Along with reminding you that this is our last issue of SFPNN until September 10th, 2012, I’d also like to remind you to make the most of your life.  There’s no better time than the summer to do so!  No matter what age we are summer ushers in a wonderful new energy of vitality, possibility and sheer bliss.  It is truly a time to rejuvenate ourselves in body, mind and spirit.

Recently I met a woman at the local market who appeared to be in her 70’s; she heard Bill Haley and the Comets singing, “Rock Around the Clock” over the store’s music system and began be-bopping along, singing out loud and dancing with her cart.  I smiled as she boogied by and she told me “it doesn’t get any better than this!”  I agreed and we both laughed.

Before I could say out loud how much I admired her youthful spirit she told me she had finally learned to have fun and live life to the fullest.  As a child and young adult she took life much too seriously and inferred that she missed out on a lot.  But now she knew better.

This lady was honoring and cherishing her life full out!

Sometimes we learn Life’s important lessons from books, teachers, parents and spiritual leaders.  Other times we learn them from Bill Haley and the Comets and be-bopping little ol’ ladies!

Regardless of the source, let’s make the most of life today and every day!

Have a wonderful summer my Friends… I’ll see you in September!

With Peace, Love, Happiness, Health and Prosperity,

Rev. Jeanette

PS – We will be doing construction on our website over the summer.  Pages may be temporarily down for brief amounts of time but we’re still here!  You can also find us on Facebook where we will feature positive quotes and other updates throughout the summer.

Kindness Suggestion

The great, spiritual, Buddhist leader, the Dalai Lama often ends his talks by warmly asking two things of his audiences. This is what he says: “Our greatest duty and our main duty is to help others, and please, if you can’t help them, would you please not hurt them?”

These two requests are so simple, yet they are so powerful too. Within them are common sense, wisdom, kindness, the Golden Rule, and the great commandment to “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.”

Just think of how wonderful this world could be if all of us helped each other. Think of every child being held in loving arms. Think of a hand up for everyone who has fallen. Think of sweet smiles between strangers. Think of hugs of happiness between friends. Think of words of encouragement for every struggling student. Think of the sick being cared for, the lost being prayed for, and the elderly and disabled being watched over. Think of acts of kindness everywhere, blessing our lives and uplifting our spirits. Think of all of us connected together by helping hands and loving hearts.

And think of what would happen if even when we couldn’t help others we at least didn’t hurt them. What would happen if every time we felt a nasty comment coming to our mouth we placed our hand over it? What would happen if every time we raised a hand in anger we grasped it with our other hand and said a prayer instead? This whole world would feel more like Heaven because so many of us would be bringing Heaven here to Earth. Everything would be brighter because God’s love and light would be flowing out of each of our souls.

These two requests are so simple, but they have the strength to change your heart, and your life. They have the power to make this whole world better. May you always answer their call.

May you always live a life of love, helpfulness, and happiness.

A Bit of Humor

Please note: the following advice is not necessarily that of SFPNN or its authors.

With summer here and the cost of health care and airline travel sky high, we sought expert opinion on how to make the most of your money and still get what you need. Below are the results:

“If you can’t afford a doctor, go to an airport – you’ll get a free x-ray and a breast exam; and if you mention Al Qaeda, you’ll get a free colonoscopy.”

“You are spirit.  All you have to do is to reawaken to the memory, to remember.  Spirit has no limits, not the limit of the physical body nor of the reaches of the mind.”

Success Strategies by Michael Angier

I get asked this question often. When you own a business called Success Networks (, it’s reasonable for one to want to know what we mean by success.

And I’ve always hastened to say that it’s not about money, power and fame—although those things can certainly be part of success and often are.

Ultimately, success is in how you define it. It’s different for everyone.

And define it you must. Otherwise, you’ll always be seeking something more or something else and never actually feel successful.

If you define a successful life only in terms of what you accumulate, I do think you’ll miss out on a great deal of satisfaction, happiness and fulfilment. And we all want that.

And only in becoming clear on our core values and discovering our true purpose can we hope to arrive at a definition of success and have any chance of really achieving it.

I’ve always liked Paul J. Meyer’s definition. He said that, “Success is the progressive realization of worthwhile, predetermined goals.” But I think the choice of those goals is critically important.

Earl Nightingale might have taken it a step closer when he wrote, “Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal.”

My “work-in-progress” definition is, “Being in the process of achieving one’s clearly defined goals that are in support of, and in keeping with, one’s true purpose and core values.” Because I believe that who we are becoming is more important than what we accomplish.

One of SuccessNet’s slogans is “Purpose, Passion and Prosperity (abundance).” It would be hard to go wrong teaming these up in your definition of success. And it’s no coincidence that we named our home, Casa del Fuego (House of Passion).

In your quest to define and live your successful life, I have two books to recommend. Both are highly endorsed.

The first is a brand new one by Debbie LaChusa. It’s called Breaking the Spell: The Truth about Money, Success, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

We live in a society that conditions us to seek success from the time we’re children. We’re taught to constantly strive to BE, DO, and HAVE more.

Unfortunately, this conditioning has created quite a mess in our world and for many people.

It’s time to step back and re-evaluate how we define and pursue success, money, and yes, even happiness. And that’s what this book is all about. You can watch a short video, and click here grab the book . . .

The second book was first published 20 years ago and is timeless. The On-Purpose Person was written by Kevin McCarthy, and I consider it a must-read for any student of success and achievement. It’s a “deep strategy” on living a purposeful life and told in an easy-to-read and entertaining modern-day parable. It’s available now on Amazon Kindle for only $3.

I interviewed Kevin recently and you can listen to our conversation about this all-important subject. Click here to access . . .

And if you haven’t availed yourself of this fundamental resource and our most popular course, I encourage you to order our Your Core Values. It’s a simple and direct way for you to discover the top five guiding values in your life.
Full details can be found here . . .

Please feel free to comment on and share your definition of success as well as your challenges and accomplishments on the road to your success on our blog posting of this article.
