Howdy Folks and Good Day!
Yesterday we talked about using signs as reflection
of what we’re focused on and dealing with in life rather than a road map to the
future. Our thoughts and feelings emit
energy, this energy attracts things with similar energy and they manifest in
our life.
I used the example of light bulbs burning out when I’m
personally getting burned out. So I had
to laugh when between the time I went to bed last
night and ate breakfast at
You see, I’m actually bouncing back from being burned out. This time, however, the bulbs burning out were a reflection of my focus on them by sharing this phenomenon with you. Recognizing this is an important distinction of using signs. Had I not been aware of my thoughts, I might have believed “Oh no! I’m getting burned out again.” But I know I’m not. I’m kicking into high self care mode and feeling better than I have in the past few weeks. Why then, would all these bulbs suddenly burn out? Because that’s what my thoughts were focused on by writing about it in SFPNN. The bulbs burning out were merely a manifestation of the thoughts I shared with you.
Signs literally are manifestations of our thoughts and moods.
They are our mirrors. They help us become aware of what we think, believe and feel. They can help us learn, grow, and make better choices.
There are many benefits of becoming more aware of what we think, believe and feel.
For one, if we know our inner thoughts create our outer world, then discover we are not happy with our current external circumstances, we realize there are some internal changes to make! It’s much easier to effect change within ourselves than on external physical matter. (Including other people!) Then, as we change our inner thoughts, feelings and beliefs to what we desire, those changes begin to manifest externally in our lives because of the law of attraction.
Another benefit of awareness is that we get more proficient at creating what we want.
Try to think of our thoughts, feelings and beliefs as a ship. When we’re not aware of them, they store up, get blocked, and grow bigger and bulkier. When we want to take action or change things, we have a whole lot of ship to deal with and turn around! And turning around some big ship isn’t easy!
But when we’re aware of our thoughts, feelings and beliefs, they flow smoothly, effortlessly, out in the direction we send them just like a beautiful sailboat. When they are clear and concise the wind fills their billows and carries them to our destination. It’s easy to direct and navigate because there’s less ship to deal with and we get to ride the currents of their focused energy. The more aware we become the easier it is to navigate and manifest what we desire! Sometimes instantly!
A word to the wise: The better we get at manifesting, the more instantly things do appear in our lives -- both with the positive and the negative. Awareness can help keep us on track as signs reflect back to us whether what we’re thinking is working for us or against us. This can save a whole lot of time and effort because we can adapt more quickly when needed, changing what isn’t in our favor and continuing to do more of that which supports us.
What is the world telling you today?
Can you see how things around you are reflecting back what’s within you?
What do you desire to create in your life? Really focus in on it. Feel it. Know it with every cell of your being. Believe in yourself and your ability to manifest your desires. Watch for signs that things are shifting in your favor.
And have a truly GREAT day!
With Peace, Love, Happiness, Health, and Prosperity…
Rev. Jeanette

A little pro-active positive programming can go a long way
in creating our heart’s desires. All of
our thoughts have energy. Energy

mind’s eye and feel it happening in your body so the energy of your thoughts

We
There
is a saying going around that goes something like this: On the day you
were born you were given a sweetheart for the rest of your life. Do you
know who it is?
It
is yourself!
This
sums up a profound truth. Of course we are all hopeful and desirous of a
special partner in our lives and many other people to love over a lifetime.
But the truth is we need to be able to nourish, nurture and enjoy
ourselves. If we don't, we will not be in condition for the adventures,
efforts and commitments involved in joining up with others. Also, if we
don't like ourselves, why would someone else like us?
Think
about these things as you take more interest in recognizing your own special
talents, interests, coping skills and untapped potential! Have fun
getting to know a very special person.

A Weekly Column
By
A
There are two subjects that I have conscientiously tried to avoid through 18 years of writing this column. It isn’t that I didn’t think you could handle a frank discussion on these maters. It was that I just couldn’t find the words.
But the time has come to talk about them both. Boldly. So here goes. It’s time to talk about . . . I can’t believe I’m doing this . . . it’s time to talk about . . . math. And science.
Together. At the same time.
I know. It’s scary, awkward and uncomfortable to get into this stuff in a newspaper column, especially one that is written by someone who doesn’t know an integer from a proton from a mango (you mean there’s a difference?). But there is just no way to talk about Leap Year without at least mentioning the mathematics and the science involved.
So OK. Remember back in grade school, when they taught you about how the earth rotates on its axis and revolves around the sun? Back in those days they told you that it takes about 24 hours (a full day) for the earth to rotate once, and about 365 days – or a year – to complete one complete revolution around the sun. Well, they lied. It actually takes 365 days and about six hours to make the complete revolution, so every four years they have to add an extra day to the calendar – February 29 – to make up the difference. Otherwise the seasons would drift over time and eventually we’d be celebrating Christmas in the middle of the summer – which, come to think of it, is how it works in Australia, but they play a lot of rugby down there and bang their heads together so often in scrums and such that they don’t really notice.
Now, here’s where the math starts to get tricky. You notice that I said that it takes 365 days and “about” six hours to make the complete revolution around the sun. The actual number is 365 days, five hours, 49 minutes and 12 seconds. That means that in about 8,000 years we’ll be off by another day. Some scientists are proposing that the year 4000 A.D. NOT be considered a leap year in order to compensate, while others suggest that the length of the vernal equinox will probably change by then so the adjustment may not be necessary. And then there are the global warming folks who insist that if we don’t make the necessary changes in our carbon footprinting of this planet we will have burned to a crisp by then, so who really cares?
Still, if you’re making plans
for
None of which changes the fact that you have an extra day this year.
Think about that for a second: an extra day! Twenty-four hours that you didn’t have last year, or the year before that. It’s like finding a 20 dollar bill in your pants pocket. Suddenly you’re rich, and your mind swims with the possibilities for spending this unforeseen bounty.
The last time I lucked into extra cash in my pocket I blew it by ordering biggie sizes at the fast food restaurant instead of ordering from the extra value menu. What a waste (and, come to think of it, waist). Instead of strategically planning the best ways to take full advantage of my good fortune I spent it whimsically, and before long it was just gone, and I only had greasy fingers and through-the-roof cholesterol to show for it.
Is that what we will do with this gift of an extra day in 2008? Will we just blow it, or will we accept it as a gift and make a plan to spend it wisely? Make it a day of service. A day of caring. A day to give back to your community, your neighborhood, your church or your school.
Or perhaps it can be that mythical, magical “someday” when you do all those things you’ve been meaning to do but put off until you had the time. You have the time on Feb. 29 – 24 hours that you didn’t have last year, and you won’t have next year. So write those letters you’ve been meaning to write. Visit that elderly aunt. Take the kids bowling. Clean the basement.
OK, forget that last one. Surely you can think of a better way to spend your extra day than that. But whatever you do, spend it well. Make it special. It is, after all, a gift.
And how often do you get a gift from science and math?
