Howdy Folks and Good Day!

So often we hear all about the “bad stuff” going on and how things just don’t go right in the world.  Yet there are millions and billions of good, caring, kind, generous, and decent people on this planet who simply go about living their lives with no fame or fanfare.  I bet YOU are one of them!

One of our objectives at Sir Froggie’s Positive News Network is to shift our focus to the positive things in life.  I truly believe the positive far outweighs the negative.  It’s just a matter of perspective.  If one wears dark sunglasses all the time, the world will always appear dark.  But take off those dark glasses and let your eyes adjust to the Light and you will be amazed at the brightness you see and the clarity which presents itself.

SFPNN has many features to help us shift our focus.  The one I’d like to point out today is our Kindness Suggestion.

The Kindness Suggestion can be found is most Friday issues of SFPNN.  And we have entire collections of Kindness Suggestions dating back to 2000 on our website!  That’s a lot of Kindness!

Either go to www.sfpnn.com and click the Kindness Suggestion button or you can add the following link to your favorites:

http://www.sfpnn.com/kindness_suggestion.htm

Of course, you can always connect to our archives through the link found with the Kindness Suggestion in each Friday’s issue of SFPNN.

The Kindness Suggestion is pretty self explanatory… It gives us ways to bring more Kindness to the world.   Some of our suggestions are things that have been passed around the internet – you know the ones, they make you smile and feel warm and fuzzy inside.  And some of them are specific requests for your help through an act of kindness, such as today’s request from 11th Hour Rescue.

But most Kindness Suggestions are experiences and ideas from our readers… Things they have done to bring a little more joy, love, or compassion into someone’s life.  Some of our Kindness Suggestions are even acts of kindness that someone else did for our readers.  It’s absolutely wonderful to be on the receiving end of kindness!

I personally invite you to share your Kindness Suggestions with us.  And if someone’s done something kind for you lately, no matter how large or small, tell us about it!   E-mail:  Kindness Suggestion .

There really is so much good in the world.  We just tend to take it for granted because it’s often easier to overlook the good things. You know the saying: the squeaky wheel gets the grease.  But let’s not forget about the person who was kind enough to provide the WD-40!

Have a wonderful day!

With Peace, Love, Happiness, Health, and Prosperity…

Rev. Jeanette

1.      Happy Birthday, Alyssa P.!

May you always have Divine perspective of yourself and others and let your faith guide you through life’s adventures!

2.      What kind of day will today be?

The kind of day we make it!

A little pro-active positive programming can go a long way in creating our heart’s desires.  All of our thoughts have energy.  Energy attracts like energy.  Think about your desires for today. What would you like to experience in the next 24 hours?   Allow yourself to see it manifesting in your mind’s eye and feel it happening in your body so the energy of your thoughts and emotions draws it to you. Affirm it on the lines below!

Today, I desire and experience…

An Art Thief in Paris

A thief in Paris planned to steal some paintings from the Louvre.

After careful planning, he got past security, stole the paintings and made it safely to his van.  However, he was captured only two blocks away when his van ran out of gas.

When asked how he could mastermind such a crime and the make such an obvious error, he replied, "Monsier, dat is the reason I stole the paintings. I had no Monet to buy Degas to make the Van Gogh"

See if you have De Gaulle to send this on to someone else.   I sent it to you because I figured I had nothing Toulouse.

5.      For a Good Laugh, Check out Tom R. Oh!

It started so simple, so innocently… Tom fulfilled a promise to write the stories he said he would tell. A man, two dogs and a forlorn tree… Who could have known it would turn into the intriguing series known as "The Christmas Tree Chronicles." Don't be fooled by the name, these twisted tales take you year round!

It doesn't stop there, though. Tom R. Oh is one of SFPNN's most prolific writers with a style uniquely his own and several mini series in the making.

HELP 11TH HOUR RESCUE WIN GRANT, SAVE LIVES

11th Hour Rescue has signed a lease on a kennel which would allow us to save more lives of innocent animals on death row.  We focus on saving wonderful, highly adoptable dogs from kill shelters and we are a 501c3 organization so donations are tax deductible.

We are once again participating in a challenge being offered by Six Degrees, partnered with the Case Foundation and Parade on America's Giving Challenge. The eight charity badges that have the most unique donors through the America's Giving Challenge will receive a $50,000 grant for their cause.  The winner of the grant is determined by the number of people who donate.  Please consider making a $10 donation.

We are currently in first place, and we hope to stay there!

Winning America's Giving Challenge will be nothing short of a miracle for these animals, and your contribution will help us tremendously. Sad and hopeless eyes are what we see every day.  Together we can bring hope and change their lives for the better.

From what we get, we can make a living: what we give, however, makes a life.   -- Arthur Ashe

The Challenge ends on January 31, 2008 at 3:00 pm eastern time so please USE THIS LINK and look for the orange "DONATE" button. So many more lives could be saved with this grant!  Proceeds will also go towards our new kennelThank you in advance for any help you can give us and our rescued fur kids.

7.      TAKE THE SFPNN KINDNESS CHALLENGE!

Living through the words of Gandhi, we must be the change we want to see in the world.  We must also acknowledge those who are in the act of creating those changes.   Therefore, we have two challenges for you.

Kindness Challenge # 1:  Do something kind today and every day.   It doesn’t have to be of earth-shattering proportions to make a positive difference.  Simply saying “Thank You” or letting someone know they’re appreciated can have a tremendous impact.   Find little ways to be kind and to make our world a kinder place.  And feel free to tell us about your kind act!

E-mail: “KINDNESS

Kindness Challenge # 2:  Share something kind someone has done for you!   People are kind to us in a myriad of ways on a daily basis.  But we often overlook their kindness.  Become aware of acts of kindness and acknowledge the person performing them.  Then share their kind gesture with SFPNN.

E-mail: “KINDNESS

8.      Moments of Joy — From Joy Hart

This is the attitude I aspire to today and everyday.

May I be willing

May I be willing to let my being
Shine all it wants through me.
As I go about, living my life,
May I let love shine bright.
Into the hearts of everyone I meet
To whatever degree they allow.
Because I know that there is no limit
To the love we can share.
So let me shine Your love,
Wherever I go;
My willingness is all I have.
May I be willing to let my being
Shine all it wants through me.

Happy New Year!  Did you make any new year’s resolutions?  Are you still on track with them or like a friend of mine who has already broken them and           re-resolved four times?  She usually quits resolving before the end of February.

Or are you like me, I don’t even make any resolutions because I don’t like the feeling of failure when I would break them.

I have more hope for my future after Patricia’s wonderful ideas; and you will too.

Patricia Wright, the author of today’s link, has given me that HOPE, we have a whole new way to look at the changes we would like to make in our lives.  She says, “I believe we lose the battle with change because we are looking in the wrong direction.”  And I am all for looking in new directions if it means I can really create the changes in my life I want.  So please take a look in Patricia’s direction by clicking on the link above and let her inspire you to live those changes you want.

For 2008 I wish you more trust in yourself.

P.S. I was also inspired about my dreams and expectations by the description of her book “The Sequoia Seed: Remember The Truth Of Who You Are” [The name even makes me feel good, ‘the truth of who I am, Hmmm].  If you’d like to read a little about this book just click on the Products Link on the left of the page.
