Howdy Folks and Good Day!
FYI, in honor of Thanksgiving in the United States, SFPNN will NOT be
distributed this Thursday or Friday! Have a wonderful day of giving thanks
no matter where you are!
* * *
My husband Mark and I recently attended a wonderful conference called “Celebrate Your Life.” It featured keynote speakers such as Caroline Myss, Wayne Dyer, James Van Praagh and Deepak Chopra. In addition to hearing the keynote speakers, I also took workshops with Steven Farmer, Brian Weiss, M.D., Gregg Braden, KC Miller and Dr. Joan Borysenko. To say it was a jam-packed weekend would be an understatement!
This was the first time many people in attendance had experienced anything like this. Some of them had never even heard of the authors or keynote speakers before. Others had never been exposed to such empowering information. Regardless of whether it was their first time or fifth, everyone left feeling uplifted and inspired!
Personally, more than lot of new information, I took away a lot of validation of my own inner knowledge. It was an incredible experience to listen to people who had scientifically researched many of the things I’ve been inspired to write about in the past. Now I not only had the intuitive knowledge, I also had the scientific data to back it up – and that felt really good!
So often in life we just KNOW things but we can’t really explain how or why. We just do!
Sometimes “just knowing” can be due to stubborn ego thinking such as “I just know I’m right! I KNOW I am! Why? Because I said so!”
But other times, especially when we tune into our Higher Self and God on a regular basis we “just know” because our intuition is a direct channel for Divine Guidance. It’s not about being right--nor proving anyone wrong. It’s about following our authentic path and being true to what’s in our best interest and the best interest of everyone around us.
Sometimes we get a little bit of ego and a little bit of Divine Guidance mixed in together and it can get confusing. How do we tell them apart?
Being aware of energy can be very helpful. Divine Guidance has a calm, loving, nonjudgmental energy. Ego energy is more constrictive, urgent, and anxious. And ego loves to judge things – especially as right or wrong, good or bad, with nothing in between.
If you can’t tell what kind of energy it is, you can always check in by asking, “What are my motivations in this situation?” And do make sure you check PLURAL motivations because if we get real honest with ourselves, we often have more than one thing we’re hoping to accomplish in any situation.
Divinely Guided motivations will be for the best of everyone involved and come from a place of love and compassion. Ego guided motivations usually only benefit our Self (or those closest to us), and often come at the expense of others. Ego motivated actions don’t usually take the well-being of those with opposing views into consideration and they’re often about proving ourselves right or saying, “Look at me! Ain’t I great?!” (Or smart, talented, beautiful, funny, etc.) Divine Guidance may acknowledge our gifts but that’s not its guiding force. Divine Guidance is about bringing good to our world and being of service – both to others and ourselves.
When we get in touch with our authentic Self, it’s easier to figure out our true motivation. And it’s easier to want to learn more and more about Life and how to connect with Spirit. That’s why conferences like Celebrate Your Life are so transformational… they help us get in touch with our Inner Being, our Divine Knowing… whether it’s for the first time, or a confirmation of the past 20 years or so. It validates who we are and helps us recognize our Spirit.
If you’ve never been to one of these types of conferences, I highly recommend giving them a try a least once or twice. Do some research on the internet. See what you relate to. Any time and money you invest in your Self and your spiritual growth is worth it! Why? Because it helps you get in touch with your authentic Self and recognize your highest good. It helps you find deeper meaning within your own life. And hey, it just plain feels good.
Celebrate Your Life is now being offered twice a year… The
2008 venues are in
http://www.celebrateyourlife.org
or http://www.mishkaproductions.com/
Hay House also offers similar conferences throughout the year called, “I Can Do It!”
Dates are listed as follows:
Mexican
Their schedule currently only runs through spring of 2008 at
this time but keep an eye out for the
You can visit the following and scroll through the pages to see what other events you might be interested in, too.
Of course the above conferences do require a bit of a financial investment but
don’t give up your opportunity to learn if those conferences seem outside the
budget right now. For starters, you’ve
got advanced warning; there’s time to begin setting aside a little money every
week if it’s something you really want to do.
The other thing to consider is Hay House Radio. Just go to www.hayhouseradio.com . You may have to create a password and account, etc., but they do not charge for this service.
Hay House Radio offers lectures, archives, audio downloads and free radio shows from many very gifted authors and researchers and it’s a great way to get positive programming for your mind, body and soul. And you can even listen to it right at your computer. I’ve heard several folks say it’s a lot easier to get connected through Hay House Radio than through contacting the authors directly on their personal sites so you might want to at least take a look.
It’s so important to keep feeding one’s mind and spirit healthy and nourishing food – just like it is to feed one’s body all good things. Now there are more ways to do this than ever. So invest in yourself. I know that’s a message I repeat a lot to you but it’s only because it’s worth sharing – and so is your own personal knowledge and wisdom! If nothing else, it’s good to get a little validation of what you “just know” every now and then.
Have a GREAT day filled with Divine Guidance, Insight and Wisdom!
With Peace, Love, Happiness, Health, and Prosperity…

I can reach up high and down low.
I can stand up and swivel all around,
I can move my hands fast and then slow.
On my spot I can wiggle, I can bounce,

I can leave my spot and march all around
Then quietly return on my tip toe
Ahead of time prepare a laminated colored circle for each of your students. Give each child a circle (a spot). Ask them how we could use it. Pretend it is a steering wheel. Can you drive around the room? Use it as an umbrella. Are you shivering in the rain? Pretend it is a waiter’s serving tray, or a mirror. What else?
Ask the children if they can sit on the spot and move only their hands Challenge them with other isolation moves while they sit. Can they move their right foot? How slowly can they move their left arm and hand? How high can they reach both hands while remaining seated? Can they bounce their body, even while they are sitting? Can they bounce but not let their seat leave the circle?
Ask the students if they can stand on the spot, on one foot like a stork? Can they swivel, pivot, or rotate?
Read the rhyme and ask the children if they are able to act it out.
Though this rhyme sets the stage for investigating high and low, fast and slow, turning and marching, it also sets the stage to advance to an entire new activity, one where the children will sharpen their listening skills. The rhyme does aid in examining movement at levels and movement within a space and then searching out a new space. This new activity will promote listening, understanding and following a sequence of moves.
Advancing
Have the children return to sit on their spots. Suggest: “When the music starts can you leave your spot and march anywhere in our work area. When the music stops can you tip toe back and sit on the spot?” (Either pre-tape something appropriate or use drums, shakers, or a tambourine.)
Next: “Can we leave our spots when we hear the music and this time can we walk sideways? When the music stops can we skip back to our spot and place our hands on the spot?
Each time you send the students away from their spot, provide a new way to move and soon ask the children for ideas. “What body part should we place on the spot when we return?”

SCREENING OF “WAITRESS” NOV 27TH
I'm writing to tell you about StoryMakers
Studio's special celebration of the film “Waitress” on Tuesday evening, November
27 at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre Complex in
This critically acclaimed film took the 2007 Sundance Film
Festival by storm and has been embraced by audiences all over the country with its
empowering story of a small town woman (Russell), trapped in an abusive
marriage with a baby on the way.
Adrienne Shelly's genius was to make a truly funny and often
heart warming story of friendship and growth as Russell's character makes new choices
that ultimately enable her to turn her life around.
Tragically, Adrienne Shelly herself never lived to see how
successful her movie would become, having died before completing her film.
To honor her memory, her husband, Andy Ostroy,
established the Adrienne Shelly Foundation which provides scholarship funds for
women filmmakers to continue Adrienne's passion and legacy.
A portion of the proceeds from StoryMakers
Studio's "Waitress" event will be donated to the Adrienne Shelly
Foundation.

Wednesday WORD — by Diane, The
HAPPY THANKSGIVING 2007
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
How is your gratitude list going? Do you have to search for things to be grateful for or has it come easy to you? have you noticed anything different about your life since you began keeping the list?
One of the things I noticed about myself is that I have been extremely happy lately. I get up excited about my day ahead. Now trust me, not much has changed in my life. What has changed is my perception of my life. By keeping a gratitude list, it becomes second nature to be able to come up with things to feel fortunate about.
I often get to work and my co-workers joke and ask what kind of drugs am I on. The other running joke is that I am "the love" meaning that I have been making a couscous decision to see everyone I come in contact with through the eyes of love. Not that I am 100% successful with this 100% of the time. But just by them saying that it reminds me to be the love – to notice others with love. Oddly, it does help in dealing with often difficult individuals.
Part of my gratitude has to do with living and being where I desire. Through this gratitude exercise I realized that for the first time in my life, my heart and soul truly are happy. This happiness is inside and it naturally expresses itself outside.
So as within, so it is without. I didn't really understand that concept until recently. By being happy and joyous within myself, It expresses outside of me. I am excited about my life. I can look around and see that I am so very blessed in so many different ways.
As you sit down to your holiday dinner tomorrow take a few moments to go around the table and openly give thanks and acknowledge all you are grateful for. Once you start sharing, it will be amazing what you each come up with.
Here's to a joyous, thankful and safe holiday!!
