What would you do if every night the girl of your dreams forgot who you were?

In “50 First Dates” Henry Roth (Adam Sandler) has to face that problem.  After living the life of a carefree playboy, Henry falls for Lucy Whitmore (Drew Barrymore), a beautiful teacher whom he soon finds out has short-term memory loss.  So, every day, Henry must figure out a way for her to fall for him.

Fifty First Dates is both funny and romantic, exactly what a romantic comedy is supposed to be!  Some of the things Henry does to get Lucy to notice him are downright hilarious.  And his friend Ula (Rob Schneider) lends many laughs to the cause.  However, I will warn you, this one does have a lot of gross-out and adult-themed humor.

What I took with me after seeing “50 First Dates” is to think about what lengths we would go to for the ones we love.  If you had to convince the love of your life to fall in love with you every day, how would you do it?  Would you do it?  Maybe we should all try a few of those ideas and see what happens to our relationships.

I’d write more but I’m off to convince my lady love to fall for me all over again.
