Howdy Folks and Good Day!
Wowee-Zowee!
You guys and gals are awesome!
I can’t begin to thank you enough for all your encouragement, support, honesty and awesome advice in response to the creation of SFPNN, Sir Froggie and angel merchandise!
THANK YOU.
THANK YOU.
THANK YOU!
Seriously, I can’t even begin to tell you how much it means to me. Please accept my apology for not getting back to each one of you sooner. (If I haven’t already, I promise I will later today.)
I hit the ground running yesterday and didn’t have much time
to work at the computer at all, partly because I received the unexpected gift
of
I’ve been looking for a lot of ways to reduce stress and to
flow with Life a little more. That’s
part of why I asked YOUR opinion on the merchandising. Instead of worrying about the unknown—Would they buy it?
What do they want? What don’t
they want? Etc., etc.—I decided to take the leap to find out. I’m discovering more and more that the
anxiety and fear which wells up inside of us BEFORE we take that first step or
leap is usually much worse than the step or leap itself!
Most of readers know I LOVE flying no matter what size plane it is. I’ve even flown in gliders (airplanes without engines) and it was awesome. What you might not know is that I have this really weird phobia. I don’t like walking in high places where I can look down and see air or a drop off beneath my feet. Things like fire escape stairs, light house steps, piers and railroad trestles absolutely scare the begeebers out of me and taking that first step onto them can be terrifying. Logically, the few feet I could drop from the stairs or a railroad bridge pales in comparison with the thousands of feet I could plummet in an airplane, but I feel much safer in the airplane. It feels more solid! And I have faith in myself to control it.
But I had to learned that faith and control. Just like I’ve learned to face my funky fear of see-through steps and walk-ways. I’ve realized that when I’m looking down and focusing on the drop off, my mind is racing with all sorts of worst-case scenarios of what could happen. But when I look ahead, or I just soak up all the scenery like I do when I’m flying, fear releases its grip or just goes away.
Perhaps it’s because I’m focused on the beauty, on my destination, and I’m seeing the divinity in everything instead of the fear-filled scenarios. It took me a while to get to this point and there are still days when taking that first step can put a knot in my throat and butterflies in my stomach. But I know as soon as I put myself in action, there’s no looking back, and no looking down. It’s time to look up. It’s time to bask in the glory of where I am!
Thank YOU to each one of you for taking this journey with me and for taking your own first steps as SFPNN continues to grow in leaps and bounds! We all have hopes and we all have fears. But knowing there are others to whom we can turn, who can remind us to keep our eyes focused on the horizon and where it is we want to go, makes such a tremendous difference. Instead of listening to the voices of doubt and fear in our head, we listen to the words of encouragement and praise from support group.
The power of one single confident and heartfelt “YOU CAN DO IT!” can
make all the difference in the world.
Thank you for letting me know you believe in me the way I
believe in each of you! Thank you for
being my companions on this journey and for taking in the scenery with me. Thank you for your insights, love and
support. Most of all, thank you for being
YOU!
With Peace, Love, Happiness, Health, and Prosperity…

GOOD
NEWS FROM SFPNNers!
ANGEL VIDEOS FROM JOAN WESTER
Many of you may recognize Joan’s name from several of her angel stories featured as SFPNN Special Editions, or you may even subscribe to her “Where Angels Walk” newsletter. One thing is for certain, Joan has an amazing collection of angel stories!
And she wanted to let folks know that in addition to these stories being available in books, she also has two angel story videos! Both are 47 minutes each and feature interviews with folks who’ve had real life angel encounters. They retail for $10 each or she’s running a special where you can get both videos for just $16. Joan says they make great Christmas presents! If they’re anything like her books, I believe her!

GRAND NEWS FROM FRANK R.
Hi!
I pray that you are well and happy!!
I've been very busy and age (as well as my "past life") is catching up. BUT my son and his wife recently presented me with my FIRST grandchild... a little boy they named "Jacob."
Of course, he's adorable!!
Also, I was "re-instated" to your Froggie cartoons and story and I received one stating, "Make an art out of living instead of suffering." I work in a Head Start classroom and I'd LOVE to make a copy of this and post it where the parents sign in their little "darlings."
Sincerely,
--Frank

Wednesday WORD — by Diane, The
VULNERABLE
"Often
when we're being tough
— Dudley Martineau
Life's lessons come to us in the strangest ways and at the most inconvenient times. This past week I had a major lesson in being vulnerable. Through it, I've come to learn just a bit more about myself and what makes me tick, as well as what old behaviors no longer serve me.
Over the years, I’ve developed defenses to protect myself from past abuses and hurts. Many times these defenses do serve me, however, there is a point when I must let go and trust.
Vulnerability is a part of being human and it is a part of strength. We might perceive strength as making us brittle, hard and cold. We can even behave in ways that push people away. Being vulnerable softens us and allows others to love and accept us for who we really are. It allows intimacy to happen and truly strengthens us and the relationship.
We may believe the risk of exposing our soft underbelly invites judgment and rejection. It's a hard risk to take. I had to look closely at what I was feeling to realize I was scared. I need to trust that the people in my life today aren't out to hurt me. I had to learn that it is OK to not know something, to ask for help and that another person can do something nice for me without an ulterior motive. More importantly, I don't have to be perfect and only show the world my strong, put together, confident side. I can just be me.
To be vulnerable takes courage. Courage to trust that who we are today is enough. To know that if someone rejects us for being who we are that person wasn't meant to be in our life. Trust that someone won't use our vulnerability to control, manipulate or use against us at a later date.
When I felt vulnerable it triggered something inside of me that needs healing, something I have to work on myself. It isn't about the other person. It is completely about me and my feelings. When I feel this way, I must figure out what I need to do to work through it; it might be to call a friend to reason things out. I need to treat myself with compassion, own my own power, and know that everything happens for a reason. I may not know the reason in that moment but I can trust in time it will become clear.
One of the good things about the fears that were triggered from feeling vulnerable was that I realized just how far I have come with working on this issue. In the past, I would have felt upset for days. This time I was able to figure it out and redirect myself in a positive direction in a very short amount of time.
