Howdy Folks and Good Day!

Just a quick reminder that SFPNN is going on summer holiday from May 26th 2008September 7th, 2008.  You will NOT receive daily e-mail issues of SFPNN during this time.  However, you may still make subscription changes or e-mail address updates to your account by using the link at the bottom of one of your previous issues of SFPNN.

We will return to regular e-mail distribution on September 08th, 2008.

In the meantime we encourage you to browse our website with thousands of articles, links to other positive places, and oodles of positive tidbits.  In addition, try to create as much as your own positivity as possible.  You’ll be amazed at what a little positive energy can do to your life and those around you!

Speaking of positive energy, thanks to everyone who wrote to congratulate us on our family’s newest edition!   Howie is adjusting quite well.  Crystal seems to have now accepted him into the family, and Tiger actually ate in the same room with him today.  It’s all progress!

Change in any form does have a way of throwing us for a loop.  Especially unexpected change.  It’s important when going through changes to nurture ourselves and provide good self care, even when it seems impossible.

Taking care of ourselves grounds us, balances us, replenishes us, and helps us receive divine guidance more clearly.  And that helps to get us through the change with a little more grace and ease.

So take care of yourself today and every day!

And check out Lisa’s and Diane’s columns below to see how they cope with change!

With Peace, Love, Happiness, Health, and Prosperity…

Rev. Jeanette

4.      What kind of day will today be?

The kind of day we make it!

A little pro-active positive programming can go a long way in creating our heart’s desires.  All of our thoughts have energy.  Energy attracts like energy.  Think about your desires for today. What would you like to experience in the next 24 hours?   Allow yourself to see it manifesting in your mind’s eye and feel it happening in your body so the energy of your thoughts and emotions draws it to you. Affirm it on the lines below!

Today, I desire and experience…

REAL MAGIC

Ok.  I needed to coach myself through something.  And sometimes it helps others too.  So here we go…

Let go.

Let go of your expectations about the future.  Let go of your hurts from the past.

Be here now.

In this moment, fully open yourself up to and be with what is right in front of you.

Honor yourself.

Say, do and act on what is true for you with integrity and care.

Honor others.

Seek to harm no one.  Remind others that all are capable of owning their power.

Love.

In everything, seek to be a vessel of love.

Trust the process.

Anything and everything can and will be used for the benefit of all involved.

Grow.

Be willing to be uncomfortable.  Seek to understand.  Be curious.

Allow.

Allow it to take as long as it takes.  Allow it to be messy.  Allow it to be what it is.

Relax.

Everything is ok.

Enjoy.

Enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Repeat.

New day, new hour.  Be willing to do it all over again.  Start with Let go and work through the list again.

Until next time…

8.      GOOD NEWS from SFPNNers!

A GREAT START TO THE SUMMER

We just returned from Arizona on Sunday.  We went to my niece's dance recital.  It was so precious watching a bunch of 5 year olds dancing, singing with so much life in their eyes and only knowing how great life is!!!  The little tutus and the bows in the hair were so precious.  It was awesome.

Have a blessed summer.

Big hugs and love,

Lynda

10 YEARS YOUNGER ON OPRAH

The show Mark just completed working on for prime-time, 10 Years Younger, was featured on Oprah yesterday.   There are several editors on the project and Mark was one of many people involved behind the scenes in editing some of the clips which appeared on Oprah.

It’s not uncommon for editors and other crew members to work on a project and never know what becomes of it.  Finding out it is being shown to a global audience is a fantastic feeling!

Congratulations to Mark and everyone else involved… And especially to those who had the courage to participate and receive their make-overs! (l certainly wouldn’t have the guts to put my fate in Jorge’s – or anyone else’s – hands!  LOL!)

HAPPY NEW FAMILY

I had to laugh and cry a little bit at your story about the new kitty because a couple of weeks ago, one day after my birthday, my partner Mike and I went to go "look" at dogs and ended up having that very strong soul connection with a puppy named Nella.

She ran up to us, ready to be loved and that was it.  I really knew she was meant to be ours when they put her back in the pen with the other dogs and both Mike and I started crying.  Not because we were sad, there was just so much emotion there.

Needless to say, we ended up adopting Nella, whose name we changed to Bella, and she's adjusting to our household.  We all still have a lot to learn about what Bella needs to be a happy dog and for us to be happy humans with a dog, but I'm sure we'll learn a lot along the way.  It's a big shift for us, but she is a sweetie and certainly stole our hearts.

10. Wednesday WORD — by Diane, The California Dreamer

STRETCHING YOUR PERCEPTION AND YOURSELF

"As we learn we always change, and so our perception. This changed perception then becomes a new Teacher inside each of us."

--Hyemeyohsts Storm

I personally have had a few changes in the last couple of weeks.  The largest one being with my job. I changed teams and clients.  Normally, this is stressful enough, but in addition to my client changes, our office also physically changed locations.  All things considered, I decided I needed to do something with my attitude and change my focus.

Changes within the work place are normal.  Competition often drives changes. In most industries companies have to change to keep up with technology and client demands.

With my client changing, I am learning a whole new set of responsibilities.  Until I can review and work on all of my new claims, I will feel like a fish out of water.  Again, it’s all very normal.

I am changing my perception of this feeling.  It is an opportunity to stretch beyond what I was used to and expanding my professional experience which will be added to my resume.

My new office location is in a different end of the Valley.  I am going to learn all about another section of California I might not have even ventured into if not for this move.

There are times when change is forced upon us, and we find ourselves in a situation we might never have imagined. When we stretch out of our comfort zone and do something we may not have done otherwise, we will grow and learn more about what we are made of and what we can really accomplish.

In Southern California we have gotten quite the taste of summer already.  The temps have been in the triple digits. I keep reminding myself that I do live in the desert.  Given that fact, and that this is my third summer living here, I decided to focus on what I am going to be doing for the next few months.

Summer offers so many opportunities to learn.  The park districts have summer programs which include concerts in the parks.

Just going down to the beach can be a great learning experience.  I am ever so amazed at how the beach front can change depending on the time of the month and the tide.

There are moonlit hikes in the area that I have heard have breathtaking views of the mountains and ocean.

Make this the summer to step out of your comfort zone.  Do something you have wanted to do for years.  Something that might force you to stretch and learn about not only a specific thing, but something about yourself.

If fear is holding you back, feel that fear and do it anyway.

Make this summer a real time class room.

Take some time to think about what you would like to learn. If necessary, sign up for a class and do some research on the Internet about what you are interested in.  Go to the public library and read the local newspaper for ideas of what is offered in your area.

Make the Summer of 2008 your best summer yet.  Do some of those things that you put on your Vision Board.  I have already done several of the things on mine.  If you didn't finish your Vision Board, do it now.

Here's to a healthy, safe and great summer.
