BE OPEN TO LEARNING ABOUT LOVE

Can you explain love? Do you know what love really is? Who do you love unconditionally? Can you say you love yourself and really feel it?

Be open to learning about love.

There are as many ways to explain love, and as many examples of what love is, as there are people and animals on this planet. And probably a whole lot more.

At its simplest, love is nothing more than wanting the highest good for ourselves and others. Love can be that strong fondness, liking, or yearning we have in our hearts. Love can be recognizing the divinity in others as well as ourselves. It can be unconditional, yet have healthy boundaries. Love can be as innocent as a baby nestled in its mothers’ arms, or as complicated as we make it.

We can read about love, talk about love, listen to love songs, sing about love, watch movies about love, and analyze it psychologically, scientifically, or even spiritually. But it’s the experience of love which will teach us the most. In fact, sometimes all the hoopla about love actually distracts us from the real thing!

Love flows through every living being. It makes our heart pump and soul sing. Love enables us to be who we are -- extraordinary beings of Divine Light and Grace. Love allows us to see things from a higher perspective and to feel with empathy and compassion, both for ourselves and others.

The best way to learn about love is to be open to it…To actively love ourselves and others. To practice generating the feelings of love – not only for people but for animals, plants, rivers, lakes, oceans, and our entire planet. And of course, for our Creator.

Ask to experience love today and every day. Ask Love to teach you, lead you, guide you. Ask to see through the eyes of love, to experience and recognize love in everyone and everything you encounter.

When we make love an active practice, life shifts. It takes on a gentler, fuller, more meaningful quality. Judgments give way to acceptance. Prejudices give way to appreciation. Lower energies are replaced by higher vibrations. Life becomes magical, even miraculous, as everyone and everything becomes a lesson in love.

Be open to learning about love.
