning us all to try.

Whoever planted that flag left a reminder of an incredible accomplishment, left a marker the rest of us could see and get inspired from.

What markers have I left in my life?  What have I accomplished that might inspire others?  Have I celebrated my feats, large and small?  Have I done anything to make note of them?

How about you?  What have you accomplished?  How did you mark this feat?  Where have you set your flag for others to see?

We all make impressions just by being here.  They stem from our actions, attitudes, and accomplishments, be they professionally, personally, or even just for fun.  If we ask those who know us, where would they see the marker flags of our life?  Where do we see them?

What in our lives is worth noting?  What do we wish to leave behind, buried in the earth’s valleys and crevices?

Where have we come from?  Where have we stopped along the way?  Who have we met there?  What kind of journey has it been?  Where are we going next and what do we have our sight set on now?  Is there a map to follow or is it up to us to blaze the trail?

Set your flag atop the mountain!
