Howdy Folks and Good Day!

It’s hard to believe we only have two more weeks of SFPNN before our annual holiday break!   If you have a Christmas or Hanukkah story, a favorite holiday website, or even a holiday joke or blessing you’d like to share, make sure to send it in ASAP!

E-mail sfpnn@sfpnn.com with "For The Christmas Issue" or "For the Hanukkah Issue" in the subject line.   Thanks!

* * *

As we enter the busiest time of the year, I’d like to invite you to pause with me for a minute…

Take some time to examine what you’re investing in for the next several weeks.  What are you giving your time, energy, money, emotions and thoughts to?  What kind of value do these things hold for you?   How much of YOU are they worth?

As you reflect on your energetic, emotional, intellectual and financial investments, consider prioritizing them according to how you value them.  If something doesn’t have a good “return” for you, maybe it’s time to let it go.  If you’re not ready to eliminate it all together, maybe you can cut back or simplify it a bit so it’s not so consuming.

Life is so very precious.  And the holidays are truly a special time of the year – especially when we learn to budget our time, money, emotions, energy, and thoughts.  Making ourselves crazy getting stuff done doesn’t add to the joy.  It eliminates it.

With careful reflection and prioritizing we can take a truly balanced approach to the holidays and bring back the “Merry” into Christmas, the “Happy” into Hanukkah, and “Joy” to our world!

My friend, take care of you this season…

You are the best gift you can give to anyone!

With Peace, Love, Happiness, Health, and Prosperity…

Rev. Jeanette

WOULD YOU BUY GAS FOR $9 A GALLON?

You thought $3 was a lot, didn't you? So why would anyone pay three times that price?

Well, they wouldn't . . . unless, of course, the $9 gas gave them 150 miles to the gallon.

No, I don't think it's available yet, but let's just say someone HAD invented such a blend . . .

. . . Suppose this mega-premium petrol got you five times your current mileage. If you were confident it could deliver and had no adverse effects on your car's engine, it would be a bargain, wouldn't it? You pay three times as much, but you get five times the mileage. That's what you call a good deal.

And that's the point. It's not how much something costs; it's how much it's WORTH!

One of my guest subscribers wrote yesterday and complimented me on all the great resources I've been sharing with my readers. He said he'd love to be a member, and get even more, but couldn't afford it. I think he might have been fishing for a complimentary membership.

And we've done that before—given away memberships as scholarships.

But my experience is that what's obtained too easily is esteemed too lightly. You have to have some "skin in the game". It's got to be WORTH it to you.

Maybe we haven't done our job well in telling this reader just how much he'd get as a member. Perhaps we haven't shown YOU.

You see, almost ANYBODY can get more value from being a member than what they invest--MUCH more, in fact. My business model is to deliver 5-10 times the value of what our members pay for ANYTHING they get from us--and that includes membership.

Our membership programs run from $17 a month to $497 a month. And with our new entrepreneurial membership launching later this year, there's a good fit for practically everyone. To see a list of the different membership levels, go to

http://SuccessNet.org/benefits/

By the way, if you order our 'Step Up to Success Course' right now, you get a complimentary 30-day trial membership. Full details on this 'Success 101' course are at

http://SuccessNet.org/stepup/

Learn exactly how to assure your success in all areas of your life. Position yourself for success with the 12-lesson Step Up to Success™ Course.

The membership includes hundreds of dollars worth of bonuses.

Anyway, back to cost vs. value . . .

Make sure you're not competing strictly on price. Place your focus on what your product is WORTH. Look at each of your products and services and make sure the value is there. If it's not, add the value in rather than reduce the price.

I've learned from experience that if people see you as having low prices, they don't expect much and they don't buy much.

Here at SuccessNet, we make big promises and work hard to over-deliver on them.

For instance, we promise to help our members earn more money, keep more of what they earn and make their life and business easier.

Do you see how simple that makes our decisions when it comes to the products and projects we consider? If it doesn't fulfill some or all of those promise, we don't do it.

I told someone recently that our target market is frustrated entrepreneurs. By that I mean small business owners who are tired of going it on their own. They want trusted information to make good decisions in their business. They want access to the latest resources. They want encouragement. And they want ideas to lift them above the day-to-day tasks in which we all become mired.

We certainly offer tactical and strategic advice, but by and large, we operate on proven principles and core concepts that help our members get clear, stay focused and consistently make progress in achieving their objectives.

How do you put a price on that? Frankly, I'm not always sure. But I do know that quite a few people find that the cost is much less than the value received.

We don't apologize for our prices. But if we had to, we would much rather apologize once for price than apologize for quality and value forever. Wouldn't you?

When you price YOUR product or service, make sure the value exceeds the price--regardless of your price point.

Remember, limited thinking people ask, "How much does it cost?" Successful people want to know how much it's worth. And that's a very important distinction indeed.

When you consider buying something, ask yourself what it's worth rather than what it costs. You'll find that it will serve you well.

Make it a great day.

Michael Angier

5.      Sir Froggie’s Pondering — from Sir Froggie

ARE YOU AT YOUR BEST —
OR YOUR BUSIEST?

Are you a super achiever?  Do you feel like you always have to be in motion?  Do you feel useless if you’re not getting things done?

Are you at your best – or your busiest?

So often we rush around from one thing to the next feeling like there’s no time to stop or even breathe.  We convince ourselves we must accomplish everything on our to-do list to be at the top of our game.  Then we end up on top of the doctor’s schedule from burn-out, hypertension and other stress related ailments.

Many of us live in workaholic environments and are taught that sitting still and relaxing are bad while working non-stop is the way to be a good person.  We’ve all heard the saying “idle hands are the devil’s workshop.”  But so are our fears of having to keep going all the time and putting work and our to-do list before our own self care.

Yes, it’s good to do our chores, show up for work on time, complete our assigned tasks and be responsible.  But we can’t give our best to any of those things if we’ve run ourselves ragged because we didn’t make time to take care of ourselves.

How well do you think with a migraine headache?   How pleasant are you to your coworkers when your stomach is churning and your neck and shoulders hurt like heck?   How creative are you when your intuition is blocked out from lack of sleep and static in your energy field from stress?   How quickly do you heal when your immune system is depleted?  The answer to all of the above is “not very!”   In fact, the only thing most of us are very of is busy!  And busy does not equate best!  Busy simply means busy.  That’s it.

Webster’s Dictionary defines busy as “actively employed; full of activity.”  Who doesn’t find themselves full of activity?!

The question we must stop and ask ourselves is “Which activities am I giving my precious time and attention to?”

Next it’s time to check if these activities are in alignment with our values.  For instance, if we say we value our family first and foremost, how much time do we spend with our family members versus how much time we spend working and getting other things done?   If we say we value our health, how much time and energy do we put into self care compared to our work and to-do list?

Ironically, when we slow down and eliminate the sense of “busy-ness” we find we actually accomplish more… both of what we value and the stuff we simply have to get done.  Not only do we accomplish more, but we do so with greater clarity and creativity.  And we might even find we enjoy ourselves again.

So stop for a minute.  Examine your daily routine.  What’s your schedule like? What are YOU like?  How do you feel throughout the day?

Are you at your best – or your busiest?
