THE GIANT
COMES
Do you have faith in your Self, God, your family, friends, and humanity? How strong is it? How did it get that way?
The giant leap of faith comes one small hop at a time.
Faith can be described as a belief, trust or knowing. We all have faith however we may not be aware of what we put our faith in. Those who trust in themselves, a Higher Power, and the goodness of people in general most often get the best results and take the giant leaps which help them soar and accomplish their dreams.
How do you develop that kind of faith when your experiences have been less than positive?
We build our faith as we build our beliefs or expectations of the world around us; those expectations are created from our past experiences. Yet our experiences are generated by our expectations! If we want to change the outcome, we must change our input. In other words, we have to put our faith in something different, a positive outcome!
Start small.
Even the greatest architectural masterpieces and works of art begin at one small starting point, building up one brick, one brush stroke at time. Wherever you want to increase your faith, challenge yourself to take a small hop of trust toward creating what you want to believe in. If you want to believe in your Self, set a small goal or challenge and keep at it until you accomplish it. If you want to believe in God, ask Him to show you signs and be open to receiving them. If you want to believe in humanity, go to a local charity or organization created to help people. Prove to yourself that what you want to believe in exists and is possible.
Change your focus.
Miracles, acts of kindness, love, generosity, beauty, and inspiration exist all around us. Look for them! Be aware the good things in life are so prevalent they often blend in and go un-noticed. It’s when things go really wrong that we hear about them on the evening news. Take a break away from all negative media. Spend time in nature. Look for small gestures like someone holding the door, smiling, or saying hello. Give your co-workers, family and friends a hug. Read positive books or books which recount miraculous stories. Look for the good to reinforce your belief it’s there!
Build your Intuition.
Trusting one’s intuition has a tremendous impact on faith. Tune in to the subtle cues your body, mind and spirit send you. If something doesn’t feel right, trust it! Yet if you just “know” you’re meant to take the next step, trust that too. More importantly, take the step! See what kind of vibes you get from the people you interact with. Ask your Higher Self what it thinks when making decisions. Learn to understand the language of intuition; it’s how God communicates with us!
Connect with faith-filled people.
Spend time with others who have a lot of faith. Let their faith encourage you and inspire you on your journey. Avoid nay-sayers until your faith is strong enough to withstand their doubt. Faith triggers faith. Fear triggers fear. Stay in an atmosphere of trusting and believing.
Track your progress.
Keep track of what you put your faith into. Every time you get confirmation, write it down. Tell others about it. Say thank you. Really pay attention and make a note of when your prayers are answered and needs are met.
Practice makes perfect.
Put your faith to the test. Practice it every chance you get. Notice when you come from a place of fear and consciously transmute that fear into faith. (Note: Fear = false evidence appearing real; Faith = fully active invoking the heavens!)
Gradually increase the size of the hop into a
As your faith increases, take bigger hops. Then jumps. And finally that giant leap of faith. The way to build any muscle is to increase what you’re lifting. As you being to lift your faith higher, lift yourself higher by making bigger investments in your Self and your dreams.
Actively applying faith in your life not only gives great results, it creates the proof needed to increase your faith. Babies are born with blind faith but it gets reprogrammed through the years. It takes practice and commitment along with tangible evidence that your faith is working to get to a place of complete faith again. Once you do, life will never be the same!
The giant leap of faith comes one small hop at a time.
