CREATE YOUR
As we enter into this new year, I am going to explore new ideas and concepts on how to create a life worth living.
Last week I talked about making a "vision
board." Did you think about making
one? Have you started? If you did begin, did you find it easier than
you thought possible with ideas coming to you without even trying? Having made several over the years, that is
how it works for me.
The more I started thinking about my theme for this year, it became very clear what all of us desire…
A life worth living.
Yes, it sounds very simple, but many of us don't
give a lot of thought to exactly what it means to us. Say "Creating a Life Worth Living"
with me. The opportune words here are
"creating” and “worth."
It is up to each one of us to create our own life. Nobody can live our lives for us. We are responsible for how we live and what we desire.
It starts
when we figure out just what we desire and what is important to us. That is why
having a vision helps. Once you figure
out exactly what you want, placing it in front of you helps to make it happen.
You need to NAME it and then CLAIM it. Believe what you desire is important and possible.
The Bible says it is done unto us as we
believe. If we have the belief we don't
deserve or won't receive good... well, guess what? We don't. When we believe, and know without a doubt, we
can have and be all that we desire,
we get just that!
We often need to get out of the box of our current
reality and try something new, become willing to experiment with our life and
try something different. It can be scary
to step out and try new things or go new places. We might have been told if we do something we
will fail or it won't turn out good. Or
doubts may have been placed in our mind questioning why we think we could do
that. Or have that. Or be that. Those thoughts are just fear holding us back.
Many times the fear of others’ thinking, not even our own.
To have a life worth living we have to let go of
our fear and doubt that we can't have or do something. Replace all those negative thoughts with
positive ones. There might be days we
remind ourselves a hundred times that we can be and have it all.
To have a life worth living, we have to put effort
into what we want. We have to take
action to achieve our desires. Many
times once we initially take that first step with the first action, the rest
becomes second nature and we don't even realize we are doing something so
different. And before you know it, we
have accomplished just what we set out to do.
Spend some time thinking about the concept of what
a "life worth living" looks and feels like to you. Keep working on your vision board. Enjoy this project, make it fun. As you work
on your vision board and “a life worth living,” I would love to hear from you about
what you have discovered.
Believe a life worth living is possible. After all -- it is all up to you.
