Howdy Folks and Good Day!

You may have noticed today’s date is 10/10.  Is there any significance to the number ten?   Well if you ask Doreen Virtue and Lynette Brown in their book, Angel Numbers, they will tell you:

You’re receiving Divine Guidance from God through thoughts, ideas, insights or what’s called claircognizance (knowing facts without knowing how you received the information).  Stay positive about the messages you receive.

If you’ve been keeping an open heart all week, you’ve probably noticed a lot more ideas, gut feelings, or intuitive hunches coming to you.  That’s because when we open our hearts, we raise our frequency and allow ourselves to receive information from a higher level of consciousness.

You can call it God, the angels, intuition, Source the divine matrix, energy or just knowing.  It doesn’t matter what you call it, but do call upon it.   It’s there for us to use for our highest good and the good of those around us.

Sometimes we can open our hearts fully, and even shield ourselves, and challenges still come up.  What do we do then?

One method I’ve found effective for dealing with difficult situations is to stop, put my hands on my heart and say, “God, please speak and work through me, as well as all others involved to resolve this situation.  I trust your wisdom and guidance and know you will provide the best possible outcome for all.  Thank you.  And so it is.”

After affirming a little heavenly help, put on your best (genuine) happy face, and truly try to come from a place of love and gratitude, expecting the best possible outcome.  When you deal with the people involved, no matter what their attitude is, remain positive, grateful and filled with positive expectations.  Continue to ask God to work through everyone involved.

It’s amazing how effective this works!  I can’t tell you the number of times my husband and I have dealt with situations where he went in upset, angry and feeling like he wasn’t getting what he wanted, and I went in using the above technique.  Guess who got the best results?

It’s a no-brainer.  Literally!  Because it comes from the heart, not the ego-thinking mind.  When we come from an open heart, we allow love and divine guidance to flow through us.  Because we’re open to that guidance, we make better choices.  We also have a more positive, compassionate energy which affects the energy of those around us.  Where love flows, miracles grow!

Today, open your heart and invite the love, miracles and divine guidance that are your birthright into your life.

With Peace, Love, Happiness, Health, and Prosperity…

Rev. Jeanette

MY NEPHEW FEATURED IN ARTICLE!from Jan K

My sister-in-law sent the following article to me. To think my nephew, Kyle Beck, was just here in our house the first part of October and acted as humble as always.  This sure was a surprise!  He's now back in London, and we just keep our fingers crossed that what he is doing keeps him out of Iraq!

Crew chiefs keep jets
fit to fight
By  Airman 1st Class Torri Ingalsbe
48th Fighter Wing Public Affairs

ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England  -- The 48th Fighter Wing F-15s fly over 15,000 sorties and 24,000 flying hours a year, helping to maintain the Air Force's reputation for being the world's most respected air force.

However, none of these jets would even be able to leave the chalks without crew chiefs.

The crew chiefs are responsible for the jet before and after a flight, performing three hours of inspections and various functional checks. They maintain and repair all parts of the jet, performing general mechanical work as opposed to working on a particular system or subsystem.

"We don't troubleshoot or replace engines, but we're expected to know about everything concerning the jets," said Staff Sgt. Andrew Hecox, 48th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, dedicated crew chief.

He said knowledge of the jets is only one part of a crew chief's job. They also have to decide the operational ability of the jet.

"When your name's on the side of a jet, it's a big responsibility," said Sergeant Hecox. "We're the final line when it comes to deciding whether or not a jet is good to fly."

If there is a small problem, the crew chief fixes it and launches the jet without a hinge. If the problem is too big for a quick-fix, the jet gets "red-x'd" and is unable to fly until the proper maintenance is performed. This "last call" for the operational readiness of the jet places a huge amount of accountability on the crew chief.

"If something goes wrong, the crew chiefs are looked at first," said Senior Airman Kyle Beck, 48th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, assistant dedicated crew chief. He said teamwork and communication are essential in maintaining the safety of the aircrew and the integrity of the jet.

"It's really hard work. If your hands aren't dirty at the end of the day, you didn't do anything," Airman Beck said.

With people working shifts 24 hours a day, the crew chief's job is never done. "During regular operations, we have three shifts; days, swings and mids. During the overlap time, we have more people to get the work done but we always have the next shift finishing up things the previous shift couldn't," Sergeant Hecox said.

With responsibility for the lives of fellow Airmen and a multi-million dollar aircraft, coupled with long hours and hard work, why would anyone want to be a crew chief? "It's the best job in the Air Force," Airman Beck said.  "I get to work on the best fighters in the world, and I feel proud when I see one of those jets in the air and I know it's there because of me."

8.      Wednesday WORD — by Diane, The California Dreamer

MEMORIES CREATED

I just spent six wonderful days with my son. It was quality time together.  He came out to see me on a much needed vacation from his fast paced life and I receive my much needed my Gregory fix.

We agreed we would both choose something very Southern California to do.  I chose a day at Disneyland on Wednesday. We certainly enjoyed it and were very surprised at how much it had changed in the last 12 years since we had been there.

It was a great experience to let ourselves enjoy the beautiful warm fall day being kids.  We were able to go on each of the rides we wanted to with very short waiting times.  I was also amazed at the large number of adults just like us going on the rides without small children with them.  I guess everyone needs to be a kid once in a while and do something for their child within.

The next day was Gregory's choice.  He chose to drive up to Santa Ynez (near Santa Barbara) and do a winery tour.  It was another picture perfect warm fall Southern California day and the drive north was perfect.

As we drove along, to the left of the highway was the ocean with breathtaking beaches as far as we could see. To the right, there were mountains, also as far as we could see, that were equally as beautiful and peaceful as the ocean. It is at moments like that I recall why I moved here and how grateful I am to have landed in this part of California.

It's been years since I have been to an active winery and seen how things are done. Gregory and I both enjoyed tasting the local offerings and the beauty of the vineyards.

It was a strange feeling having my child drinking wine with me, telling me all about the wine making process and what kind of wine went with what kind of foods.  It seemed like not too long ago he was a small child. Now here he was a grown man with excellent taste in wines.

We stopped in Santa Barbara and had dinner on the pier watching the sunset and talking over the events of the day.  It was a nice feeling to be able to compare notes on the wines we both enjoyed and agree on the one that was the best for the day.

Gregory had the day to himself on Friday when I went back to work.  He was able to explore the local area on his own and meet up with some of his new business associates in Santa Monica.

Saturday Gregory took me to breakfast at the Polo Club in Beverly Hills.  This has become one of his “Must-Do-When-in-L.A.” things.  He and I even had a celebrity spotting of David Spade two tables down from us.

We then drove through Beverly Hills down Sunset Drive to Pacific Coast Highway to enjoy the beaches with a stop at Paradise Cove to watch a friend take his first scuba dive.  Once again, it was a picture perfect Southern California kind of day.

Sunday, when I took Gregory to the airport we both agreed, without a doubt, it was a perfect vacation and our time together was exceptional.  His choice to come to visit had exceeded his every expectation.  Our quality Mom and Son time was what memories are made of.

You might be saying, "So what your son came to visit you, why is that a big deal?"   Several years ago, Gregory and I went through a tough time together.  I used to refer to him lovingly as the "resident teenager."  We had many a moment that I suspect wasn't any different from any other teen and parent.

What I am trying to say is… there is hope!  If you have a "resident teenager" who is trying your patience, trust me, they do grow up and become adults.  Have faith that there will come a time when you will connect as adults and enjoy the heart and soul connection you share.

Today my heart and soul are more than full.  I am grateful for the time we shared and the memories we created.

Gregory, from my heart to yours -- I love you and am so proud of the young man you have become.
