We are the Warriors
Psalm 144:1 (KJV)
Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight.
As I was reading my Bible a few early mornings ago, I read this verse. I have read it many times in the past, but God shed a new light on this scripture this time.
This thought caught my mind immediately as I read, the Lord did teach our hands to war and fingers to fight on our computers. He is most blessed and He certainly without question has given me not only His mind to do it but His strength. We are warriors! In the intercessory prayer ministry the Lord has given us, we are called Prayer Warriors and that I believe indeed we are. We are in the fight of our lives for lives online with all we come in contact. We are called upon continually to reach out to the hurting and listen to their broken hearts and lives. I think we as Christians are fulfilling many of our appointments and assignments sitting here in front of this plastic box that types pretty colors, odd shaped letters, awesome pictures and instant contact with struggling wounded people all over the world that are in need of our Lord and Saviour. Our reply is the only Bible many will read, we are writing chapters a day in front of them. The answer they need to comprehend is Jesus. The message is what the Lord has done for me, He will freely do for you in a mighty way. That He will take you "just as you are" when you give your heart to Him. That He forgives us of all our sins and loves us unconditionally as no other love we have ever experienced. He will not fail of leave us ever, nor will He change! He will make us a new creature in Him, renew our mind daily and we will live forever in His kingdom. The strongest and most powerful weapon we have is prayer. There is nothing we can say or do as effective as prayer. He is waiting on us to but just call out His name, Jesus, Jesus the sweetest name I know. There really is something about that name! And yet He tells us we know not how to pray, that He can do exceedingly abundantly more than we can think or ask, but to pray without ceasing. The Holy Spirit will direct us and lead us through every obstacles, our Lord’s angels will care for us and be dispatched to help the ones we are ministering to with just a whisper of His name. Just think the power of these little fingers God has given us. At a touch of a button the world knows of the latest heart shattering news to alert God’s people to be in prayer all over the world in a split second. At the same time we can share the great miracles we see and are part of the same way! We are there for the love and support of our online friends. We form bands of friends as armies and unite together in His love for His work and His fellowship. We stand in the gap and pray for not only our friends we know but strangers that appear on our screen in need of a touch of the Master’s hand.
And how do I know this so emphatically? I have been a life touched by our Lord’s tender lovingkindness. I have been a life changed by the loving touch of my online Christian friends. The love, support, understanding, prayers and giving of yourselves to me is immeasurable. You have replaced tears and anguish within a couple minutes with smiles and laughter often time not even knowing it. If my life has been so shaped by you what all is possible for us to do for those that are waiting for a kind gentle word when they are seeking God and His freedom. Can’t you begin to see the massive army we are for God, just think of the lost and broken hearted that seek Him daily.
The Lord has given us all our own way of typing this message of good news, our fight plan..... our personalities can be laid out before us in the presence of all to see. It appears we all have our own style. Just as God makes us all individuals in every other walk of life, He is helping us perfect our witnessing and ministering online. Nevertheless, we all are needed and called to this season for this new way to spread the gospel to the sick and dying world going to hell all around us. We are fought with everything connected to our computers as well as our personal lives to try to prevent us from accomplishing what the Lord has fore ordained our destiny on this computer. It was not by accident that I one day almost 2.5 years ago got enough nerve to surf for prayer chains in desperation and that lead me to a friend that lead me to you.
The Lord has ministries for all of us and we all are members of His body and so badly needed to be His beacon online. God is and will use this and all things for His glory. Isn’t it exciting He is using us?!!!!!
Isn’t it just so awesome the mission He has given us all the while growing
in Him and adding to our family of God
