Howdy Folks and Good Day!
Yesterday’s coverage of “Super Tuesday” in the
Life is an interesting balance. It seems we spend half of our lives trying to stabilize things and the other half trying to change them! When we want change it’s often because we feel stuck; when we want to sit back to enjoy things just as they are, that’s when the unexpected inevitably happens.
I’m a firm believer in examining one’s life as well as oneself. When we have a good sense of who we are, what matters to us, what we value, and what brings us true comfort, joy and peace, it’s easier to stay on our path – even when the detours come up. Fill ‘er up with love, hope, and faith and there’s nothing we can’t handle.
That’s not to say we won’t be challenged or have days which bring us to our knees, but our knees are a good place to pray from. So are our heart, mind, and soul. Come to think of it, we can pray from just about anywhere. . . both when we feel up and during the times we get knocked down.
Some days we feel so bowled over it seems impossible to pick ourselves up again. Hope diminishes. Faith gets shaken big time. We ask ourselves “why?” as we search for answers when there really is no valid answer to pull us through. That’s when we feel like giving up and giving in. It’s in these moments of despair we knowingly or unknowingly give it to God. This is what we call surrender.
A funny thing happens when we surrender… A shift takes place. Because we’ve let go of our struggles and have given them up to God, we open to new possibilities, new outcomes. We open ourselves to change and better circumstances which were previously unavailable suddenly present themselves.
And through all the changes, a new sense of peace and stability emerges.
Enjoy these precious moments.
Embrace both the changes and the foundations of your faith where you are right now. Find your balance and know there’s a Higher Power working on things for you.
With Peace, Love, Happiness, Health, and Prosperity…
Rev. Jeanette

My Song — by Lisa Vaden
Sharing…
Well,
since we last spoke about journaling…I figure I might as well introduce you to
my new writing style. My writing style will be more like journal writing
versus straight out article writing.
I
have found that sharing with others by “walking it out” is often more
powerful. Lead by example. That is one of my many mottos.
So
without further ado, we hit the rewind button and pick up where my story began
this year…
Journal
Entry for
Happy
New Year Lisa!
Right
now I am a little bit unsettled. Ok, scared is more like it. Scared
about what this New Year holds. Scared because I know that things are gonna change.
It’s
not scared like the keep you stuck, afraid to move forward scared.
It’s
more like the scared that’s thrilled out of your mind scared because I want
things to change and I am ready. I am scared because I am smart enough to
know that with new choices come new experiences. And new experiences come
only by way of stepping into the unknown and walking it out until it becomes
known.
And,
um, I am not too proud to admit that with that comes a bit of fear. But
it is a healthy fear. It helps me slow down and not rush the
process. Because God knows there are gonna be
times that I will go charging forward in unstoppable mode once I get a handle
on my fears.
But
even then, I hope fear or wisdom, or better both, jump in my way so I can milk
every precious moment for all that it is worth. Being
present. I am thinking that’s my main goal for the New Year.
Being present for all of it.
I
might be scared ~ but I sure as shooting love life ~ all of it!
Some
things that help me get centered when feeling unsettled are:
* Writing/Journaling ~ Check. Done.
* Giving ~ Check. Done. Hooked someone up with a pretty snazzy New
Year’s gift if I do say so myself. Thank God she accepted it. She’s
gonna love this
* Get Physical ~ Check. Going to do that now. I wanna
help my sister clean her house getting her set for the New Year as well.
Plus I gotta work off some of this nervous energy!
Happy
New Year Lisa!
Until
next time,
Lisa
PS ~
A great book that will help you is my book May I Have This Dance, Little
One? God’s Whispers. It is not what you
think. It is not religious. I don’t care if you “believe” or “don’t
believe”…in fact, I don’t care what you believe. The only thing that I care
about is that you BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! And this book can help.
My
friends ~ May you confront your fears in whatever manner works for you.
May you never settle, and always work on creating the life that you know
you are meant to live.

Wednesday WORD — by Diane, The
SELF AWARENESS
"I
think self-awareness is probably the most important thing towards being a
champion."
--- Billy Jean King
I believe this quote ties nicely into my theme of
"Creating a Life Worth Living." In order to
create our life, we need to be aware of what it is we consider part of such a
life. Being a champion of our own life
is certainly what we all desire to be.
I have been taking a class at church on Gary Zukav's new book Soul to Soul. This book is such an eye opener and gives many suggestions on becoming self-aware. I am finding out how much being self aware affects our daily lives. If I am not aware of my thoughts, feelings, actions and behaviors, that usually means I am on auto pilot.
When we aren't being mindful we are not in the
present moment and miss out on so much.
I recently discovered there is such a huge connection
between what I am feeling or a feeling that I might have and the thought that
produces that feeling. How emotions tie
in with this also has been a huge eye opener to my personal self awareness.
Sometimes, self awareness doesn't look or feel too good. I am forced to look at myself and make changes.
It takes guts to be honest with ourselves and figure
out what isn't working in our life. It
also takes guts to pat our self on the back when we do a good job or see the
positive aspects of our self.
A huge part of this self awareness for me is I have
become very aware of the words I am speaking, the labels and judgments I place
on others, and how the law of attraction ties in with this.
Creating a life worth living involves knowing what it
is I like, what is important and staying in the present moment. This isn't an easy thing to do 24/7. Often, I need to remember or be reminded to
stay in the present.
How is your self awareness? Can you say that you are
the champion of your life? Are you ready to create that life worth living?
