"Ed, I don't know if you are familiar with the Southern writer, Lewis Grizzard or not. He was quite a mess. Lived and worked in and around Atlanta all his life except for a few years in Chicago. (Hated Chicago...especially the cold weather and said when he came back to Atlanta from Chicago that he nailed his feet to the ground lest he ever decide to leave again.) He was a genius at capturing the spirit, humor and wisdom of every day Southern life. He would have you laughing one minute, then without your knowing it, he would sneak in a thought or story that would bring you to tears, striking a chord of some sweet memory from your past. I think he was a modern day Mark Twain. Anyway, this is a website dedicated to him and I thought you might consider it as a pick of the week."
