Howdy Folks and Good Day!

At some point in time we’ve all wondered if we can really make a difference in the world.  Making the world even a little bit better can seem like a daunting task.  Still we try our best to be good, decent, caring people and hope that a smile, a kind word or a helping hand really can do some good.

I have something really exciting to share with you!  I’ve been reading The Divine Matrix – by Gregg Braden and there’s some very encouraging statistics in there!

Gregg sites studies such as the “International Peace Project in the Middle East” which was published in the Journal of Conflict Resolution in 1988.   Researches tracked the impact a group of people practicing a Transcendental Meditation of Peace had on terrorist incidents, crime, emergency room visits and accidents.  This study, along with many others, confirmed that a small group of people consciously achieving peace within themselves affected a much larger whole in noticeably measurable way.

Through the studies, the research teams were actually able to recognize a formula for how many people are needed to impact a change in any region!   Here’s the really cool part…

“The minimum number of people required to ‘jump-start’ a change in consciousness is the √1% of a population.”

That’s it.  Just the square root of one percent of the population!

That means if we want to begin to change the consciousness of one million people, we only need one hundred people to get that change rolling!

Gregg states that “In a world of 6 billion people, it’s only about 8,000.”

Let that sink in for a minute…Only about 8,000 people are needed to start to change the consciousness of the entire planet!

Of course, this just begins the process and the more people, the more effective and swift the change, but these numbers are doable!

For comparison sake, modern stadiums hold around 70,000 people!  Yet we only need 8,000 people focused on becoming peace (or love or healing or anything else) to begin a change which spans our globe!   If we can put our focus on Monday night football, surely we can focus on creating the kind of world we desire – even when all bets are off!

OK, I’m with you. I personally don’t think I know 8,000 people.  But I do know quite a few.  And I can be the kind of change I want to see in the world around them.  And they can be the kind of change they desire around the people they know and it can ripple outward and continue to grow!

So folks, we really can change the world!  All it takes is the √1% of a population.  I’m willing to be one the participants.  How ‘bout you?

With Peace, Love, Happiness, Health, and Prosperity…

Rev. Jeanette

WHEN DO YOU SET YOUR GOALS FOR THE NEW YEAR?

Imagine, less than 60 days left in this year.

The holidays will soon be upon us.

For many people, the holidays aren't very productive as far as accomplishing our most important goals. Some of us give up on our goals for the current year completely.  Others make an effort, but they're already beginning to live in the New Year.

I certainly don't advocate doing that.

And our Diamond Club MasterMind Teams are looking to finish the year strong. I won't let them give up--and neither will their team mates.

If YOU would like to make some good progress in the last one-sixth of the year AND get a great jump start on next year, I highly recommend you become a member today.

I also wrote an article about jump-starting the New Year at

http://successnet.org/cms/Special-Invitation-Get-a-Jumpstart-on-2008.html

That said, I'm also a big advocate for taking time during the holidays to think about the past year and begin planning the next.

And the best tool and resource for that is our Goal Planner. It's loaded with solid information, powerful exercises and excellent tracking processes.

I created the Planner in collaboration with several of my colleagues. It's based on over 30 years of my research and experience. Then it was beta-tested by my entire Diamond Club Team.

Determine what you really want, prioritize your goals, stay focused and remain consistently moving in the direction of your dreams throughout the year with SuccessNet's Goal Planner.

5.      Sir Froggie’s Pondering — from Sir Froggie

DO IT ONE STRETCH AT TIME!

What’s your dream?  Do you have a plan for achieving your goals?  Are you stretching yourself to change or do you feel stuck and overwhelmed?

Do it one stretch at a time!

Too often we talk ourselves out of our heart’s desires before we ever begin.  If we allow ourselves to think past the voices of doubt and fear which tell us our goals are foolish, we succumb to thinking we have to do it all at once, soon realizing this impossibility.

Going from start to finish in one swift leap and bound IS impossible, but we CAN do it one stretch at a time.

Take the goal of getting healthy and losing thirty-five pounds.  One certainly wouldn’t lose all thirty-five pounds at once.  It would be a shock to the system; the human body couldn’t keep up.  But you could lose a pound or two a week and instead of jolting yourself into something impossible, you’d be able to ease into changes that work for you.

Of course you would need to adjust your diet, and the addition of exercise would be paramount.  If you’ve never worked out before and start your routine with an hour of intense cardio-vascular kick-boxing, chances are it will feel like it’s way too much.  You’ll have a difficult time keeping up and you’ll hurt all over the next day.    However, if you chose a mild form of aerobic activity such as walking for twenty to thirty minutes, you’d still be stretching yourself to be active, but it would be at a pace your body could handle.  And as you become healthier, you could stretch yourself to higher levels of exertion a little bit at a time.

Should you decide to lift weights for exercise it would be better to start with the lighter weight dumbbells than to try to bench 500 lbs, or even 100 lbs the first time out.  It’s important to stretch ourselves when trying to grow and work toward our goal but it’s equally important to do it at a pace we can handle.  Otherwise we get overwhelmed and sabotage our best intentions.

Professional body builders know the importance of focusing on one core area at a time.  As one group of muscles is carefully stretched, old tissue is broken down and the new is built up into better, stronger, muscles.  This is how life works, too.  We focus on one core area at a time, giving it our full attention, breaking down the old and building up the new.

Taking things one stretch at time, we stick with it because it feels doable.  Sure there may be a few growing pains, but they’re more a slight discomfort than overwhelming shock or agony.  By keeping at it, the discomfort becomes less noticeable while our progress appears more and more.  We stretch ourselves little by little, and before we know it, we’ve reached new heights, strengthened our core and have gained new flexibility.

And we do it one stretch at a time.
