Howdy Folks and Good Day!
I’ve got a question and a small but very important favor to ask. (Don’t worry, it
doesn’t involve a lot of time, money or taxes!
Ha, ha, ha!)
Here it goes:
Has SFPNN helped you or made
a positive impact in your life in any way?
If it has, could you please drop me a quick e-mail by replying to today’s issue to share how?
You see, in reflecting on recent events and things that are
approaching, I realized that Thursday marks
I’m flabbergasted!
When I set out to send one good thing a day to about 30 e-mail friends I had no idea it would turn into a globally distributed e-zine with at least eight featured authors and many guest authors. Yet I remember the night I made the commitment. I could FEEL something was about to change.
I clearly remember telling my husband Mark, “I don’t know why, but I get the feeling my one-good-thing-a-day commitment is A LOT bigger than I know. I can’t even imagine what could possibly come of it! But I’ve got that FEELING there’s more to it than meets the eye.”
Mark, knowing me quite well by then –
especially when I get
Little did I know I’d still be doing it ten years later. Or that God would send such incredible people to our Positive News Network to make it what it is today. I certainly couldn’t do it without them. Or without you! So thanks to everyone involved.
With all the lessons learned, and all the miraculous experiences, it’s still good to get confirmation that it’s worth continuing! Especially with everything required behind the scenes… from operating expenses to the technicalities of website programming and maintenance to e-mail distribution and most importantly, the time, energy and wisdom all of our authors give so generously!
So if you’ve got a story to share or positive feedback for any of our
authors, please send it in by Wednesday afternoon!
I would really love to be able to share your comments on Thursday morning for our 10 Year Anniversary. I couldn’t think of a more positive way to celebrate!
From the depths of my heart, THANK YOU!
With Peace, Love, Happiness, Health, and Prosperity…
Rev. Jeanette

Have
YOU Experienced Soul Magic?
Miracles happen every day in every way. Those amazing things, big and small, which touch our heart and soul can seem absolutely magical. They often leave us with a profound feeling which goes beyond anything we can explain with logic. Sometimes they change us for just a brief moment, filling us to overflowing with awe and wonder, gratitude, a sense of connection to something bigger, or even renewed faith. Other times they are literally life changing.
As the editor of SFPNN, I personally invite you to share your Soul Magic experiences with us.
You don't have to be a professional writer, just talk into the page and tell us your story! E-mail: SOUL MAGIC

Hallelujah,
Thine the Glory!
by Rev. Charles Stanley, Retired
For the very few of you who may not know, my mother enjoyed her long anticipated "Homecoming" just five days before her 90th birthday. My beloved Holy Spirit has used the circumstances of her glorious passing to raise me to a new plateau of spiritual awareness. He has made His presence known in such striking ways that, even in the hospital, during the process of awaiting her release from the flesh, the doctors and nurses clearly saw the evidence of His presence.
One of the warmest of "warm fuzzies" that will live with the first two generations of his family for the rest of our lives, involves the fact that my Daddy smoked "Half & Half" pipe tobacco all of his adult life. Just walking down the street or into a room where the sweet aroma of it lingers, triggers a flood of childhood memories for all of us. My Daddy went "Home" fifteen years ago.
Two nights before Momma slipped quietly away, I was sitting in my bedroom, watching TV when, all of a sudden, the entire room was filled with the sweet aroma of Half & Half tobacco. I didn't understand it, I didn't know its meaning, all I knew was that it was as real as anything I have ever experienced during 70 years of life.
Two days later, my daughter, Stephanie, was standing at Mom's bedside, leaning over holding Mom's hand and gently stroking her cheek. Her face was just inches from Mom's as she told Mom, "Nanna, you've hurt more than enough now. It is time to relax and let go to be with all of your family who are waiting for you." At that moment I heard Stephanie say, "It just happened." Later she told me, "Daddy, I've never seen anything like it. Her skin was blue-gray and all of a sudden it changed to ivory and then, for just an instant, her skin glowed from the inside and she was gone. It was beautiful!"
It was not until a few days later that I realized that my Daddy had let me know, by the most undeniable possible sign of his presence, that he had come to escort my Momma home.
When I was a boy and later when Momma and Daddy's grand-children were small, Daddy had a grape arbor by the house. It was loaded with the Bronze Scuppernongs that had been Momma's favorite since her childhood.
Momma's favorite flower was Lilac. Some time back, Momma and Stephie had a conversation during which they agreed that, when Momma finally got "home" and settled in, if she wanted to let Stephie know that she was there and okay, she would arrange for Stephie to smell Lilacs. Stephie insisted, "Or feel a good swift kick in my bum."
Now, to tie these together. A few nights after Momma's passing, Stephie was sitting in her bedroom, working at her computer, when she started to experience a taste in her mouth. She said that it was slowly intensifying, triggering a flood of childhood memories. Suddenly she realized that it was the sweet taste of Bronze Scuppernong grapes. She said that she could not help but smile as she said, "I love you too Nanna."

Praise Him every breath I take from birth until I die.
The instant I hit the "8" in the date, Momma whispered, "Look at the date you just recorded. Nine months before your birth in 1938."
I just had to share this with those I love!!

Feathered Trust
by Michael T. Smith
Our home filled with the heavenly scent of fresh-baked bread. Outside, snow covered the ground. Several birds gathered in the bush behind our house for protection from the frigid wind. I cut the first slice from the warm loaf, placed it on a plate, and gathered the crumbs from the counter.
I was about to throw the crumbs in the garbage, but remembered the birds. I slid the patio door open and tossed the crumbs to the base of the bush. As soon as I closed the door, the birds flew to the ground and devoured the still warm bread.
It became a habit – when I sliced bread, the birds got the crumbs. More birds began to hang around. Ginny and I decided to get a bird feeder. The day after we set it up, our backyard was filled with more than a hundred sparrows, a few grackles, a pair of cardinals, and a variety of other birds.
We loved to stand by our patio doors and watch them feed. At first they were shy. They’d fly from the bush to the feeder and back again – afraid to be out in the open. If Ginny or I walked out on our deck, they’d all fly away. A few weeks after we put the feeder out, they learned to trust us, and only fly to the far side of the bush. They’d wait for us to leave before returning to feed.
It was the same when I filled the feeder. At first they flew away. Now only a few fly away. The rest stay and watch me. I move slowly and try not to startle them. Through patience and perseverance, I’ve gained their trust.
We live close to the
Your family is a team. You’re part of a team at work and in sports. Towns, villages and cities are teams. Countries are bigger teams. The earth is one huge team of humanity. If we apply ourselves as the birds do, our teams will succeed in protecting its members.
For this to happen, each member of your team has to trust the others. It took time, persistence, and patience, but the birds learned to trust me. It will take the same for your team to succeed. If it works for the birds, it will work for all of us.

God Given Daisies — by
THERE
I am in a stage where on a
daily basis I meet a lot of people, and when I am alone, I write.
I write letters, send cards,
write grants and proposals, and sometimes just write words, phrases and quotes. When I feel I am unable to do anything else,
I write. It makes me feel somewhat productive.
Through my writing, I have met some wonderful people and many doors have been opened to me.
In fact, just a note to a lady
having had seizures and not being able to get her pilot's
license led me to six years of writing God Given Daisies for SFPNN. In one of
my e-mail notes to her I said "That she will fly higher with the Angels
and in her work for God than she ever could in a plane." Hmmmm…
What does this all have to do
with ordinary people?
Well, some people may consider
themselves ordinary people. But, when they receive a note of "Thanks"
for taking the time to give extra service or for a job well done, they feel a
little extraordinary. That feeling makes
them want to pass that on to others.
Sending notes and little cards,
or visiting an elderly person makes them feel special. In return, their praises make the sender feel
special.
Recently I wrote a note to a
poet telling her how moved I was by her poem. She wrote back thanking me for my
kind words and she told me to look at other poems that she wrote that were now
on a CD with music and photos.
It was about "A Day
in the Life of a Soldier... " It was moving, soul searching and
beautiful. I wrote to her again saying that I represented a military art museum
that was now in negotiation to open a Museum
Honoring All Heroes. Those in the military, coast guard, firemen,
policemen, and other rescue workers will all be honored. She gave me the rights to use this CD or
Amazing, that
strangers would trust me with their work. She also said that she read
some of my stories.
Some stories in God Given
Daisies have traveled the globe and have taken on a life of their own. I get
e-mails from
Today's message for you is:
"There are no ordinary people in this world."
"Everyone is truly unique."
"Each one of us has a
purpose."
"Each one of us, touched
by God, can accomplish extraordinary things."
