Howdy Folks and Good Day!

To everyone who wrote in over the weekend and yesterday, please know I haven’t forgotten you.  I’ve just got a lot on my plate right now and will catch up on e-mail as soon as possible… hopefully by the end of the day today!

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned about living a positive life is to make choices which support one’s health.

Our health is a precious gift.  Yet we tend to take it for granted… pushing beyond our limits, not eating right, not getting enough sleep, not exercising, and not creating a stress-free, loving, supportive environment for ourselves – inside and out.  Is it any wonder so many folks are plagued with aches and pains and dis-ease?  (Pain is a call to action.)

We say we’ll be more positive and take better care of ourselves when we feel better.  But the truth is we won’t feel better until we take good care of ourselves and choose a healthy, positive attitude toward life.

Choosing a positive life means choosing positive self care.

Positive self care and a positive life go hand in hand. If you really want one, you must include the other.

Many of us are there for others but neglect ourselves.   I’m personally learning to put myself first and neglect the to-do list if I have to choose between the two.   Even though it may take me longer to get things done, I’m doing them better, enjoying myself and the projects I’m working on more, and I’m not stressed out all the time.  In other words, I’m living a healthier, more positive life!

We shared a Native American story as a Special Edition a while back called “Tatanka Hunkesi: The Wisdom of Experience. It’s about a young man’s father who insisted on doing things by hand even though he had modern equipment which would allow him to complete his creations must faster.  When questioned, the Sioux Elder answered, “If I rush, I will not have the time to become one with the things I make.”

I love his wisdom!  When we work on things whole-heartedly with our full attention, love and passion, we infuse our positive energy into what we are creating.  This not only applies to creative projects, but everything we work on – including our relationships, our lives, our selves!

When we take our time and really put our positive energy and focus into building and nurturing our body, mind, and spirit, we become one with each of these aspects of our Self.  We get all three into alignment and become fully present in the here and now.  Divine energy flows freely in us and through us.   We positively impact our Self as well as those we interact with.

It’s really quite simple.  Yet it requires a commitment to positive self care.  Even if it means things take a little longer to get done.

Here’s to choosing positive self care and taking the time to really become one… with ourselves and the world around us.

With Peace, Love, Happiness, Health, and Prosperity…

Rev. Jeanette

What would you like to experience in the next 24 hours?   Allow yourself to see it manifesting in your mind’s eye and feel it happening in your body so the energy of your thoughts and emotions draws it to you. Affirm it on the lines below!

LOVE IN THE HIGHEST MEOW

It’s hard to believe it’s been seven years.  March 17th, 2001, was one of the most difficult days of my life.  I will never forget it as long as I live… Just as I will never forget the beautiful soul we called Misty.  She was truly an angel (cleverly disguised as a cat) and on that fateful day seven years ago she took her last breath on Earth in my arms.

My husband and I were devastated.  Misty was our only child, albeit in feline form.  She’d been with us for nine years.  But after two months of intensive care at home, we lost her to kidney failure and my heart felt as if it failed with her.

We swore we’d never get another cat.  We swore up and down.  We vowed we wouldn’t do it.  It would be too painful.  How could we ever love another like we loved Misty?  She was special.  She was a gift from God.  And now she was gone.  No, we would NOT get another a cat.

And we didn’t.  But a week later on March 25th, 2001 we were divinely guided (we believe with help from Misty) to adopt TWO cats!

Tiger and Crystal have been with us ever since.  They certainly could never replace Misty but they have purred and pawed their way in their own special places in our hearts… And our home.  And on the computer desk.  And the couch.  And the recliner.  And the bed.  And… well, you know how cats are!

And thanks to Misty, Tiger and Crystal, we do too.

Misty taught us a lot.  Tiger and Crystal have taught us even more.

Each of fur babies has their own personality, their own special gifts and quirks, their own way of giving and receiving love.  They have their own courage as well as their own fears.  Each of them is special in a very divine way.

I couldn’t imagine what life would have been like without Misty.  Nor I could imagine what our lives would be today without Tiger and Crystal.  They truly helped our hearts heal.  They brought laughter where there was pain.  Their curiosity helped us see the world anew again.  Their love has lifted our spirits in the highest possible way over the past seven years and continues to do so.

I’m sure glad we never got another cat after Misty… We got two!

We love you, Tiger and Crystal!  (And Misty, too.)

10. God Given Daisies       — by Carole Devecka

Are You An Ambassador for Positivity?

Did you ever notice how many people are really negative?  Every thing they say, infer, or do, has a negative connotation to it.  These people wear you down in minutes; never mind if you must spend the day with them.

I believe their negativity limits their progress, love, trust, and opportunity in their lives.  And in many cases it ruins relationships.

Worse yet, it's catching! Like the worst virus, flu, measles, chicken pox or any dreaded epidemic. Or, you feel like you are carrying a 1,000 pound sack on your back weighing you down.

I am very conscious of negativity. It is like being rubbed with sand paper, up and down my skin, and in a few seconds...Ouch!  It bothers me to even write about it.

You can say to a child "Can we say that in a better or nicer, friendlier, way?" But you wouldn't say that to an adult. So most of us listen and try to lead by example by putting a positive spin on their negativity.  This sometimes makes them more agitated and negative and they feel they must justify their poor attitude.

How does all of this relate to God Given Daisies and SFPNN?

I feel that we are AMBASSADORS FOR POSITIVITY. Each in our own right.

Yes, we are Ambassadors touching many in our daily lives, and trying to get people to experience something positive in theirs.

A distant relative called me the other day and told me that she was sick and tired of the news on television so she typed "Positive News" in her search box.  Guess who she found on SFPNN?

My 90 year old mother, called me last night. She told me her grandson called, and told her that she was the only person who makes him feel positive about life, and makes him feel good about himself.

See, all of us can be Ambassadors, even without leaving the house!

In the dictionary Ambassador says "A representative of the highest rank, sent as an official messenger of good will, or on a special errand or mission"

So let's stamp out complaints, and negativity!

Please join our forces.  Go out into your own mission field, and be an Ambassador.

You, too, can be a Positivist, and "An Ambassador for Peace and Positivity."
