Howdy Folks and Good Day!

Some of you have asked if we can hold your SFPNN’s while you’re on Christmas vacation.  I can’t personally put a hold on your issues but you can click on the link at the very bottom of any SFPNN and temporarily unsubscribe while you’re gone and then subscribe again when you get back.

Most likely it will not be necessary to unsubscribe because we’re taking a Christmas vacation, too!   SFPNN will not be distributed from December 15th 2007 – January 13th, 2008. We will return on January 14th, 2008.

* * *

Those of you who are into patterns and numbers may have noticed today’s date is 12/12.   Double numbers are often an indication to pay attention because the universe is trying to get a message through.  For those of you who are as curious as I was to the significance of the number 12, here’s what Doreen Virtue and Lynette Brown have to say in their book Angel Numbers

“Have faith that Spirit is speaking to you through repetitive thoughts, ideas, and insights that guide you to improve something in your life, or the life of others.  Allow your positive affirmations to lead the way.”

Now that’s a good message!  Especially this time of year.

It can be really easy to block out or ignore the guidance we get under the guise of being too busy, too tired, or not having enough time.  But when the Divine is trying to get our attention, no matter what excuses we give, the messages will keep coming!

Have you ever found yourself thinking you should do something but not acting on it right away?  The thought keeps coming back and you think to yourself, “OK, I really should do that.  I promise I’ll get around to it.”  Then out of the blue someone tells you to do the exact same thing you were thinking about!  And if that’s not enough, you see a commercial on TV about it, or get a coupon in the mail, or you find out there’s a class coming up on the very thing you wanted to do!

When God, the angels, or your soul want to get your attention, they’ll keep at you.  And if one way doesn’t work, they’ll try another.  It will be the same information even if it comes in very different forms.  Often when you do act as guided, they’ll even send you a “confirmation notice” in the form of another coincidence as if to say, “Now you’ve got it!”   And then, just as easily as it came, it will leave once you’ve done what you needed to.  That is, until the next prompting.

The next time you find yourself mulling something over and over – especially if it’s something for your highest good or to help others – pay attention.  Allow yourself to assume it’s from a Higher Power.  Picture yourself carrying it through and notice how it makes you feel.  What would happen if you followed this Divine Guidance?  How would it help you and others?  Can you act on it now?

Have faith that Spirit is speaking to you!

With Peace, Love, Happiness, Health, and Prosperity…

Rev. Jeanette

LISA VADEN RETURNS TO SFPNN!

It gives me great pleasure to announce that Lisa Vaden will be joining the SFPNN Featured Authors team again upon our return to regular distribution in January of 2008!

Some of you may recall Lisa’s column “Life Little Lessons.”  After taking some time off to work on her new book “God’s Whispers” and to more fully tune into the music of her soul, Lisa began her own newsletter.

Lisa will share her wisdom, faith, and love for humanity with us as they shine through in her weekly article My Song. Lisa hopes to get people thinking for themselves and to become consciously aware.  That is were the power is ~ in the present moment and within your own heart, mind and soul.

"What I want is for people to entertain ideas and to really decide for themselves what they need and what they don't need.   My Song can provide just that.  My motto ~ Take what you need and leave the rest."

Welcome back, Lisa!

CONGRATULATIONS, ASHLEY ZAPOT!

After a fun brain-storming session of what seemed like a mishmash of completely unrelated ideas, Ashley decided to enter a school writing contest.  Her story, simply entitled “Santa?!” won first prize and Ashley is being awarded $100.00!

Congratulations, Ashley!   WAY TO GO!!!!

When Ashley’s mom shared the story with me, I liked it so much a link to “Santa?!” will be featured in this Friday’s Special Edition: Christmas 2007 issue!

I highly recommend reading it!  Not only because Ashley is my niece but because the story is cleverly written and with the help of some willing family members, Ashley and her mom even added photographs to go with the narration.  It’s sure to bring a smile to your face.

Keep up the great work Ashley.  We’re really proud of you!

GET FEATURED ON THE NEW HGTV SERIES!

One of television’s top design teams wants YOU to be on their show!

“Design Club with Matt & Shari” is HGTV’s brand new series hosted by the duo that can do it all -- Matt Fox and Shari Hiller. This program will feature Matt, Shari and other top-notch HGTV design stars showing you their dynamic tips, tricks and projects.

Welcome to our new blog for Design Club with Matt & Shari.  Check it out!  Please feel free to get on and make comments such as..."I love Matt and Shari", "I'm so excited about this opportunity and am going to send videos AND photos today!", etc.

http://hgtvdesignclubwithmattandshari.blogspot.com/

We’re looking for people from all over the country to send in their design triumphs and dilemmas.

Design Dilemmas

Do you have a living area that needs help? Do you have a home improvement project that just didn’t turn out the way you had planned? Take a video of yourself in your room presenting your design problem. If your submission is selected, your video will appear on the program and Matt & Shari will offer you valuable advice on how to turn your design woe into design WOW!

Video Guidelines:

* Speak slowly, clearly and concisely.  State your name, where you are from and what you need Matt and Shari’s help with.

* Have your cameraman use a steady hand or a tripod.  Jerky movements or quick pans of the camera are no fun for the viewers to watch!

* Make sure the room you are in has plenty of light.  If we can’t see you, neither will the viewers at home.

* Look your best!  You want to look great for your 15 minutes of fame.  Don’t wear all black, all white, all red, or very busy patterns – the camera does not like those. Be upbeat.  SMILE AND HAVE FUN!

* Videos should be no longer than 30-seconds and should be submitted on Mini-DV or DVD ONLY!

* Please include a written note with your name, address, e-mail and phone number with your submission.

Send tapes to:

“Design Club with Matt & Shari”
Attn: Marisa Hill
4804 Laurel Canyon Blvd., #536
Valley Village, CA 91607

SFPNN’S EDITOR ATTAINS REIKI MASTERSHIP

It’s official folks!  After a year of training and working with clients as a Reiki “Practitioner” (Levels 1 and 2) I’m now a certified Reiki “Master”.

There are a lot of people who have been instrumental in this accomplishment and have truly enhanced the experience.  I am very grateful for all of them.

Much heart-felt gratitude goes to my mentors, teachers and Reiki Masters Susanne and David. Thanks also to my fellow class-mates Joanne, Jennifer and Judie, who are now gifted Reiki Masters themselves, for making the certification process such a special and healing experience.  (Congratulations y’all!)

Thanks, especially to my husband Mark for not only supporting me in this endeavor but for truly having faith in me. And for celebrating this accomplishment with me.

Thanks also to my friend Mark L. who encouraged me to “trust my intuition” and NOT to go with the first Reiki instructor I was introduced to.  God and my angels had much better teachers in store for me!

Thank you to all the folks who trusted me to channel the Divine Love and Light of Reiki and its healing affects to you.

This is a truly special accomplishment as it has helped to open my ability to provide God’s healing in even greater measure.  I know it will help others in a divinely directed way and that’s an incredible feeling!

Thanks, G.!

6.      Wednesday WORD — by Diane, The California Dreamer

THE GIFT OF YOURSELF

My article last week generated many to write. It seems I hit a note that resonated with a lot of people who got caught up in the busyness of the holidays and forgot their true meaning over the years.

Some said they wised up and have lightened up on themselves.  Several asked if I was witting about them.  What this told me is that so many of us get wrapped up in doing, being and having more.  Not to mention trying to control how things will turn out.

It took me years to figure out I can't control how others spend their holidays or what they do or don't do.  Heck, I could barely control my own life and immediate surroundings.  When I really figured it out, the pressure was off of me and I could relax and enjoy my holidays.

This year I have decided that I need to remember to be kind, tolerant, understanding and most important… just be myself.  Who I am is more than enough.

Take a few minutes to reflect on your current holiday schedule, see if you are spreading yourself too thin to please others.  Then figure out what you can excuse yourself from and spend more quality time with those who are important to you.

I invite you to do an experiment.  Be aware of your moods and behavior towards others. Are you being loving, kind and tolerant? When you find that you aren't being that way, change your behavior and notice how much better you feel and how much better others respond to you.

I have been more aware of my actions, and oddly, I notice when others are not being that way with me and I don't take it personally.  It seems that we are all more stressed and pressured with the holidays. I have also noticed when I am kind and tolerant, others naturally respond to me in the same way.

Give the gift of yourself and your time this year.  Give to others those gifts money can't buy and that you yourself desire.  You'll find that you'll get it back tenfold.

Sending you and yours love, and wishes for a safe and happy holiday season!
