Howdy Folks and Good Day!

THANK YOU FOR JOINING US FOR SFPNN’S 10TH ANNIVERSARY!!!!

PLEASE NOTE: Today’s issue is going to be A LOT longer than usual!

I’m ecstatic to be able to share all of the positive feedback you sent in.  And I’m in absolute awe and wonder at the kindness, love, and encouragement in your letters. THANK YOU.

If you have the time, I hope you’ll read all the feedback below in addition to the “normal” portion of today’s issue.  Each person’s experiences are unique.  And the time and effort they took to write in is truly a gift to the soul for which I am humble with gratitude.

Before we begin, I’d also like to personally thank all the authors who contribute their work to SFPNN, especially our Featured Authors who have committed their time, effort, creativity and wisdom on a regular basis – all without pay.  This is especially important to me because without them, there would not be a Sir Froggie’s Positive News Network.

I’ve met a few folks who actually didn’t realize I’m not the only one writing the articles for our e-zine.  I guess when skimming through and just going for the meat of the story, it’s easy to overlook who the author is.  Today, I would like to recognize each of our Featured Authors, as well as to say thank you to all our past Featured Authors who have moved on. And heart-felt thanks also goes to all of our guest authors such as Ellie Braun-Haley, Marshall Hart, Michael T. Smith, Nancy L., Rosvita and Joan W. Anderson, just to name a few.  I truly apologize for not being able to list you all but please do know I am most grateful for the privilege of sharing your stories.

And of course, I thank YOU, our loyal readers.  Some of you were part of the original 30 people I pledged to mail one good thing a day to!  It’s because of you we keep going – and growing!

Now if you don’t mind, I have a few words for each of our Featured Authors:

Aunt Bette: Not only do you contribute the Link of the Week, you give your love, encouragement and support to ALL of our authors, including me.  Thank you.

Dr. Barbara:  You’ve gifted us with your professional expertise, your personal stories, and a world of enchantment.  Thank you for your pioneering work in positive psychology and helping all of us find the best in ourselves.  You have truly made a difference.

Carole: You’ve taught us the lessons of faith through your own real life miracles which included everything from an incredible healing to your very own God Given Daisies.  You’ve shown us that ordinary people can do extraordinary things.  Thank you.

Diane:  Talk about the power of positive thinking being transformational!  As they say, “You’ve come a long way, Baby!”  It’s been an honor and a privilege to watch you evolve over the past few years – both as a friend and as an author.  Thank you for finding the courage to dream and follow those dreams.

Joseph:  One of our very first Featured Authors, your stories, insights and unique sense of humor have been a source of inspiration since we first began.  Thank you for your example of “just writing what you feel.”  I’ve been able to find my own authentic voice – and Sir Froggie’s – as a result of letting go of the rules and writing from the heart.  Did I mention you’re an editor’s dream come true?  In the past 10 years I’ve found 3 typos in your articles; less than the number I find in my own work in a week’s time.  Thank you for your gracious contributions and your professional encouragement.

Joy:  I couldn’t think of a more fitting name for you.  Your songs – and your Spirit -- bring joy, love, compassion, glory and faith to our world.  They open us up, make us think, and provide an inspiring source of possibilities.  Thank you for the joyful gifts you bring alive through your words and voice.  Even in the most challenging times of your life, you always have a smile for those in need.

Lisa:  Your straight-forward faith-filled approach makes me excited about life.  You have blessed us in so many ways… as an author, a “cheer-leader” when we need encouraging, a personal friend, and even financially when we were struggling to keep SFPNN afloat.  Thank you.

Michael:  Your sound business advice and professional tips on achieving are invaluable.  Thank you for being a grounding and inspiring force in our little e-zine.  You truly lead by example and know the path to Success.

Patty: Welcome aboard. Although you are our newest author, you’ve already shown an incredible level of professionalism, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn and grow.  Your insights, adventures, and travel strategies coupled with your beautiful photos and helpful resources, are a wonderful addition to SFPNN.  Thank you.

Tom:  Although your work has mainly been featured on our website only, you are one of our most prolific authors.  Your unique sense of humor, satire and writing style could give Douglas Adams, Mel Brooks and several others a run for the money.  Thank you for sharing your adventures with us and honoring Fay by keeping your promise. Keep writing, my friend, keep writing.

Sir Froggie:  I don’t know whether to call you a creative expression, power animal, spirit guide, figment of my imagination or an altered ego, but I’m grateful you showed up in my life and for the adventures we’ve been on together.  It’s been through you I’ve been able to share the love, wisdom and joy of a Higher Power and reach out to the world to create more positivity.  Thank you.

And last but certainly not least by any means…

Mark:  My dear husband, soul mate, and friend for 21 years now.  Words cannot express how grateful I am for you in my life.  Or the appreciation I have for you not questioning why I’ve been guided to do SFPNN for the past 10 years, without profit -- and your willingness to foot the bill!  For the love, encouragement, support and understanding (even when things don’t seem comprehensible), thank you.  I LOVE YOU…

If you’ve stuck with us this far, you may be surprised to realize how many people truly make SFPNN possible.  There are so many more I couldn’t mention in this space but for each one I am grateful.  Grateful and amazed at how God has coordinated all of us together on parallel paths with a mission to bring more positive energy (love) to the world.  And I’m amazed at how many of you He’s brought to join Sir Froggie’s Positive News Network. We do not advertise or list our website with search engines so our growth has been primarily word of mouth!  Thank you and please keep spreading the word!

There’s so much more to come as individual readers share what SFPNN means to them.  For each of you who took the time to write, I am tremendously grateful.  As I read your feedback, I was literally overcome with tears of joy, love, and awe that so many of you would go the distance to let us know how much you appreciate what we’re doing.  THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart and soul and every particle of my being!

With Peace, Love, Happiness, Health, Prosperity and tremendous Gratitude,

Rev. Jeanette

Here are the letters from our readers:

Hi Sweetheart!

First, let me tell you how proud of you I am for growing your one positive thought a day into SFPNN!

Though I don’t read it daily, I still reap the benefits of your positive outlook and the many wonderful people you interact with on a daily basis through SFPNN.  Whenever I do read it, there is always something (usually several things) that helps me feel better about myself or life in general.

In short, Thank You, and keep up the good work.

I Love YOU!

Mark

First of all, I can't believe I've been reading SFPNN for 10 years!!!!!

I can't think of one particular thing that I can remember (after all I'm 10 years older, too), that has made a specific change in my life.  However, I know there have been items I've printed off from time to time to help me keep a positive attitude or to bring a smile to my day.

The one thing I do know is that, by shear happenstance, I met a remarkable young woman with an infectious upbeat attitude that she was willing to share with anyone who needed her.  That, in itself, has made a huge change in my life.  They say "If you do what you love, you will never have to work a day in your life."  I know you love what you do because you do it well.  My Mother used to say, "We all enjoy doing what we do well."

Here's to your continued success. Congratulations on your 10th Anniversary!

--- Wanni Spence, VA

Your daily email has been a joyous reminder of the synergy; connectedness that we are surrounded by.  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve opened my daily inspirational email from you to find just exactly what was the perfect thing for me to hear on that day. Your personal notes mean that we ALL (Humans) have our thoughts to quiet and a more spacious place to go for peace. You have helped me get to that place many times and I am grateful.

I hope to schedule a call with you sometime; it is something I look forward to!

 --- Stacy

Thank you for making Positive News fun and easy to receive and participate in!!  And I especially love how easy you have made it to Click and Help the 6 Charities at the bottom of your pages!!  I feel good about helping and I do not have to look all over for the links to their addresses!!  Thank you!

Sincerely,  Sunnie

Hello! Congratulations on 10 years of sharing information that if we are willing, will put us on a path of POSITIVITY!

I have not had the joy of receiving Sir Froggie for 10 years (probably about 3 years).  I find it interesting that it is 10 years ago that I began my efforts to work on myself, become more authentic and transparent! I liken it to an archeological dig... It is dusty, dirty, hot, messy and the raindrops of my tears add to the mixture. BUT the treasures one finds along the path are simply incredible!

I believe Sir Froggie is one of my most treasured treasures!!  Not only do you share resources that can bring all of us 'out of the slumps' we find ourselves in, but you take the time to share from your heart, so authentically. You share your triumphs as well as your mistakes teaching us HOW to do the same in our own life!

We are all works in progress needing good energy to fuel us for the day ahead! Sir Froggie and you personally, Jeanette, is some of the best "soul fuel" going!  Cheaper than going to the pumps, and the emails are something I can store and reread over and over again if I so choose!

Thanks for filling up my 'tank' each morning with something to think about in a positive way.

Peace in your heart!

--- Ginny

As a contributing author for SFPNN, I would like to thank Jeanette for providing the opportunity for me to share my inspirations with all of you and to read all the positive things that are happening in your lives.

For many years I yearned for some publication that printed only good, positive news and am so grateful that I found SFPNN.  Sometimes when I am feeling down or disheartened, I get an instant lift by reading something in it.  I feel very blessed that Jeanette and SFPNN are providing this much-needed service to the planet.

Sincerely, Joy Hart

Congratulations on your 10th year anniversary.

I'd like to say that is is truly refreshing to have a publication of "good news" coming into the mail box amid all the forwards of Doom & Gloom. It's not that some of these issues aren't important, but a steady diet of them can turn a person's attitude to the black side.

SFPNN helps me realize there are wonderful things going on around me and in me. Thanks for helping to keep your readers balanced and doing what we can to help others.

Many Blessings --K>

I have often told you many times that ever since we met in person about 15 or so years ago, that you are doing a great job and I am truly impressed!

Tuesday was one of the BEST blessings after reading 3 of the articles by Carole Devecka,  Rev. Charles Stanley, Michael Smith, and oh my goodness, I meant FOUR and YOU  that truly blessed me.

I have to make a confession that I am in love with Joseph Walker, probably because he has my crazy sense of humor...but you must know I love every day of the week that I get SFPNN!

There are miracles in every moment.
The wind blows, the sun rises, the snow falls,
The Oceans relentlessly pound the shore.
Life rolls on with fresh new possibilities at every turn.

Love,

SunnySkyJan

My senior mind can't remember how SFPNN first came into my awareness, but I do know that my Source sends me what I need through all sorts of sources [pun intended].  Since then you both have been an extraordinary source of wisdom and inspiration over the years.  Words could never express my gratitude for all you have been and given to me.

Love you,

Bette

First of all thank you for sharing your joy every day. I first heard of your newsletter through a friend, Mitch, in Napa who suggested the link. I read almost every issue and often use it as a springboard for writing my morning pages.  (Julia Cameron’s Artist Way suggested three pages each morning of stream of consciousness writing which I have been doing for twelve years.) This same friend is special because through that connection I envisioned, then wrote and am getting ready to produce a feature film. So you and your newsletter get woven into the magic of my creative world!

I have forwarded articles and the link to others. Wednesday’s article was perfect (of course) timing as my partner, Bruce, and I are asking for a house sitting gig in Santa Monica or Brentwood, and I am also asking for a producing mentor for my Women in Film mentorship program. It is a very exciting time for us and asking for what we “need*” (and knowing our needs are already met and complete) is critical to the process. Otherwise we spend a huge amount of effort: someone told me once it is as if we were kneeling in the gravel trying to force a rusty skate key into our skates when, if we would only look, up we would see the limo with God holding open the door for us.

*Also, I have started replacing the words “I need” with “It would be cool if…  as in “it would be cool if a parking space appeared” (and it does),”it would be cool if I meet someone who really knows about the Red Camera” (and I did), etc.

I wish you all the blessings and joy in the world…your newsletter serves and it also serves as a reminder that we all can spread inspiration throughout the day.

Thanks and Happy Birthday,

Carolyn

SFPNN has shed much light, inspiration, joy and knowledge on my life. Keep up the great work connecting others for another ten years more and beyond. Our journey together continues. Thank God! Congrats.

Love,

Linda

Thank you so much for the SFPNN articles (and for my insightful reading you gave me a few months back!)  I read them everyday. Some are so touching that I can't help but cry as I'm sitting here at my desk with my morning coffee.

How the articles relate to a situation in my life or how I just needed to "hear that" at that precise moment… Sometimes it's amazing the correlation and I take heart that it was written specifically for me. Thank you!

With much Love,

Michele

Congratulations on your Ten Year Anniversary of SFPNN.

I have only known you personally for the past six months since I have started writing for SFPNN, but I see your enthusiasm and passion for sharing your dream and your spiritual life shining through each day you put together a wonderful newsletter and website.  God did send one of his angels (You) to do his work in getting us all together in one place to form a unique bond that we continually share and expand on.   SFPNN will allow me to fulfill a dream of mine and that is to write and share personal experiences of my own.

Thank You and Keep up the GREAT work!

Patty, Vicarious Travel Author

Congratulations on 10 years!!!!  I find this so very helpful in my daily life.  Thank you so very much for doing this.

--- Joanie

My dear wise friend (even though I have never met you)...

Of course SFPNN and you, with the Angel Therapy, has made a huge positive affect on my life.  I only used the Angle Therapy on one problem which seemed like life and death to me, but I remember and still enjoy the great results from it so much that I am thinking I should contact you again to do another Angle Therapy session in a different area of my life.

From what I learned the first time, I imagine one would get even more out of it every time they used it and applied it to their life.

Some days, like today, I don't get to read SFPNN until right before bed time... Perhaps it makes me sleep better those days.  It makes me feel there is hope, which is a great feeling to go to bed with.

PLEASE keep up the good work!

Congratulations on the 10 years!!!

Rebecca McConnell... Salt Lake City, Utah

You lift me up with your positive remarks. You are supportive and sweet. You think clearly and are full of love.  Of course this is a good thing you are doing…

--- Ellie

I look forward to your message and the other articles as well.  Each morning I make my coffee and turn on my computer to see that you and others have greeted me with your wisdom. For the authors of these articles to share that positive wisdom is a daily blessing for me.

I know myself well enough to know that I need to think, and the articles written do just that. They help me connect with my body, my emotions and my soul in such a way that alignment is possible.

Sometimes I learn new things and sometimes I am reminded of things I already know, but the reminder is sooo needed from time to time.  Your articles have spoken to my heart many times, and I believe my heart is healthier as a result, and because of that my heart is more available for others. When I am aware of that I become joyful and I obtain some peace for my soul.

So, I say thank you so much for providing light along my journey. Your sharing is my good fortune. I send love energy your way! I encourage you to continue spreading the LOVE that you clearly are!

--- Gus

Congratulations on 10 years!

I have a story.

First, you did a story several years ago about an older lady (I believe her name is Fayeolyn?) She was creating scarves and suddenly found herself with a healthy little business making these fuzzy scarves.

The story appeared on March 15, forgive me I don't know the year, either 2003, 2004, or 2005. But the very day it appeared (The Ides of March) my IT department  "accidentally" deleted my entire email archive. I was beside myself. I read SFPNN that day and read about the scarves and this wonderful older lady who was making them and I immediately ordered one.

When it arrived, I draped it around the monitor on my desk at work as a reminder, even when frustration gets the best of me, there are people in this world whose job it is to make others happy. What a great job!!! The scarf is to remind me, when I am at the height of frustration, something beautiful can make me smile and calm me down. The beautiful fuzzy red scarf around my monitor can make me smile even on the toughest of days.

I would never have known about this very sweet lady without SFPNN.

On a personal note, Jeanette, you are an inspiration to MANY people, including me. Hearing from you every day, even in a newsletter, makes me feel close to you and I can feel your love in each SFPNN. Each day I am connected to you and that makes me happy.

Thank you for your commitment to SFPNN, it is a bright spot in my day, every day.

Love, Peace,

Nan

I so look forward to the joyfulness that SFPNN brings every morning as I settle in at work. It's a daily reminder of what life is like when miracles are acknowledged, and occasionally a challenge to my stubborn ego when it gets too comfortable with itself.

Many times I have had the experience that your words, or the words of a featured author / teacher, speak DIRECTLY to my experience. I am reminded so much that we are not separate, disconnected from each other in strangely unique worlds no one else could enter. On the contrary, we are all connected in ways that are wondrous, yet true and simple.

At some point every day I click on the Animal Rescue site link that is listed on every issue and send my love there. Would I have known about them without SFPNN? Doesn't matter, because SFPNN was how I was guided to them, and I am grateful for the suggestion of another place to focus my attention and blessings.

What a bundle of blessing energy that is focused in this little 10 year old 'hobby' of yours! It is a gift whose value cannot be measured, because it is ever expanding with the ultimate optimism of love. Your original inspiration of providing an uplifting, encouraging, nurturing and healing message to a circle of friends has not changed - but the world has as a result of your gift. And the circle of friends may seem larger now, but we were always here looking for each other and a space to come together.

Thank you for creating this space. Thank you for helping to focus this positive energy. Thank you for SFPNN.

Here's to the next 10 years, or the next 100!

Rev. Mark

Sir Froggie's Positive News Network:  Thursday, March 20th, 2008
________________________________________________________________

1.      Happy 10th Anniversary to Sir Froggie’s Positive News Network!

It’s hard to believe we’ve been at this for 10 years now!   It started with the simple goal of finding one good thing a day to e-mail to friends.  At the time there wasn’t much on the internet in the line of positive e-zines.  We’ve grown in leaps and bounds and there are inspirational publications all over the place. That’s a very good thing in deed!

Special thanks to all of our Featured Authors and to our Readers who make SFPNN possible.  Extra Love and Gratitude to my husband Mark who has supported, encouraged and funded our efforts with SFPNN.  I couldn’t do it without all of you!

Together we truly are making the world a more positive place!

2.      What kind of day will today be?

The kind of day we make it!

A little pro-active positive programming can go a long way in creating our heart’s desires.  All of our thoughts have energy.  Energy attracts like energy.  Think about your desires for today. What would you like to experience in the next 24 hours?   Allow yourself to see it manifesting in your mind’s eye and feel it happening in your body so the energy of your thoughts and emotions draws it to you. Affirm it on the lines below!

Today, I desire and experience…

Teach Him To Fish
A
nd He Will Have Food for A Lifetime!

They say that if you give a person a fish, he will have food for one day. If you teach him how to fish he will have food for a lifetime!

So when we think of Recipes for Enchantment, remember the more that a Recipe becomes a part of you rather than just a stimulant from someone else, the more often you can get back to pleasurable states of being.

That's why I think one of the first Recipes for Enchantment that I shared with you is still one of the best. It is so personal and easy that you can quickly use it again and again. Remember, we have to practice six or seven times before something begins to be part of us! Here it is once again, to enjoy and practice.

Recipe for Enchantment

1 Tbsp. of Hope

1 Cup of Positive Memories sifted & separated from negative memories

1 Lost Dream

Add: A Dash of Spice unique to you

Simmer as long as necessary.

When ready, activate and enjoy.

“FEAR NOT”

Please forgive me if I seem a little pensive today.  Last night we said goodbye to Brock, our son-in-law who is leaving for his third tour of Army duty in Iraq, and today I’m feeling . . . well, I’m not exactly sure what I’m feeling.

Sadness?  Yes, I’m feeling that.  Brock has become an important part of our family, and I’m going to miss him – no doubt about it.  But it’s more than just that.  There’s anxiety involved.  Trepidation, too.  Brock is going to a scary place.  I’m worried about his safety, and I’m concerned about his well-being.  I’m troubled.  I’m frightened.  I’m afraid.

Yes, that’s it: fear.  That’s what I’m feeling.  Fear, pure and simple.  Brock is going to be in harm’s way for the next year, and I’m afraid – for him, for my daughter, for my granddaughter.

And for me.

Please don’t misunderstand.  I’m proud of him. He’s a good man, and he’s doing something in which he profoundly believes.  He understands the risks, and while he isn’t exactly excited to go – again – he goes willingly.  Honorably.  And in my view, at least, heroically.

Still, I’m afraid.  Partly because I’m not nearly as brave and courageous as Brock is.  And partly because . . . well . . . I’m human, and humans feel fear – some of us more than others.

God knows and understands that.  So do His angels.  That’s probably why the first thing angelic visitors say when encountering mortal human beings here on earth is: “Fear not.”  You can look it up.  That’s the first thing the angel said to Zacharias, the father of John the Baptist.  It’s also the first thing the angel Gabriel said to Mary, the mother of Jesus, and the first thing the angels said to the shepherds who were “abiding in their fields” that first Christmas night.

In each of those cases, I think there’s a double-meaning to the words, “Fear not.” Of course, the first meaning was immediate, and had to do with the fact that those folks were seeing an angel and might be inclined to freak out a little.  So the angel says, “It’s OK.  You don’t need to be afraid.  I’m not going to hurt you.”

But the deeper meaning had to do with the thing the angel was there to announce, which would lead to the elimination of fear – forever.

This time of year we think of a time when a woman called Mary Magdalene stood outside an empty garden tomb. When you consider all that she had seen and experienced during the previous few days, it is only natural that she was troubled, concerned and, yes, afraid.  So it’s all the more remarkable that the first words out of the angel’s mouth that first Easter morning were those two simple words we’ve been talking about: “Fear not.”

This time, I think, the words were all about their deeper meaning. Because of what had just taken place, “fear not.”  Because the tomb was empty, “fear not.”  Because of Easter, “fear not” – not today, not tomorrow, not ever.

It’s a powerful message, especially at a time when fear seems to have us by the throat.  War, disease, natural disasters, global warming, March Madness . . . everywhere you look there is something about which to worry.  And worry can be a good thing, I guess, if it motivates us to positive action in our lives and in the lives of others.  But fear paralyzes.  It freezes us.  It makes us stop what we’re doing, curl up in a little ball and hide.

And so the message of Easter is simple: “fear not.” No matter what is happening in our lives or in the world around us, “fear not.”  Do what needs to be done.  Respond to issues and circumstances as they arise.  Change the world, if need be.  But “fear not.”

War-bound sons-in-law notwithstanding.
